"That pink thing? It's not all that powerful. I mean, it's level isn't all that high or anything. Besides, those two losers only beat us because we were going easy on them. No weird pink pokémon is going to save them next time."

"Are you serious? Sure I don't like them, but that's a far cry from wanting to kill them. Going around murdering people you don't like is a really bad idea."

Josiah: What inspired you to create PV? And why is it called "Pebble" Version?

[Josiah]

"You can read about my reasons for starting PV in the commentary for the first strip. As for the name, I needed something that kinda went with Ruby Version and Sapphire Version but was a bit "off". Eventually I decided on Pebble (my other choice was Cubic Zerconia). I was originally going to name the comic Pokémon Pebble but, since Pokémon is a registrated trade mark and all, I ended up settling on Pebble Version instead."

Brendan, if you had to date May, what would you do, and where would you take her?

"Had to? Like someone has a gun to my head? That'd be awkward... Um, anyway, let's forget about that and just assume I'm dating May because I want to. Let's see... Well, I suppose it would depend quite a lot on what town we were in. The beach maybe? Or a restaurant? How about a movie? No, wait, I don't think I've seen any movie theaters anywhere in Hoenn... Somewhere fun anyway."

May: How are you taking time to answer these questions when you're battling the two crime syndicate leaders? ((Which does make me curious.))

"I've got this one. Two explanations, depending on your preference. #1: This question thread is a non-cannon OOC type of thing that doesn't really occupy any set point in time. #2: The things you see in Pebble Version already took place a little while ago. So, for May, the battle already ended.

I guess you could think of it kinda like Survivor :D It's filmed in the summer and shown in the winter.

Brendon: What is your favorite pokemon type? Like, Ice, grass, Ice, fire, Ice, water, what?

"I haven't given that a whole lot of thought, and there's some types of pokémon I haven't even seen yet. If I had to choose though, maybe fire."
