Hi. I feel like crap right now... I have ideas for about three different fanfictions bumping around in my head, but whenever I try to put them down on paper I run smack into a writer's block the size of... of... something really big. Also, I am completely reliant on medication to sleep, I feel dizzy whenever I stand up, and school starts in less than a week. Yaaaay life...

Hi! Hope you feel better soon, Doodle!

I went to The Amazing Maize Maze today. It was a lot of fun and I made really good time (got lucky and found the exit in 17 minutes then went back to find the rest of the map pieces for a total time of 1 hour and 20 minutes to find everything and get out).

In other news, I have a phone interview tomorrow morning for a game teaching job. And then just told me today that they want me to do a 10 -15 minute teaching demo over the phone complete with a Power Point. <.< Wish I'd had a bit more advance warning there... I think I'm going to try and repurpose my thesis defense since I've still got that lying around.

Greetings all, Thought I should check in, been a bit busy with work and sleep and stuff.

Update on Kaida's current life status;
So I'm pretty close to finishing my apprenticeship, just need to finish filling out a book, get my Chef to sign it and then have them sign me off and thin I'm done. And you know what, I'll have no job in another week. The restaurant I'm working at has been sold. It's getting changed from a French Restaurant to and Italian one. Okay no big problem. Now normally when this happens new owners like to bring in their own head chef and sometimes sous chef so yo...u can expect that the current Head and sous chef are leaving. But in this case the whole kitchen staff have been 'let go'. Everyone. The new owners accepting resumes/applications fo positions there, but I might be able to finish my apprenticeship in the next couple weeks anyway... maybe.
First place I've worked in that I've really enjoyed working at and this happens.
It's depressing.
Redback, Funnel-Web, Blue-ringed octopus
Taipan, Tigersnake and a Box jellyfish
Stonefish and the poison thing that lives in a shell
That spikes you when you pick it up

Sorry to hear that Kaida :-(

Packing up today, heading for university tomorrow! Very excited but I can't find the incentive to actually finish packing...

Hey!

This has been a pretty good week at school, overall. But today, I didn't feel like going to the football game (since all the good people have graduated last year and we've been losing a lot, too.) Hopefully the homecoming game will cheer us up, though.

Also, it's actually been a pretty boring invasion this week. Compared to my invasion last week, I got about 9 more posts in. Hopefully people will be active again, heh.

Hi...

A-Wahh....I guess falling down those steps did more then I first expected...I must've pulled quite a few tendons. It's kinda weird that both of my ankles hurt though...oh well...

One more thing I must say before going to bed:

Yay for pain-killers and hot bubble-baths!

Hi! Hope you feel better soon, Poison.

Not too much going on with me today. Just hanging out with relatives, mostly. Monday is Hershey Park though, so that'll be fun.

Konbanwa.

I was just having a nice long chat with my cousin's fiancee. She found out about a "story" (AKA Sonic the Hedgehog fanfic) that I wrote. It wound up being 47 pages long in Microsoft Word, with 1" margins, 12 point Helvetica font, and single-spaced with an extra space between paragraphs. It's written in third-person limited and covers the time period of Shadow's stay on the Space Colony Ark 50 years before the game timeline present, and I tried to make it possible for non-fans to follow the story, although no non-fans have read it and told me if I succeeded in that yet.
She suggested I put it up somewhere and see what people think about it. I'm not very comfortable putting up something I've written anywhere but here, but I don't know if anyone would actually read it. Would anyone be interested? Just asking.

In other news, I have a flight back home to the US tomorrow at 9 PM, Beijing time. The flight's gonna take 12 hours, so I'm charging up all my electric appliances as preparation. @_@

Hi.

Well...one more day before my first day of highschool. Gah! I'm nervous. I have at least....3 unanswered questions that I completely forgot to ask at orientaion. Hmm...Oh well, at least I can ask my homeroom teacher one of them. I also like it that my scheduale is not to packed. I have Art, Gym ( >-P ), Algebra, Free (awsomeness), English, Earth Science, German, and Social Studies. One of my other concerns is that I need to find the fastest way to get to every class. My school is pretty good with allowing a lot of passing time, but I will need to be going up and down at least two or three floors for some classes.

Hi! Hershey Park was awesome, as always. Went with my aunt and cousin (technically they're the wife and daughter of my mom's cousin, which makes them...something or other, I really don't know) and a couple of my cousin's friends. Anyway, we went on most of the roller coasters including the new Fahrenheit and played around in the water park a bit. And, in the largest bit of luck I've had in years, I won not one, but two giant (like four foot tall) stuffed monkeys playing ring toss. Normally no one wins anything playing ring toss (in all my years going to Hershey Park, I only won once before and a different cousin won once) but I something got two rings on (two is the max number of prizes you can win per game) before I'd even gone through half my bucket. I gave one monkey to my cousin and am going to try and bring the other back home.

Speaking of which, I'm flying back to Colorado today. It's been a fun trip, but I need to get back to work. Plus, Rosh Hashannah (a big Jewish holiday) is on Thursday so I need to get ready for that.
