Round 4: The Village of Shadows

"Hmm... no luck, too many buildings... I guess I'll head down, look down that alleyway then go over to that big fountain I saw." Chris said as he climbed down the staircase he walked up earlier.

CHRIS
Chris climbed down the staircase. ((Are you going to go back the way you came or try a different route?))

((I was planning on going down that ally you mentioned, the one near the base of the staircase, but I changed my mind, I'm gonna head to the town center, or the fountain that Chris saw))
"Ok, well, back to finding other earthlings~" Chris said to himself as he walked back the way he came (which is real west, right?) "I'll just keep going, past the richy and business areas since I've already been south, north and east. The center is no doubt to the west... unless I'm in the southern corner of the city or something, but it didn't appear like that up on the wall..." Chris thought about the location the the town center logically.

Chris headed back the way he'd come, trying to make his way West towards the center of town. He soon left the fancy houses behind and re-entered the financial area. After walking for a bit he reached a place where the road forked, heading North West and South West.

((Ok, so I'm guessing NW takes me to the fountain and SW takes me in the direction of the city gates/the Bazzar...))
"Hmm... I'll try that way!" Chris said, pointing towards 'true' NW and he started walking.

((Gah, I'm sick of walking around alone >.<))

The road Chris chose soon left the financial distract behind and began weaving through a large number of shops and office buildings. ((Are you looking around closely as you go or just rushing down the road to try and find the fountain?))

((Well, I'm walking and looking around a bit, but not closely, and not rushing.))
"Ohhh... stuff... I better slow down and start looking a bit closer..." Chris said as he slowed down from a brisk pace to a walk to look at the stores and people going by.

((Now he's slowed down to look at things closer and hopefully, but highly unlikely, find the portal. Yea, right, like that'll ever happen.))

((There's a lot of people around and many different types of stores. Are you looking for anything in particular (other than the portal) or just for whatever sticks out?))

"Hey, I'm going to turn invisible and get closer, listen in. You guys should follow from a distance." Capperroff was whispering.

He did as he said, and hoped that they wouldn't notice him....

((Just looking for things that pop out... Also kinda looking for the other team(s) that may be there))
Chris kept walking looking around at the buildings more... Still looking for anything interesting but not looking for anything particular, but something that stuck out.

((Also, where are each of the teams? I can't figure it out, I've been looking over it for awhile but I can't tell what sections of the town each team is in, and by team I mean team from earth.))

GROUP 2 (Capperoff, Takeru, Tod, Kako)
((BFC, how close are you trying to get to them? Also, are you moving quickly to try and catch as much of the conversation as you can or are you going slowly and carefully?))

((Technically, your character isn't supposed to know where the other Earth Team groups are so if you can't figure it out yourself, I'm not going to tell you.))

A few shops with particularily big and flashy signs caught Chris's eye. The first was Wizzly's Portable Wings (which has a long to different types of wings hanging in the window), the second was Daichin's House of Togas, and the third, Soup's on Us, appeared to be a restaurant. He also noticed a small group of people with glowing eyes deep in discussion right outside of a place called The Fuzz.

Chris noticed the Wizzly's Portable Wings store and made a mental note of it. "I'll come back to that but first I should check out that group of people with glowy eyes." Chris told himself as he strolled up and as he got closer he began to creep slowly as to not alert them.

((Within a few feet, quickly until I get close enough that they would hear me, I'd say about 10 yards to be safe, then slowly.))

Chris slowly neared the group of glowy eyed people. They were tall, none shorter than six feet, and humanoid other than the glowing eyes. Though they didn't quite seem to be arguing, they clearly weren't in agreement either. From the bits of their conversation that he could hear, it sounded like they were disagreeing over the meaning of a clue about something. Because it was a busy area with lots of people and noise, Chris couldn't hear everything they said without getting a lot closer.


GROUP 2 (Capperoff, Takeru, Tod, Kako)
Capperoff slowly crept towards the group.
"I got a clue." the one who had attacked him earlier said. "But there was another team there who also got it. They didn't seem to be very good fighters, but I was outnumbered so I didn't want to risk taking them all on at once. If we hurry, we might be able to go back and catch them."
((Staying to listen for a while longer, or are you going to do something?))

"Hmm..." Chris though then inched closer, he got up close enough to where they could hear him then he slowed down and went quieter. He put on his hood and turned on chameleon skin so he blended in and his clothes did too, slightly. Since his jacket is gray and all.
