(About a week later)

Gareth unsheathes the spearhead of his now-bloody poleaxe from the throat of a generic wizard-ish guy.
"Rrr..." Blood drips onto the floor of the ramshackle home as Gareth searches for something, flipping over furniture and pulling boards out of the floor. After several minutes, he finds an old-looking scroll with a note attached to it and reads it.

Untamed Destruction:
Use this scroll to enchant any two-handed sword with the power of Untamed Destruction. CAUTION: You will lose a significant amount of of life force when you draw the sword, but it will return when you sheathe it.

Ahh, so this is the mighty destroying enchantment. Supposedly, this can destroy anything with a clean blow. Blast that I don't have a two-handed sword.... Gareth thought to himself, And there's no way I'd use this on some cheap sword. Rrrm...

((Sure... I'll take the same timeskip. I just kinda need to post...))

Approximately a week after the happy band was formed...

Somehow, every member of the company was able to survive one another for the course of a week. Many arguments had arizen over time, but they were quelled, usually without anyone suffering injuries. Usually, at least.

They continued at a relentless pace set by Evrona. If she wasn't yelling at the team, she was complaining about something or other--usually the group. Whenever asked where they were going, Evrona would bark, "Why do you care? Just follow me, and we'll get there when we get there!" Gil began to think that mindlessly following the jaded woman wasn't the smartest choice he'd made in his life. However, there was something all too intriguing about this quest, and he had to stick around.

One day, they came to a mountain. "Finally!" exclaimed Evrona. "I thought you guys would never make it here, you slowpokes..."

"What's so grand about this mountain?" Gilantias inquired.

"It's where we're going!" With that, Evrona continued to walk forward. Soon, they reached the base of the mountain.

"Now what?"

"HUSH!" Evrona began scanning the base of the mountain fervently. She reached into her bag and pulled out a piece of parchment, glancing from it to the mountain, then back to the parchment again. "Aha!" she exclaimed, dashing forward. After a moment to take in a deep breath, she brought her fist foward into the mountain. There was a great rumbling sound (causing Arielli to shriek in fright), and a portion of the mountain crumbled away. "There we go," she said, pleased. Without another word, she stepped into the cave she had created. When she realized no one was following, she glanced back.

"Hey! Angels! I got you here for a reason, show me some light magic so I can see in here!"
May the Triforce be with you.

...Elves musts be strong. Mano'kai reasoned. She gazed up at the mountain, turning her neck upward as far as it could go, and even then bending her back to get a further view. When she'd reached a position almost parallel to the ground, she stopped, remained that way for a few seconds longer, then snapped back to an upright position, head once again facing forward.
Tall mountain. She stated. After a few more seconds, she proceeded to the entrance Evrona had created, stopping a couple paces before her, waiting for the angels to use their light magic.

Gilantias, taking Arielli under his wing, walked over to Evrona. He muttered breifly, and an orb of light appeared in his palm. Arielli mimicked him, but, instead, her orb danced through the air, spinning about. "Show off," he muttered, not unkindly. She smiled, blushing slightly. Evrona rolled her eyes.

"Alrighty, you guys ready to roll?" Gil nodded, and so did Arielli, after a slight delay.

Iah shrugged. "I do not have light magic of a strength that allows me to create illumination of any sort," he told the others, "so I cannot help." Wodahny snorted and shook her head.

"Some angel you are," she muttered, following Gil and Elli.
Kauka followed the mercenary, somewhat subdued and miraculously silent. A week without water was leaving her feeling a bit tired and not quite as prone to bubbly happiness. She hadn't been using any Watercrafting, so she still had her legs at least, but there was kind of an ache or itch building up in them. Hopefully they would reach a lake or river soon, preferably inside the mountain itself, although she had no way of knowing if the darkness before them held such blessing.

Mevan, after having seen Evrona's group heading into the mountain and recognizing a couple faces, had decided to follow them inside. He entered the cave and spoke. "Dark place for angels to go, wouldn't cha say?" Mevan said, his voice echoing through the cave, "And if you know the dangers here as well as I do, then perhaps I might interest you in my services."

Evrona raised an eyebrow at the newcomer. "Great. More stuffed-up pompus brats." She rolled her eyes and continued into the cave, ignoring Mevan.

Gil turned to Mevan. "Sorry about her she's a little..." He trailed off, shrugging. "If you're looking for pay, I'm not sure you'll find any here, but if you want to tag along, I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to come." Up ahead, Evrona's groan could clearly be heard.

"Hurry UP! I need some light!" Gil sighed, but quickly followed, Arielli close at his heels. Her light danced ahead, lighting Evrona's way. "Much better," said she.

After some traveing through the dark and admittedly spooky cavern, they came to a dead end. Gilantias cursed. "Great, now what?"

"Hush!" Evrona said, irritably, as she took out a small book as well as Gil's book from earlier. She motioned for light, and Elli muttered a few words that sent her light orb over to Evrona to allow her to read. A few moments later, she nodded and snapped the books shut, placing them in her bag.

For a bit, Evrona simply stood there, staring at the rocky wall. Then, she took a deep breath, muttered something under her breath that sounded like a prayer to Elli's keen ears, and leapt forward, slamming the wall with all her might. There was an incredible amount of rumbling as she pushed right through the rocks, causing them to tumble forward. Elli gasped, and Gil quickly sheltered her with his wing from the falling debris.

Moments later, the shaking had stopped. Gilantias looked over to where Evrona had slammed the wall and saw that here was no longer a wall at all. She had completley knocked it over, and behind it there was another section of the cave. On the other side of the ex-wall, Evrona stood, brusing herself off. Frowning, Gil stepped through the newly-created opening. His jaw dropped once he saw what was on the other side.

For the majority of the journey through the cave, it had been dark, damp and very crowded. Now, however, they were in a very large cavern with a roof too high up to see. It took a bit for Gilantias to realize that his and Elli's lights weren't the only light source here--in the far right corner, there was a large torch burning brightly. Gil didn't even have the time to wonder why there was a lit torch in a cave, for his eyes were then drawn to the waterfall near the torch that was cascading down the inside of the mountain into a large pool. A beam of light could be also seen on the water surface--there was an opening to the outside, allowing sunlight in, along with a breeze. In short, the place was absolutely breathtaking.

Once the initial state of awe had ended, Gil turned to Evrona. "How did you know this was here?" he inquired.

"Don't question me! Just be happy I found it," she said, cross as ever. "And be lucky I picked the right wall to smash. If I'd picked the wrong one, would have meant a cavein, which I'm sure you folk wouldn't've appriciated." Gil's eyes widened in surprise.

"You... you risked our lives like that? If you had picked the wrong wall, we..."

"Oh, come off it, it was a 50/50 chance, and I would have been fine, no matter what happened, thanks to my EarthCrafting."

"You would have..."

"Look, I'd love to chat about my morals with a pompus angel, but, believe it or not, I've got better things to do." With that remark, she walked away from Gil and toward the torch. By now, Elli was clinging to Gil.

"G-Gil..." she said softly. "She sc-scares me..."

"Don't worry about it," Gil said, reassuring as always. He turned around to see how everyone else was doing. "Hey, you guys all okay?"

((Geeze, that was a lot longer than I thought it was... huh.))

Kauka instantly brightened at the sight of the waterfall and pool. Squealing gleefully, she darted past the others and dove in headfirst. Wodahny made a grab for the mermaid's wrist to keep her back, but missed and cursed under her breath at both Kauka and her own missing arm.

"Girl's never going to learn caution, is she?" the mercenary eventually grumbled. Glancing at Gil, she admitted, "A bit shaken, but not too bad otherwise. Life as a merc has exposed me to a lot of things." She paused, gazing at the cavern. "Although usually they don't involve entire walls crumbling away to reveal secret caverns."

Iah was gazing at the shaft of light from outside, the corners of his mouth turned upward just slightly as the gentle breeze wafted over him. He eventually looked down when ripples disturbed the surface of the pool. Kauka resurfaced, beaming as she swam toward the shore. As she heaved herself up, the others could see a blue-scaled tail where her legs had been. She flicked the fin contentedly, sending another series of ripples across the water. "We have company," she announced in a sing-song voice.

"If you meant that other angel, he joined us way back at the entrance," Wodahny pointed out.

"No, no, not him. Hi, by the way." She nodded to Mevan, still smiling, then directed her attention to the pool. "Won't you come out? I'm sure everyone would like to meet you." For a few seconds, nothing happened. Then a slight shadow appeared below the surface, growing swiftly larger. Finally, a silver-gray, whiskered head poked out of the water, staring at the group with deep blue eyes.

"What, you made a seal friend?" Wodahny walked a few steps closer to get a better look. The seal watched her approach, its gaze neither hostile nor curious. If anything, it seemed coolly calculating. "How did a seal get in here anyway?"

Kauka merely giggled in response. The seal rolled its eyes and swam toward the waterfall, then dove back under.

(Whee-hee, I can finally get my fourth guy in here. :3 )

"It's a pleasure to meet a beautiful lady such as yourself, and my, you have a personality to go with it." Mevan's nose twitched as he felt a draft of air in the cavern. Hmm... On that thought, Mevan concentrated a strong blast of wind directly downward on Evrona, revealing, for a moment, Evrona's underwear. "It won't do you any good to create unnecessary hostilities, as you may now be aware." Meven the directed the wind upward, turning her shirt inside-out.

Mano'kai was relieved at the sight of the waterfall. After Kauka had jumped in, she made a brisk walk to the water's edge, then sat down and slid in, completely immersing herself in the water. She reappeared ten or so seconds later, not smiling, but obviously at peace.
The water is nice here. She stated.

"We have company," She heard Kauka say.

Hm?

A silver-gray, whiskered head poked out of the water, staring at the group with deep blue eyes.

What, you made a seal friend? How did a seal get in here anyway? Wodahny said. Mano'kai herself said nothing, she only returned the seal's stare with the same calculating expression.

It won't do you any good to create unnecessary hostilities, as you may now be aware. She heard the new angel who she had yet to greet say. Meven the directed the wind upward, turning Evrona's shirt inside-out.

Mano'kai gave him a look of questioning contempt. That really necessary? She asked.

Iah didn't move, but a moment later a glassy cocoon wrapped itself around Evrona, cutting off Mevan's wind and preventing it from reaching her. It was still wide enough for her to move and gesture freely. "I would consider your actions just now to also be unnecessary hostility," he told the other angel quietly. Wodahny was scowling.

"Honestly, you'd deserve whatever she decided to call you from now on," she eventually said. "It's one thing to act brusquely; it's another altogether to indecently expose other people without their permission." She turned her back on Mevan, wishing she still had her right arm. With only her left, she couldn't cross her arms to express her distaste.
Kauka remained blissfully unaware of what was happening, instead trying to coax the seal back out of the water. It was still in the deep end of the pool, out of sight under the foam from the waterfall.

A soft snickering came from somewhere inside the cave, which then turned into full-blown laughter. A boulder near the edge of the cavern shimmered and disappeared, revealing a face-palming Elf and Di'zai who was nearly in tears.

"I'm sorry... I'm sorry... It's just so juvenile!" The Di'zai managed before bursting into laughter again. The Elf sighed and muttered a curse in his native tongue before looking up at the group. "Wow... that was just... wow. And I thought she," The Elf gestured towards his companion, "Was immature."

Zlli moved her body to look further into the cave. Her hands undoing the straps on her clothes and then tightening them back up for them to not fall off. On fire danced at the other side of the large room that was infront of the group.

"Now this is unexpected. Yet I get a feeling that this might be a bad idea." she said as new people started to fill the place behind her.

Her gaze took a twist as she looked more up and saw a few statues at the top of the pillars.

"Hmm, why we in a demon's temple?"

"POMPOUS BRAT!" shrieked Evrona in rage at Meven's childish antics. She reached her hand into the ground and pulled out a rock about the size of her head. "STUPID..." She pulled back her arm, "ANGELS!" and then threw the decently-sized rock right at Mevan, right through the air cocoon. Angry as she was, Evrona was far too preoccupied to notice the Di'zai and the Elf enter.

"I'm DONE with dealing with all of you!" she shouted, storming off through the air cocoon that surrounded her, each pounding footstep creating a visible mark in the ground. Gilantias shot a glare at Mevan.

"Was that entierly necessary?" he inquired with a shake of his head. This place absolutely fascinated him, and he wanted to know more, and he was sure Evrona was the only one that was capable of enlightening him, but right about now he didn't want to be within a one mile radius of her. By now, Evrona had reached the torch, and she aimed a kick at the wall beside it. It crumbled away, again revelaing another passage, this one lit up with torches on the wall. It was about then that Gilantias noticed the voices of the newcomers.

"I'm sorry... I'm sorry... It's just so juvenile!"

"Wow... that was just... wow. And I thought she was immature."

Gilantias turned over in the direction of the voices to spot a Di'zai and an Elf. "Now, how did you two get here?" he wondered out loud.

"We've been here for a while. We heard voices coming from this cavern, so I disguised us as we entered so that we wouldn't be noticed. Name's Martris." The elf nudged his companion. "Izzy? Would you mind being serious for a few minutes?"

"Yeah, yeah; I'm okay- I'm fine." the Di'Zai regained her composure. "I'm Izumi, and I'm guessing you lot are after the same thing that we are."
