Hi! Only a week left in King of the Forums. One or two people have enough points to probably catch up to the current leader if they try hard enough so first and second aren't quite decided yet and third is still easily up for grabs so don't give up!

Didn't really get much of a chance to get online yesterday. First, I started off playing Final Fantasy XIII since I knew my dad would want the TV when he returned from his baseball stuff so I figured I'd just do a bunch of stuff on my computer then. Except that when he got back he took me out to help him shop for a new couch for the condo he and my mom just got down here. Then, after that, I met up with some friends and we go supper, played a couple rounds of Buzz, and watched the new Lost episode so by the time I got back, I didn't really have time to do much except quickly get the PV update ready. My plans for today? Carrying stuff over to said new condo. By hand, since my dad has the car.

Softball wasn't too bad. Only a few suicides, and I'm in better shape than I was a year ago... uh... yay! Last year, 5 laps of the fieldhouse made me wicked tired... this time I did it no problem. Yay! I'm not as fail anymore!

Starting to listen to my Godspell CD's again... good stuff....

Hi! My dad keeps finding stuff for me to do, which cuts down on my time for both FFXIII and working on Car Washer. I probably could have gotten a lot more done if I'd stayed in CO. On the up side though, hanging out with my friends down here is fun.

Moar softball today. Last day of MCAS... I think for good. Juniors and seniors don't take MCAS and I don't think we have the math MCAS later this year... so... awesome!

Just spent a bit of time after school hanging out with PurplePrincess/helping her with her homework/doing a question entierly on her homework and her just copying it word for word/hiding her school supplies. Fun stuff.

Wow, here's something to blow everyone's minds. Ever heard of the Milgram experiment back in the '60s? The psychologist Milgram found it crazy that the Nazi's were able to do what they did and that good natured Americans couldn't possibly do the same things to people. So he set up an experiment where Milgram's partner would pretend to be an average person who joined the experiment just like the subjects. Milgram told them that they'd be doing a teacher-student experiment on learning, where for every wrong answer the student would get an increasingly powerful electric shock. Milgram's partner would pretend (note: he didn't actually get hurt at all, it was all to see what the subjects did) to be electrocuted. Frighteningly, Milgram found that more than 60% of people would actually murder a stranger if someone asked them to.

Because this experiment was so horrifyingly traumatic for the subjects (who were doing this believing they just killed someone until it was over), an ethics board was made for psychologists to ensure something that sick doesn't happen again.

Now, a couple people in France made a documentary based off of a fake TV game show doing the same thing. The really scary thing? Apparently, compared to Milgram's original 65% murder rate, the French got a stunning 82%.

Heso! Yes, I've heard of that experiment... I was under the impression that it was a test of authority than a test of willingness to murder, though. It's not like they were told, "Electrocute him until he dies!" "Lol ok!" It was like, "You have to go along with the experiment! If you don't keep shocking him we'll never know, scientifically, what result it would have!" "But like, he's screaming in pain out there, what if something happens to him?" "Don't worry, he's fine. If anything happens, we take responsibility. Now keep going!"

They were shocked to find how many people would listen to the instructor until the very end, not how many people were all right with killing someone.

Well, softball practice tomorrow and other than that.... a big amount of nothing. Wow. Haven't had a day like that in quite some time... however, tomorrow's when we learn if we're on Varsity or JV. Like I don't already know... He was splitting us up into two groups today and for the past few days, and I am not in the group with all of the returning JV and Varsity players. Heck, coach has barely seen me do anything. He has barely said two words to me, and I think the only time I have talked to him is when I was confirming when practice is the next day. Not that I think I'd make Varsity... it's just frusturating, because he hasn't seen my potential. Whenever he's around, we're doing a bunting drill, or something. Or just playing catch. Nothing where I can show him what I can do. Just... agh... frusturated.

Hi! If you actually just handed people guns and told them straight out to kill the guy, I think the numbers would be a lot lower. But yeah, too many people will just blindly follow orders even if it seems like a really bad idea. And in countries where people are even more self absorbed (ie. France) or given to always do what they're told (Japan) they numers are bound to be higher than the US. The fact that some idiots actually thought making that experiment into a game show would be in a good idea is, in many ways, the scariest thing of all.

Oh it wasn't a real game show, they did it for a documentary - but they set it up to be like a game show and got a real audience and everything. If that ever did turn into a game show, I'd have to really wonder about the human race.

Just got my 8th badge in HG, heading to the Safari Zone now I've never really bothered with them before, but I'm thinking of starting a mostly Ground and Poison type team. Might be fun!
