Re: What's your names origin?

Post by NabMaster »

NABM are my initials (but not in that order) so as a kid I always used NAB, eventually a friend asked why I don't use the M so I put it on the end as Master. However, I also use Retnab (Ret being the backwards end half of master) or Nabisco.

Yeah, but since there weren't any posts since 2007 it's been locked. In retrospect, I do think that one deserved a sticky, but...

I believe I posted my reasons there, and you now have a link to it.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

One I came up with when I started foruming. Lucario is my favourite pokemon, so I used aura, annd thought of it in a star-wars kind of way, making the uses of aura "aura knights". 67 is a random number I put on the end.

Your wish is my command! Behold the awesome mod powers available on this version of the forums!

Anyway, the new screen name thread has been merged into the old one and the whole thing has been stickied. Pretty cool, huh?

Well, my screen name used to be "Eclectic." People almost always typed it as "Eclectric" though. It stuck.

;-) Me and my best friend have rp sense 3rd or 4th grade and when we where comeing up with rp names I had been watching Yu Yu Hakasho. When I was thinking the first name that came to me was, kako. Even through its spelled diffrent then the girl in the show I used that. By 6th grade I had used that name in all our rps we had. Even today you can tell if I'm on a website by typeing in kako as a serch name and I'll be the one with a smiley face next to it. ;-) But anyways thats why and how I got my name,I use it so much in fact one of my friends calls me by that all the type at school.

Mine's really uncreative. Simply my name (or at least a shortened version) with the usual "chan" honorific added on the end.

I've already said what my original screen name is, but this is the story of my current screen name. I was having a MSN conversation with Terra(anyone remember her?) and it all lead up to her calling herself Terranausorous-rex, and I called myself Giga-Gar. Because I'm such a sucker for alliteration, the name stuck, and the rest is history.

[Hmm, well, mines kinda obvious, it's from my favorite gaming platform: Nintendo, and I'm a gamer >> obviously... so, I just merged the into NintendoGamer, it stuck, then my nickname developed into NG which ironically stands for 'Not Good' on my DDR game that I have for the Wii... I'm thinking about changing my name to Hamster or Hamster12342, since that was my original name for stuff, started on RS, I wanted to use Hamster because... I had a hamster >> but it was taken, so I tried 12345 after it but it was also used, 12342 just kinda stuck, so I might get my name changed from NintendoGamer to Hamster one day (nickname for Hamster would be hammy, obviously) so, there, that's my story and I'm sticking with it :P]

AuraKnight67's opinon is that NG is a lot better than hammy, but that is just AuraKnight67's opinion.

No, no, no, NG would be Hammy, not hammy, who ever that is, and NG likes the name Hamster because it was his first ever idea for a screen name.
