As much as I love anime, I think I'll only watch Toonami again if they sub rather than dub the anime.

Actually WS, I can name a few anime where the English dub is a lot better than the Japanese, and a bunch where they're equally good, but that's besides the point.

First off, don't rely too much on online petitions, they rarely carry much weight since they're so easy to stuff. Secondly, this is not the right section for this thread, so I'm moving it.

Can you give a few examples? And yeah, I've seen bad voice-acting for some anime. =/

On top of that, windwitchgirl, why did you just come out of nowhere and start advertising your petition?

Spam.

Also, White Samurai, Fullmetal Alchemist. Also Yu Yu Hakusho. Also Samurai Champloo. Also Death Note. Also Gurren Lagann. Heck, the Naruto dub was actually handled really well, if you excuse censorship that isn't present on the DVD release.

Also why on earth would Toonami air cartoons with Japanese voice over when they're an American Network trying to market to young American fans that would most likely be put off by not being able to understand a word of the cartoon? That's just poor business.

Meh. Even if Toonami came back, they probably wouldn't continue airing One Piece, so this doesn't matter to me.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Silver brought up some good examples. I'd also point to Tenchi Muyo, Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, and Dragon Ball Z were all much better in English. And there's tons of shows that are pretty much equally good.

Silver's right on another point too. The vast majority of people who would watch Toonami are kids who wouldn't want to be reading subtitles throughout and entire show.

Tenchi Muyo was a cool anime, I haven't seen the sub yet but for sure it had excellent voice acting.

I've got the dual language DVDs and the characters really don't sound right in Japanese.

The first Toonami anime I ever watched (when I actually got into anime), probably, was the 4Kids dub of One Piece.

That was the time I actually loved 4Kids, I gotta admit, but now 4Kids is nothing but a BS company killing every anime they touch.

I'm glad Cartoon Network doesn't have Naruto anymore, but I'm only afraid what Disney will do to it.

What's Disney have to do with Naruto? It doesn't matter what TV station is airing it anyway, Viz is the one doing the Naruto dub. The TV station that's airing it may make requests like removing blood, or not having characters smoke, but that's about it. And, as much as I'm not crazy about Naruto constantly saying "Believe it", it's not a bad dub.

Really? My friend lied to me, I guess. :/

I hate Naruto, dub and sub. But I gotta admit the dub did WAY better than One Piece's dub ever did.

Keep in mind that the new Funimation dub of One Piece is quite good. The 4Kids version though, was pretty abysmal.

You mean Tom? He was pretty cool up until they changed the way he looked (again) and added the other robots. Tom 3 was the best one in my opinion.
