12 hour shifts, Neo? Man, that sucks. Hope you're getting good pay for that.

Stevenson, you have swine flu?

Not much going on here, took a trip to visit a college. On the way there we took a wrong turn, and while we were trying to get back, my mom noted that there were a lot of oriental people. We didn't realize until we saw all the signs in Chinese characters that we were in Chinatown. Man, even the advertisements were in chinese (saw one with the Verizon guy on it, couldn't read it) we were supposed to take a bridge to get out, but we turned instead, and had to take the whole route again.

It was a great school, had a lot to offer, but I wasn't too keen on going, see 'cause it was in the city. But then the guides took us to the dorms, and tell us that in your room you can draw.on.the.walls. I was like I'M GOING HERE!

But I'm not going to base my decision solely on that :-P. That would be ridiculous.

Hellou!

Just came from a chili making competition. School's Culinary Culture club split into two teams: Team Ninja and Team Mexicanadian. We were up against pros, so we didn't win, but we were in the top 5. Since it was out of 13, and we ran out of chili before the other teams, I think that's pretty good.

Hi! Ugh, I left though half the afternoon. Probably shouldn't have stayed up quite so late last night...

Stevenson, hope you get better soon!

Nab, sorry to hear that. But, to answer the question, saying someone "passed on" is a perfectly fine expression, not used as much "passed away" this days, but still fine.

Hey.

Me and abunch of my anime friends were having an argument with this Naruto freak at school yesterday. He kept saying Naruto is the best anime ever, and I kept telling him it's not and there is "no best anime" (quote by Silver, whatever...). Also he kept saying Naruto can kill Goku and Ichigo, are you joking?

Naruto is a strong character, but he's nowhere near the powerful as Goku is. Who would actually think that? lol

Nope. On a fixed Salary so I get played the same everyday reguardless of the hours (I even get payed for weekends that I don't work on for the most part. Last weekend was the rareity) and even with what I make it's not enough for what I have to put up with sometimes. Glad I'm deciding to go back to school next fall.

My roommate's girlfriend insisted that the three of us watch the Spongebob movie. David Hasselhoff is awesome, and that's all I have to say on the matter xD

Studying for my Non-Vascular Plant Biology (aka: no flowers, shrubs, trees, or other greenish plants) test on monday, way too many reproductive cycles to memorize. There are 4 different variations of the cycle in one Division alone! :-q

I feel like pointing out that just about every Bleach character has an automatic advantage over characters from any other series simply because, as Shinigami, they aren't supposed to be visible. I guess an argument could be made that some character from some series would have that world's equivalent of high reiatsu, but I don't really believe in comparing across series, because there's really no universal measuring stick to compare all of them to, so I'll stop talking.
Konbanwa. Finished Ragnarok the Animation. Still think it's the worst anime ever. Started Dragonauts. It's not the greatest, but I can actually enjoy it, so it's not that bad. Art kinda puts me off, but the seiyuu more than make up for it. >3

Hey.

Very productive Destination Imagination meeting yesterday, whoo! Since we're doing the theatrical challenge instead of the improv challenge like we've done the past two years, it's gonna be a bigger time commitment this year, which I don't mind since I love DI. Me and one of my friends on the team have been joint writing a novel (speaking of novels... it's November.... kinda late to start a 50,000 word novel and finish it by the end of the month, though.)... okay, we haven't worked on it in half a year, and I've done almost all of the writing (though he keeps trying to steal the credit, saying we've written equal amounts <.< ). We came up with the idea for it through several gmail conversations, so it's a bit of a strange book, and mainly a comedy 'cos I'm writing it with a different writing style than I usually do... but it's a lot of fun :D . Well, anywho, we were coming up with skit ideas, and we were thinking of adapting the prolouge I wrote (he at least acknowledges that, yes, I am indeed the author of the prolouge) to use a sort of chorus at the beginning (like Romeo and Juliet, and probably other Shakespere that I haven't read). Well, after reading it to the team, we decided that, with a few changes, the story actually worked splendidly for the theatrical challenge!

I'm kind of excited about that, one, because we've got an idea that we can all agree upon, two, because I can't help but be glad that we're using something that I (and my friend) wrote, and three, because it so turned out that I get to play Ugy (Guy, but rearranged), who literally has two different personalities, evil and good, and literally talks to herself and has arguments. My storyline signifigance isn't too much, mainly just there for comedic purposes, but I do have important moments that are... important, and such.

So.... yeah. DI should be pretty exciting this year. Maybe I'll get a video of our final presentation up in March sometime... if everyone on the team pulls their own weight, we should be able to get far. :D
May the Triforce be with you.

Hi.

Speaking of Anime I'm going to an Anime Convention next weekend (the 14th) just down the street from my appartment. I would of went to it last year but my car broke down leaving me with not much money and I didn't feel like walking 1 mile in my costume with a strong head wind :)

Hi! It looks like everything is coming together nicely with the demo for my game. We're planning to enter said demo in the Independent Game Festival Student Showcase (deadline is a week from today) and I'll be making a web site for it shortly after. The demo will be free. The full game (when it's done), will probably cost $5 - $10. Can't say for sure how long the full game will take to complete once the demo is done though (mainly depends on my own schedule and who I can find to do art).

That's really cool guys! and Josiah, what kinda of game are you creating? Something like an RPG like pokemon of FF, or more like and adventure type thing kinda like runescape? or a completely different type of game all-together?

Bad news: Left 4 Dead 2 isn't for PS3. Good news: the PC version will probably run on any decent computer.

Anyways, for physics class I had to make a car powered by a mousetrap. It was a fun project, and I think mine turned out pretty well.

In other news, my internet is behaving much better lately, which is a very good thing.

Hi! Unless you're doing a mod, RPGs in general (especially big complex ones like Pokémon or FF) and any type of MMO are far too large and complicated to do as a student project. Those type of things generally involve teams of sixty to several hundred people. Maybe thirty at an absolute minimum, and then only for smaller games without cutting edge graphics. And, of course, all those people are working full time on said game for around 1 1/2 - 3 years. If you try and do something of that magnitude as a student project (and there are students who try), it's pretty much guarenteed to fail miserably. At best, you might be able to make a short demo.

But anyway, the game I'm working on now is an arcadey casual game called Car Washer Summer of the Ninja. If all goes according to plan, I should have a web site, complete with free demo, for it up in a couple of weeks, so you can find out more then.

Ugh... My phone someone got turned off last night without me noticing. Which was a problem because it doubles as my alarm clock and there aren't any other clocks in my bedroom. So I totally overslept while waiting for my alarm to go off. Sigh... Good thing I don't have anything really important going on today.
