Shymin: Available right now through early November via Wi-Fi mystery gift (just unlock Mystery Gift and get a gift from Nintendo Wi-Fi). At least it's supposed to be. Isn't working for me at the moment though, so I'll try again tomorrow.

Arceus: It'll be given away at Toys R Us November 7 - 15.

On that note, you don't have to worry about replaying half the game to get them for me, NG. I can just pick them up in the give aways.

Um. I haven't gotten Shaymin, But I have got "Oak's Letter" So I can go get it when I've completed the storyline and beaten the elite four.

Yeah, it's technically a give away for Oak's Letter. Still not working for me though...

Has anyone else successfully gotten Oak's Letter via Mystery Gift? It still says "no gift available" every time I try.

I've gotten it and so has my fiance.

I don't know why it wouldn't be working, the only reason why that I can think of is that your wi-fi connection is having issues.

I just checked on mine and its still telling me that the gift is available.

Maybe your out of range for the gift or something...

well, mines not working either, well, it wasn't working when I could play DS games on my DS, that is. but I already got the shaymin awhile ago.

Well yeah, it's not going to work if you already have Oak's Letter.

I meant, I tried it before I did the code, it didn't work, so I used the code.

After some further research, it looks like the Oak's Letter Wi-Fi giveaway only works if you have Platinum.

I have platinum, but my DS is broken, and I'm stuck at the 5th (I think, its crasher wake) gym, and I don't have any trainers to battle >.> and I'm only like lvl 28 all 5 of them so I get kill. I could mail you my platinum version, then you could trade it to you diamond/pearl version and then mail it back to me, as I really have no use for the game anymore until I get a new DS.

I have all three versions and two DS's available for me to use, and I checked to make sure before saying anything. But Oak's Letter cannot be traded. It's a key item and cannot be held by Pokemon. Unless you use a cheat I don't see any way to transfer it from one game to another.

Actually, you can transfer mystery gifts between games. Though what you do is transfer the Wonder Card, not the letter itself. There's an option in the Mystery Gift menu called Get from Friend that lets you copy of Wonder Cards that other carts have. Though, the Wonder Card used in this give away might be exclusively tied to Platinum, I don't know.
