I didn't mean just you when I asked people to read this thread more carefully. If you took it to mean that way, then I apologize for that, but for that only. "Forgetting" which color we were talking about could have been easily amended by flipping through previous pages of this thread. Generally, people entering new characters take note of which text colors are already taken before picking one of their own. That would include checking all previous entries in both the roleplay thread itself and in the OOC.
Yes, I agree with you that having all our characters meet up at once is extremely unlikely. However, if you weren't going to add them until later, you could do as you are with your second human and put up their profiles when you actually add them. Entering them with Gareth before the roleplay even starts carries the implication you'll be roleplaying them right away. Unless, of course, you plan on posting what they're doing all on their lonesome before meeting up with everyone else, which you haven't really been doing. If that was your intention, then I apologize once more for the misunderstanding.
I am not trying to make a big deal over "petty things." What I pointed out is something almost all roleplayers on this forum do. Perhaps my nerves are simply in the wrong places from your point of view, because quite a few of them are set off when someone doesn't do the "right" thing. I'm not discouraging variety or free will, but I'm willing to bet I'm not the only one who gets frustrated by people who aren't doing what everyone else expects them to. In this case, double checking for a previously used color before posting, therefore saving everyone else the trouble of pointing it out and potentially annoying the poster.
In case you haven't noticed, I didn't exactly follow your edited-in advice. I don't know how old you are or how long you've been roleplaying, but I've been here since 2004. At the very least, I've had five years to get used to the way things are done here, and I'm not going to change that understanding because someone who joined half a year ago told me to.
This is not by far the most annoying thing I've come across. As much drama as you think you're going through, everyone else has just as much going on, though it may not be the same type of drama. This is a place for most of us to hang out and have fun. Unless we offer information about it, don't go presuming things about our lives.
And if anything I've said riled you up enough to chance a response, I propose we take it to PMs. This doesn't have much to do with the roleplay anymore.

Ugh.... not again. Eclectric, you really have a knack for blowing things out of proportion. If it was anyone to post a brief apology, it should have been you. "I would also like to suggest that Eclecteic bring his angel and Di'zai back into the picture before adding someone new." It was a suggestion, not a demand as you made it seem. What Mandi was saying, is if you plan to intro this character later, intro it in the manner I did with Evrona. I put up her profile when I brought her in because I didn't want to RP her right away. "but I do not, nor does anyone else, appreciate outbursts over petty things." ....then why do you.... I'm just not gonna even point out the obvious there... Mandi was irritated, because we've just had several posts to WS talking about how purple was already taken. I do not blame her.

All other things aside, your character sounds fine. Though, you really don't summon spirits. You just use their powers. Spirits are everywhere, though they are invisible to all but Seers. When one tries to use magic, spirits will naturally flock to you to allow you to use their power. When you've made a pact with a spirit, that just makees you all that more attractive to the spirits, plus having the power of a spirit inside of you to draw on is crazy awesome.

I thought of it as being a sort of give and take thing. The magic is stronger, but so is the spirit trying to control him.

Whoops. Maybe my OOC gave off the wrong impression.
I'm not notpicking that this roleplay isn't getting enough activity, Saber (I'm at least one that hasn't been posted in since last October; I can wait). Life always takes priority over roleplaying, and since I've been at it for 5 years, I know just how deadly writer's block is. It's fine that you're not moving the plot much. Managing any sort of plot pacing at all is a challenge, in my opinion. I say you're doing fine and not to worry. I was simply explaining why my characters aren't doing much; nothing to make 'em react to.

And...considering I still haven't added Akaku, I'm probably not bringing him in until our little party gets to a decent body of water. He spends more time underwater than on land, plus switching forms puts him through the hassle of having to dress himself. And I kind of like the idea of introducing him as a seal.

I feel that someone feels that i shouldn't even be part of the group nor even post in the thread anymore. Are people just don't care about others that are trying to get their ideas out and getting them mad? I'm mad that Eclectric is pushing me away and I want to be part of the group.

While Gareth's reaction to Zlli is rather...powerful, it's possible Eclectric is only trying to provide some variety to the roleplay. Nothing too exciting has happened yet (no fights or anything), and if everyone just kept accepting every member of every race that pops up, we sure are one happy-go-lucky bunch. It's a wonder we're still alive, considering the situation. It's nice to have a skeptic around to remind us it's not such a nice world at the moment.
Perhaps I'm partially to blame, since I just posted here saying my characters had nothing to react to. Well, now there's something, I guess. oo

On that note, Eclectric, note that in my reply (which I'm typing up at the moment), Wodahny is only being in-character. I'm not angry with you, but she's also had past (negative) experience with demons and is not very happy with how Gareth is treating Zlli. Kauka's being her usual everyone-can-be-a-friend self, so she's not strictly opposing him either.

Magic would mean stuff like levitating, blowing things up, summoning things to help you, shapeshifting, etc. Generally in this roleplay, your character should be really good at one and really bad at the other, or not so good at either of them.
"Soft flier" could probably go under Aircrafting, and I have no idea about "animal friendly"...

Soft flier would be very AirCrafting-y, definitely. Animal Friendly could just be... you just happen to be friendly with animals. Unless you wanna make it like... have an absurd bond with animals, then you'd probs have a little magic influence there.
