um... Saber? I made a post saying I edited my character profile. Can you check it out, please?

Re: Azuri OOC
Purple is already taken as a text color, so you'd have to change at least that.
I just spent about two hours browsing lists of legendary/mythological beings/creatures, but came up with very very few with an affiliation with ice (Norse Frost Giants, the Yeti, the Wendigo, and the Yuki-onna/Snow Woman, to be exact). None of them would match my character very well. - -'
I'm thinking I'd either have to tweak a water-affiliated race to make it capable of manipulating ice (that would need Saber's approval), make my character an anomaly and say he's the ONLY one who's worked out how to control ice (which would be making him out to be some kind of prodigy, which might not be desired), say he uses ice magic instead of IceCrafting (if that's what it's supposed to be called), or invent a new race altogether (which tends to be really hard, as I'm not exactly the most creative person alive). :/
I admit making him a Selkie would have been interesting, but again, they're water-element. :x

Re: Azuri OOC
I figured that what other people had said already went.White_Samurai wrote:Hey Saber is it too late to join Azuri?
Name: Kaiser
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Species: Elf
Appearance: Long blonde hair with blue eyes and pointy ears, obviously. Is about 6 feet, 3 inches in height. Wearing dragon-hide archer armor and leather boots. Somewhat muscular.
Abilities: Very swift in combat, fast punches and powerful kicks. Is able to leap very high, even to reach tall branches on trees. Very skilled with the bow and arrow, able to hit foes over hundreds of feet. Skilled with the sword, but specialty is the bow.
Powers: Is able to command the power of the earth. He is also granted with superior strength, being able to fling big boulders at enemies. His hands are like a catapult, technically.
Magic: Kaiser is able to connect with nature, and whenever he plants a seed, it will grow into a new life in an instant. The trees are like his friends, and they are able to supply him with food and extra arrows. The trees can also assist him in combat.
Text Color: Purple?
Question:
Are we supposed to have more than one character?
You can chuck bolders? That's EarthCrafting. You can make trees assist you in combat? That's high magic. Elves don't have enough physical strength to chuck bolders at people without EarthCrafting. They have light builds, and are therefore faster than humans, but they are also weaker physically. And, yes, purple is already taken as a text color.
By a "spectrum" I meant... y'know black and white? Opposite ends of a spectrum, with grey inbetween. Currently, you're acting as if there was no grey, and you have both black and white. You don't. You can be somewhere in between. Your magic is excpetional, so you'll have to tone down the EarthCrafting to just lifiting small rocks, or just take it away entirely, which would make more sense since elves aren't known for their EarthCrafting.
I figure that some of the WaterCrafters have figured out ice a bit, but very much at all. Your dude is just gonna be proficient in ice.BionicleMandi121 wrote:Purple is already taken as a text color, so you'd have to change at least that.

Maybe... it's kinda like the Sandbenders from Avatar. They're Earth benders, but due to their surroundings, they all adapted sandbending to the extent that normal earthbending is forigen to them (oh, and just FYI, while I'm talking about Avatar, I did NOT get the idea for this from Avatar, I've had this idea for years, before Avatar ever came out). So... maybe some tribe of a water-based race lives where it's cold and adapted so that they learned how to control ice to the extent that controling just water is bizzare for them.
Hmmm... whenver I think "ice", honestly the first thing that comes to my mind is the white wolfos from Legend of Zelda :P. Wolf-man? Nah, seems too unoriginal, and too werewolf-ish.
May the Triforce be with you.

Re: Azuri OOC
I was thinking of Avatar too, actually, but more about how its Waterbenders can control all forms of water, not just its liquid form.
Considering everything you said, could I go ahead and make my guy a Selkie from the northern parts of the ocean, where there's icebergs and frozen stuff? :o

Re: Azuri OOC
Did a SUPER quick sketch of my character so people can kind of get a feel of how she looks.
The orange strip is her belt, and she carries items, her blacksmithing hammer, and some finished weapons on it. She has a pocket on the front of her "dress". She has long auburn braids and wears black boots.

http://i28.tinypic.com/rk372e.jpg
She's about knee-height... so right now she's hiding (and because of her height, it should be rather effective; although I'm assuming people would have seen her as she walks up to the mercenary) behind Mandi's Wodahny. :< Just a quick reference.

She's referring to Wodahny. She's my human character, and her occupation is mercenary. Yeah.

Re: Azuri OOC
Well drat, Wodahny took the text color I usually use for this guy. Let's try something new.
This is the profile of my fourth character, for SK to approve in case I decide to use him (which is looking more likely the more I work on him).
Name: Akaku
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Species: Selkie
Abilities:
~ ElementCrafting: He has enough WaterCrafting to be an excellent swimmer, influencing the currents around him to easily escape would-be predators (orca can't tell if he's a real seal or not, so they chase him anyway). His true specialty lies in his IceCrafting, which all members of his Selkie tribe have picked up due to living so far north. He can freeze any body of water given enough time and provided he has enough energy; the larger the body of water, the longer he takes to freeze it solid. Once frozen, he can manipulate the ice, picking it up and throwing it using only small gestures. His ice resists melting unless exposed to very high temperatures, such as the flames produced by FireCrafters, and is harder to break than normal ice, due to his actively keeping it in frozen form. Conversely, he can also instantly melt ice back into water (again, the more ice he has to melt, the longer it takes him). As a means of offense, defense, or distraction, he usually freezes water into thin needles, which he then fires at an opponent. He keeps his water bottle (see below) full by recalling whatever water is left after he attacks with it, and as a result has gained proficiency in extracting moisture from other objects (though not from living beings). His ElementCrafting is not affected by his appearance, although throwing ice blocks is somewhat easier with arms.
~ Magic: Nil. Absolutely none. Not even a trace.
Appearance: As a seal, he's a monotonous pale gray all over, darker on his fins and tail. His eyes are a very dark blue, nearing black (in fact you can only tell they're blue if you have just the right lighting). As a human, he's pale-skinned and rather slender. His eyes become pale blue, and he has white hair that falls to his hips. In both forms, he carries a gray bag fashioned from some sturdy, flexible material. In it he keeps his clothing (having no need of it in seal form, but requiring decency in human form) and a large, durable bottle filled with water (it's about half a liter in volume). He carries the bag slung across his body (wearing it over one shoulder so that it rests against his opposite hip, and the position's equivalent in seal form). His clothing, when he wears it, consists of a white sleeveless shirt with a rounded collar, a thin gray belt with a silver buckle, white shorts that go to his knees, white fingerless gloves, and white ankle braces. He also gets a gray headband to keep his bangs off his face. He's a strong swimmer in either form, but his seal form is extremely awkward on land.
Text Color: Silver (It's one of those harder-to-see ones, sorry)

Re: Azuri OOC
Siranae, my character's short-form name was supposed to be Kai... Oh well, I've got plenty of back-up names that are totally not stolen from fantasy novels. (LIES) Uncoincidentally, I feel like introducing a possible new race that may or may not be stolen from Dungeons & Dragons.
Goblins (Earth)
Appearance: Goblins are stupid, evil creatures rarely more than three or four feet tall with green, mottled skin. They are almost always bald, have long ears and red eyes. They usually wear little more than dirty, tattered tunics or loincloths.
Society: Goblins hate other races with a passion, especially elves and dwarves; however, they lack the intelligence and cohesion to form anything more than small bands or tribes. Even this is rare though, as goblins hate each other almost as much as they do other races. The bands or tribes are often ruled by larger, stronger goblins who force weaker goblins into servitude. Because of their individualism and cowardice, goblins as a rule tend to avoid lands populated by other, more civilized races; dwelling instead in forests and plains far away from any towns or villages. It is here they maliciously attack any who dare walk down the path less travelled.
Abilities: Because of their stupidity, goblins rarely (if ever) are capable of EarthCrafting, and are never able to use magic. Occasionally though, a Goblin may become enlightened and be able to EarthCraft. These rarities are revered as gods by their lesser kin, and usually rule over larger goblin tribes. Physically, goblins are small and weak, and are rarely a threat on their own; however, they can be very dangerous in large numbers. Goblins are cowardly creatures, and thus don't attack unless they have a clear advantage. Because of this, goblins rearely attack well-armed caravans, preffering to ambush smaller groups of travellers. They have also been known to abduct members of other races, who are then rarely if ever seen again. When they do fight, goblins use makeshift weapons such as stones, clubs, and javelins.
Sooooo... yeah. Let me know what you think of my little creations.

Re: Azuri OOC
Exactly. I didn't design them to be playable, I designed them to be generic baddies for us to fight.
