To balance out the species ratios a bit more...

Name: Inha Taino (EE-na, ta-EE-no)
Gender: Female
Age: 24
Species: Dwarf
Appearance: Short, even by dwarf standards. She has two long braids usually cascading down either side of her neck, ending just short of her waist. Her hair and her eyes are dark auburn. Her skin is extremely tan (think... beige?) and her hands are small and rough. Although she is 24, she looks to be much younger, mostly due to her height and large round eyes. She usually wears something similar to a working smock, although anything plain with many pockets work as well.
Abilities: She knows very little about magic (and can deal with none) and focuses on FireCrafting. She also studies weapons of various types and is quite handy at blacksmithing, especially with repairs. Her FireCrafting is mostly used to aid her in her work, but can be used offensively as well if required.
Text Color: Goldenrod, unless that's too similar to Gold. If so, "Tan"

^ how's that? I haven't filled out a profile in ages, so I'm not really used to this. :v And her name was really random on-the-spot thinking. @____@

Sweet. That makes Kauka's job of possible self-defense easier, when she's walking around on her legs and not too close to external bodies of water. I did say she was very good at WaterCrafting, so she could probably use the method you described.

Speaking of which, what happens when a merfolk converts their tail to legs and walks around on them? Is there, like, a certain time limit after which they revert back to a tail? How soon after they return to their original form can they use their legs again?

I was also wondering, are master WaterCrafters capable of hindering their enemies by controlling the water in their bodies? For example, Kauka gets jumped by a group of bandits; could she use her WaterCrafting to paralyze them by preventing them from moving?

Hey Saber is it too late to join Azuri?

Name: Kaiser
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Species: Elf
Appearance: Long blonde hair with blue eyes and pointy ears, obviously. Is about 6 feet, 3 inches in height. Wearing dragon-hide archer armor and leather boots. Somewhat muscular.
Abilities: Very swift in combat, fast punches and powerful kicks. Is able to leap very high, even to reach tall branches on trees. Very skilled with the bow and arrow, able to hit foes over hundreds of feet. Skilled with the sword, but specialty is the bow.
Powers: Is able to command the power of the earth. He is also granted with superior strength, being able to fling big boulders at enemies. His hands are like a catapult, technically.
Magic: Kaiser is able to connect with nature, and whenever he plants a seed, it will grow into a new life in an instant. The trees are like his friends, and they are able to supply him with food and extra arrows. The trees can also assist him in combat.
Text Color: Purple?

Question:

Are we supposed to have more than one character?

This, again, has to do with the whole "drawing on your inner water" thing (oh, and while I'm at it, EarthCrafters can do the same thing, though not many know how to as it isn't necessary in most circumstances). You WaterCraft a lot (drawing on inner water), you can't remain without fins for long. They can control their legs (well, at least when they have some skill). If you don't do any WaterCrafting, you can remain with legs for a long time. Probably not indefinitely, merfolk need their water, but certianly for a long time.

Uh.... I've never really thought about it, but I'm gonna have to say no. Because, here, everyone is made of the 4 elements. Then, in theory, master crafters of all four elements could do that, and I just don't want to have that.

White Samurai, you can join, and, no, you don't need multiple characters. However, Elves are not able to WindCraft.

So merfolk only need their fins when they WaterCraft? oo
I was just wondering about the paralyzing thing 'cause the original character of Kauka could do something along those lines.

Oh yes, and purple is taken by Luquos, although he hasn't posted since entering his character profile. :/

Well, yeah They can keep their legs for a long time, but if they start drawing on their inner water, then their legs will eventually revert back to fins since they won't have enough energy to maintain the shift from fin to leg. That, and if it's really hot out. Like, a merperson wouldn't do very good in a desert. The heat eventually will start draining you, so you'll need to return to a water source to.... recharge, for lack of better word.

By EarthCrafting, I mean you can chuck rocks at people. It has nothing to do with plants. Making plants grow is a form of magic. However, making an earthquake is something a strong EarthCrafter could do (and, of course, not a major one). Also, EarthCrafting does not require incantations, while magic does.

And... to have a seed instantly grow (which it wouldn't exactly, you'd need an incantation) into a magnificent tree would be pretty good magic. Making an earthquake is pretty good EarthCrafting. ElementCrafting and magic are opposite ends of the spectrum. The more skilled you are at one, the less skilled you are at the other. You'll need to edit it a bit more.

edited once more, and I tried to balance the powers and magic a bit. Earthcrafting and nature magic.

I might've made it too powerful, though.

Here's a suggestion, White_Samurai. If you're good at magic, you pretty much have to suck at Crafting, in this case, EarthCrafting. That's from what I gather, anyway; I'm not a veteran. Basically what I see in your character profile is INCREDIBLY good magic (the seeds and all) and also incredible abilities as far as Crafting goes. You might want to stick with just one.

And having trees fight with you? Wow, I'm sure that would drain your energy out like mad.

On another note: I'm not sure where to join in, so I'll be taking a while to read some of the previous posts before I can get a feel on how to enter. :<

Just a question I've had for a little while now, Saber. Is there any water-based race that specializes in using ice? Depending on how things turn out, I might want to add another character, but as I already have three, I'll hold him in reserve. I simply thought his personality wouldn't work very well if he were of the Merfolk.

No, not that I've thought up already, but that's a good idea. Never really crossed my mind, but it could be interesting.... if you've got an idea, just let me know. Maybe I'll think of something as well.
