I agree with Saber Knight... cream pies are the squishiest, and tend to create the most mess. An apple or cherry pie would break apart when hitting a person's face, then fall of in chunks. The cream in the cream pie sticks to the persons face long after the pie has been smashed in their face, thus extending the humiliation for several seconds.

We should all stock up on pumpkin pies and pie people on halloween :ninja: At least it'd be festive! But yeah, cream pies are the way to go, the others are too gooey and don't splat as well.

I think this issue's been beaten in my absence. Well, of course cream pies are used. The mess, the sticky, the softness- I mean who would want to break someone's nose with the crusting atop a cherry pie?

New issue! Is the cake really a lie? If so, why?

Yes! Peach promised a cake in Super Mario 64 and Mario never got it ::-(

As a general rule, yes, but my special chocolate cake (see the cooking thread) is not a lie, because it's just that good. Just ask Silver.

Stevenson's cake is, in fact, not a lie.

Also, the cake is a lie because that's what the graffiti on the wall said.

But GLADoS told me it was real... I don't know what to believe...
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Yes, the cake is really a lie. Something that tastes that good can't be good for you at all. Just think of all the havic it reaks on your body. So cake lies to your body by saying "I'm good." when it says to your body "Now lets see how fat I can make you."

That was fun

But Neo, if that's the case the correct phrase wouldn't be "The cake is a lie," it'd be "The cake is a lier." There's a big difference there.

Zanther, It's good for your soul. O:-)

But in other respects, health included, the cake is definitely a lie. Especially those cheap ones from supermarkets. Sure, they look all festive and delicious, but then the icing has the taste of shaving cream and makes you gag. Now that cake is not good for your soul.
I don't know where my relatives get these evil cakes of lies, since ShopRite (the supermarket near me) has really good cakes. Do they go out of their way just to find one that tastes horrible, hoping we'll begin to avoid baked goods and stay on more healthy diets? Our diet is healthy enough! With all the sports we do it has to be!

Hold on, which cake are we talking about? Is there one specific cake that is referred to as "the" cake? Or are we just talking about cakes in general.

We make our own cakes here and, I gotta tell you, whoever told you the cake is a lie hasn't tried ours. I should steal the recipe sometime.

Anyway. Supermarket cake is a lie. But pre-prepared foods usually are. Wow, pre-prepared is really redundant.

Here's a hotly debated topic for you. Should the capital letter Q have a straight line or a squiggly line?

When written, I'd say straight. Saves time, I'd believe.
As for when typed, it doesn't matter? I suppose curly looks better, so in typography, might as well make it curly if that's the style you wanted anyway. After all typing out 'shift+q' doesn't change how much we have to do, just who designed it.

I have no idea if that's what you were asking.

A straight line sounds much easier, I'd go with that.

I'd say either one. Either way, it's clearly a capital Q. Just like with lowercase a's, there are multiple ways to make them. The way you commonly see it in computer fonts isn't commonly used in handwriting, yet is as much an a as the handwritten a's.
