Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Urg...I feel sick again. On top of that, I woke up this morning to the phone. Turns out my dad went in for an ECG test and he wasn't allowed to drive. So I walked to the hospital (about a 20 min walk) and walked him home (considerably longer than 20 mins) in the rain. Somehow I'm sure that didn't help me being sick. On top of that, I went in to GameStop and it turns out that one of the employees wants more hours, so they might not hire anybody after all. This is one fun day.

Hihi... ^_^
I... Don't really have much to say.
Although I hope you get better Nab. I had to go for a walk in the rain yesterday, it was only 5 minutes but it was still enough for me.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hey.
Had nerd camp today. And... it's raining. AGAIN. Softball got cancelled. AGAIN. This is getting really tedious.
Oh, has anyone ever played Apples to Apples? We played that for a bit at camp today. One time, the adjective was "bogus". I put down "boyfriends" and won. :P I then proceeded to do the not-so-smart thing and tell my ex-boyfriend (now back to being my best friend) that after camp when he came over my house (he goes to nerd camp with me, he just wasn't playing Apples to Apples). He laughed, but then picked up the nearest semi-light object and threw it at me, and after that wrestled me to the ground with both of us laughing the entire time, and him occassionaly shouting "jerk!". I expected to get hit over the head for saying that, but not quite attacked to that extent. Yet, in a way, his reaction made me feel good, for crazy psychological reasons that I can't hope to explain, 'cos I really don't get it myself. But, meh. In my weird brain, it made me feel good. It was funny, to be sure.
We also filmed Tango playing him in ping pong ('cos he's really good at it (he usually beats me about 2/3 of the time) and Tango... not so much)). Tango kinda spazzed out, like the spazzy kid she is :P. Near the end, I had to sabatoge my friend to help Jojo. Worked a few times, but he ended up winning 21-13. Much better than the first game, which was 21-6.
And, nerd camp is fun. My RPG is coming along awesomely. Though, I have to create a new test character often 'cos I keep killing off mine by running off the edges or getting lost with no way to go back to another zone.... working on all o' those bugs.
Today, there was also an Unreal Tournament for the teens at camp. I didn't participate since I've never played, but the winner got to actually move on to some weird tournament that involved several states. Sounds interesting enough.
Uhm, I talk alot. I wonder if anyone actually reads my posts.

Cha!
I hear the remake of the first Monkey Island is being made for the 360 as well. It is looking really good. All the voices have been recorded using the cast from number 4 and you can switch between the new graphics to play the game is crappy/ classic graphics mode.

Hi! I planned to spend all day on my LittleBigPlanet level but it's unfortunately looking like that's getting cut down to several hours of the day. Oh well...
Apples to Apples is fun. I have a copy now but before that I used to play with with some friends who had it and then there was the time when I, and some friends from school, were waiting outside Target all night to get a Wii. My friend David walked in and bought Apples to Apples before the store closed and we played for quite a while. He used Hellen Keller with Lucky and won.

Heso! Oh, you've got to try playing House Rules Apples to Apples, invented by the elusive Uncle Dave. Quote the elusive Uncle Dave: "So how do you play this game? Do you like, make up a story with all the words?"
And so it began. No, Elusive Uncle Dave, that's not how you play the game (you lost!)... but it's a very interesting idea. The judge, before announcing the results, tells a story using all the words they got. Ideally, the last word in the story would be the winner, but you've also got to consider the potential for funny... For example, if I wanted King Arthur to be working on Nuclear Fission (it's happened before), I can't really save King Arthur for last. But yeah, it takes longer, but it's much more fun with house rules... also "lobbying" is fun, since it gives rise to quotes like, "Pierced Ears are worse than Africa!"

"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Hey.
Speaking of nerd camp, Realm Creator was being especially buggy today. Gave me a headache. It's fun, but it kinda gets annoying when you're testing your game and you have to make tons of characters 'cos your characters keep falling off the world/getting randomly trapped/get stuck on uncompletable quests. I've had to make waaay too many characters.
And, I was making a spawn point for my monsters and when I tested it, instead of 3 Mountain Trolls being at the spawn point there was.... a gigantic pine tree floating in the air.
WTF?! My friend was testing his and his character suddenly turned into a wearwolf. ARG! RANDOM GLITCHES THAT MAKE NO SENSE!
I'm also playing Summer Leauge Ultimate. It's for all ages (middleskool-adult). I know HOW to play Ultimate, I just don't know any strategy. :P It's once a week, and this is the first week. I did okay, but I didn't expect to do much considering I don't really play on a real team, I've only played intramurals. It was fun, though.
Nah, it's really called iD Tech. But, it's nerd camp in my mind :PCheezdude wrote:Is it really called Nerd Camp? :PSaber Knight wrote:Hey.

Hi! Bugs are a part of game making but, seeing as I've never heard of Realm Creator before, it can't be a very popular program and, if you have that much trouble getting it to do basic stuff, I wouldn't be surprised if it's still in beta, or even alpha for that matter... Maybe they're using you guys to test it. Or maybe the people who run the camp don't really care and just grabbed some random free program.
I had my own problems yesterday with LBP though. Took forever to get my dog pulled sleigh to go down the mountain without the sleigh smashing the dog, or the sleigh flipping upside, or getting stuck... And even now all I can say is that is works correctly most of the time and that, if it does fail, it doesn't get the player stuck. LBP's physics engine is annoyingly inconsistant sometimes. But, that's kinda the norm for game physics in general.

So people are mad at me for being one of only 3 to get 100% on the first chem test... And Yodi stormed out of the room after finding out I got a 95% on the engineering one. You'd think they'd know not to ask after I got second highest in the math pretest; 88%. The highest was 92%.
Yeah. STEP is kinda easy for me, but then again I took Calc III... That wasn't supposed to rhyme. But is learning fast really a crime?... It could be worse, I could be taking over the count to 10000 thread. I know that is something Silver has come to dread.
Well now that I'm stuck rhyming, I'm going to bed. Thankfully there's only chem class tomorrow, so I can rest my head. *shot*... *then sandwich'd*

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hey.
Nah, it's a real program you can buy 'n' stuff. Version 2.0.0.3 (I remember these things). I looked it up on the internet. It's a good program....it just has a few bugs that make no sense.
So, today was my last day of iD Tech. Sad to see it end. Fun stuff. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't figure out how to make potions work. Only way to heal was to die and come back with half health which happens... a lot.
In order to make a sort of closure for my game (well... kinda like the first level) I threw together a castle with one room real quick, made a Baroness Ismali and the quest was to go in the castle and kill ze monster to SAVE THE WOOOORLD!!!1!1! Fun stuff. It kept glitching on me, but when my parents came in (parents come in on the last day) to test my game, the quest worked, which made me very pleased. However, I learnd how really terrible my parents are at video games. My mom was just... extremly bad. My dad was just trying to be obnoxious. He tried to run off the world and through the houses. He made a bunch of attempts to glitch my game. Then, when he was playing, a random glitch I'd never encountered happend, and he just suddenly fell into nothingness out of nowhere. Instead of the normal white void, however, he fell into a black void. Not sure what that means, but oookaay...
It may be possible for me to get the game on the internet for you guys to play the couple quests I have. That is, if you peoples are interested. Not gonna bother looking into it if no one's gonna play.
So... I went to a Boston Red Sox game yesterday. Started off good, four runs in the first inning for the Sox, which made everyone think it was gonna be a blowout. However, later on the KC Royals came back, and they ended up winning 8-6, which was extremly depressing. Well... at least I got to see Big Papi (David Ortiz)'s 300th career home run. That was nifty. Pedroia (not sure if I spelled that right) got the other Sox home run, I believe. And no one here cares about baseball....
Visit to the tooth doctor so they can check up on my wisdom teeth today, then softball game. Oh, and I won a iD Tech mousepad. Whoo.
Did I say Realm Creator? I meant Realm Crafter. Not sure if that helps at all, though.Josiah wrote:Hi!
