It's once again time for the PV Forums Awards, the event that recognizes the best forum members in a variety of catagories. Actually, it's starting slightly late cause I was so busy, but anyway...

Awards are given out in the following catagories.

Best Overall Poster
For the person who is just all around awesome no matter what type of thread they're posting in.

Nicest Poster
For the most friendly and considerate person.

Best Role Player
For the person who makes the best posts in RPs.

Most Fun Poster
For the one who makes the most amusing posts and keeps things lively.

Best Gamer
For the one who makes the best posts in game threads.

Best New Member
For the best member who joined over the past year (July 2008 or later).

Special Achievement Award
To recognize a special contribution someone has made to the forums, such as running a particularily great RP, starting a really neat game, or whatever else you can think of.


It's time to nomimate forum members for the various catagories! You have from now until the end of Saturday (the 27th) to PM me your nominations (DON'T POST THEM HERE). Just send me a PM listing who you want to nominate for each catagory. The rules are:
1. You can nominate any forum member for any catagory.
2. You can only nominate one person per catagory.
3. You can't nominate the same person in more than one catagory, except for the Special Achievement Award, in which you can nominate someone you've already nominated.
4. For the Special Achievement Award nomination, list both the person you're nominating and what you're nominating them for (i.e. Running the Alien Zombie Battle game).

I'll review the nominations and select the top couple of people in each catagory (based on number of nominations received and a few other factors) and post the finalists on Sunday, at which point we'll vote for the winners.

Well, I might go for three years without an award with my activity on the forums for the past few months.

Since I already got an award, I supposeit would be fine if I was not nominated. The fact that I was gone for the week on a vacation in the District of Columbia lowers thechance of nomination even further.

Time to make some last minute selections.

Actually, all of you have been nominated for one category or another. Though whether or not you'll end up as finalists, I'm not sure yet. You'll find out tomorrow.

Ok, nominations are closed. Please note, since each person can only be a finalist in one category, if someone gets nominations in multiple categories, I'm the one who decides which they end up as a finalist in. The choice is based on number of nominations received in each category, other people nominated in said category and, if it's still too close to call, my own person opinion. This year was particuarily difficult. Several people got multiple nominations for two or even three different categories and it took me a while to sort it all out. Now that the finalists have been chosen, you have through July 1 (Wednesday) to PM me your votes (once again, don’t post them in this thread). Should be obvious but, just to make sure, you can’t vote for anyone who isn’t a finalist. Also, if you’re a finalist you are allowed to vote for yourself.

One more thing. When sending me your votes, I’d like all finalists to also tell me what type of non-legendary pokemon you would like in your award title and image if you win. Though, if you won a forum award last year, and want to keep the same pokemon, you don’t need to say anything. Just no legendary pokemon (legendaries are reserved for mods) and no torchic, combusken, or blaziken since they’re part of the normal forum titles.
