Hey guys. As part of the research for my master's thesis I'm conducting a survey and I need as many people as possible to take it. To answer Sira's question, the name and e-mail are just to ensure that each person only takes the survey once. I don't actually collect that information.

Interactive movies aren't all that common or popular, but they do exist (mostly on DVD, of course). There's actually one or two that are based off the Choose Your Own Adventure book series (and therefor have Choose Your Own Adventure in the title). I'd also classify Dragon's Lair as an interactive movie, and one of the earlier examples at that, though some people would argue it as a video game.

True. For the purpose of the survey, people have to make their own judgement about what I mean by interactive movie. But in my thesis I define an interactive movie as one where the person watching has to make a choice withen the movie that changes the story, which means things like Clue and DVDs with alternate endings don't count.

The only movie I think I've seen that really counts is Final Destination 3, which has a "choose their fate" mode on the dvd. But it doesn't change the story at all, so I don't know.
