Wow, congrats guys! Heh I definitely wasn't expecting to get nearly as high as I did, I think last time I participated in KotF (first year here, I got invited in for points by Celebifly) I only got about 10 points

Fifth, huh? Better than I was expecting, at least... I did my best. I have no regrets.

However I regret the frequency with which I quote NPCs from Pokemon. It's... probably sad that I think of, "I like shorts! They're compfy and easy to wear!" as words to live by.

A-anyway! Congrats to the winners - your ability to spa-- devotion to the forums is something to be admired! But next year I won't have a spring musical exactly during the time of the KotF, so watch out~
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Well, I suppose that's a better motto than "The grass goes up my nose and makes me sneeze."

To answer Astral's question... *Checks post office site.* Cause of the weight, shipping to Australia for a book would probably be around $10-13 (one US dollar being around 1.4 Austrailian dollars right now). Hmm... Certainly a lot more than I'd have to pay to send it anywhere in the US... Well, here's a couple options if you'd like to take the book route.
1. If you'd want to contribute towards the shipping fees I could mail you a book.
2. I could just e-mail a word document of the book instead of a physical copy, and maybe toss in a small piece of art or a single comic strip as well (from the Duke/Duchess prize list) as well since you wouldn't be getting the physical copy.
BTW, if you change your mind a want a different prize, none of them would be a problem, even the printed comic strip (since it's lighter and wouldn't cost so much to mail).

I...won? I...won? I actually won?!

Woo! I thought for sure I would have got third or fourth, since I couldn't get on as much because of my lack of a speedy internet, who I still have not called. Wow, that's awesome.

I'm going to check some mailing prices before I decide.

If you live anywhere in the continental US (as in, anywhere but Hawaii or Alaska) the mailing cost for the book + printed strip prize (which I assume is what you're talking about since that's the only King prize which would need mailing) isn't an issue, I pay it as part of the prize. If you're in Hawaii, Alaska, or another country, let me know where and I'll check the shiping rates and get back to you.

Okay, if I give you A$10 via paypal (which according to this currency converter I just used is $7.22 USD) Could I get the signed book please? ^^

Do you need me to throw any more money in for the shipping? I could probably say $15 ($10.83) if necissary...

(I can discuss details etc on MSN if you like)

Wait, so are the winners appearing in one of those "intermission" like strips I keep on reading, or is that only for other competitions, like the Forum Awards?

It was lonely... you promised you'd write to me, but you never did... the months passed by, and I still thought of you every day, but you never called. I never got any letters from you.

So eventually, I started to lose faith... I thought you had been killed in that terrible, terrible war. Or maybe that you had forgotten about me. It's been so long, you probably found another girl over there... I never stopped loving you, but I didn't think you cared about me anymore, so welcoming you back just would have been too painful for me... I'm sorry. I'm glad you've come back home *sniff*

Astral: $10 Austrailian via Paypal would be fine. However, I think all my remaining copies of my book are at my parents' place in Colorado right now so I won't be able to actually ship your copy till I go back there for vacation at the end of the month.

Gar: Do you really need a list? I suppose I could if people wanted, but most are just several points here and there.

Phonox: If you win the Forum Awards, RP Week, or The Week of Randomness you appear in a bonus comic. If you win King of the Forums, you get to choose one prize from the prize list for your rank (prize list is on the first page and your rank is king). One of those potential prizes happens to be starring in a short series of bonus comics, but there's other prizes you could choose instead. So take a look, give it some thought, and let me know what you'd like.

Marley: You and Phonox didn't crash the forums, my host was having server problems that day (it was unrelated, trust me). As much as you two were posting, it was nowhere near what went on the first year, and even that didn't crash anything.

Ya, that first year was crazy. I think cause of the first KoTF that the game thread got real popular.

I do think my post count went up by at least 1k that year.

Points might be low cause the point value has probably changed since that first year.

Yep, checked back and this time game posts were only .5 points where the first time was any post outside of the 2 point ones were worth a point (even game posts). I do think the game section gives about 80% of the total points gained anyway.

I am kind of curious about the bonus points, but I supposed it dosn't matter. It still dosn't do anything about the curiosity.
