I think I mentioned at some point that my parents are visiting right now. Anyway, my mom's been wanting me to show her how to make Japanese curry bread for ages so that's what we're doing today. I wonder if I should make it black... Gotta love takesumi (the bamboo charcoal used to make black Japan black), seems I put it in pretty much all my bread based cooking these days.

Heya all! I've not been able to get online till like an hour ago! I had a ROM comic ready, so theres no worries. I was trying to figure out why the modem wasn't working, unitl I noticed the cable on the phone line had been unplugged...I know, noob mistake...but my mum had been painting. It had not occured to me she would unplug the wireless so she didn't get paint on the cable running into the phone line

I just job shadowed my dentist earlier today, and it was interesting. The dentist let me watch him do some fillings, and he explained everything he was doing. One of the hygenists also handed me the business card of another dentist who works at St. Jude, so I might job shadow him sometime.

Softball tryouts today. They finally made some cuts, but only freshmen got cut today. There were 21 freshemn, and 11 got cut. They went and made a speech that was all "do NOT get discouraged! There's the freshmen team which you can try out for next week!", and then they were all "If I read your name, you're coming back to tryouts tomorrow."
It started off in alphabetical order, and they passed my name and I was all "darn....too bad. Whatever, though", but then they went back to the beginning of the alphabet and I was all "huh?" and then they had read off nine names and I was all "awwww...."
But, guess what?
The last name was ME! I passed the first round of cuts!
I was all "WHOOOOO", only silently 'cos I didn't want to look like I was bragging. It felt really good, though.
Even so, I'd rather make Freshmen if it means I get to play more. Either way.
Still, it felt pretty sweet. Pretty nice birthday present, if you ask me.

Hey, congrats Gar and Saber! Hm, I might have to join Mafia sometime. But I still have to rejoin IPA. But I still have exams in a month. But...ah what the heck, I'm just a lazy poster. Anyways, next year I will not be a science student, I've taken my licks this year and I still intend on coming out of here with a degree! So next year I switch to Arts and I'm planning on going into English (I would love to be an editor, I edit my friend's essays for them all the time and I actually like doing it!), but they make you take a huge array so who knows. I'd also be taking Japanese, so thank you Josiah for your Japanese word thread, I'm sure it'll help!

Also, today's the first day of Spring. You know what happened here? It snowed. And pretty big snow too, and lots of it. It didn't stick to the ground, but it was a weird sight to see.

"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."

Happy vernal equinox (first day of spring) everyone! Heh I love spring, it's warm, it's bright, and I can finally go outside without my gigantic coat on (seriously, I look morbidly obese in the thing but it's always nice and toasty)! 
Well, gotta go to anime club now, they're showing the last two episodes of Gurren Lagann and while I've already seen it, I want to see the looks on people's faces when they see that last fight...so epic...

I know. Didn't make JV? Why's she so pumped about that? Well, it's 'cos if I made JV, I prolly wouldn't get to play much. Plus, it means I don't have tryouts tomorrow, so I can go to my hockey game.
One freshman (there may be one other, actually, I'm being led to believe otherwise) made Varsity. First time in like three or four years. She's a catcher. I knew she was good, but I didn't think she was quite that good. I expected her to make JV. With her gone, though, hopefully I'll get to play catcher more. :
Two freshmen made JV. One didn't surprise me too much, but the other made me go "huh? wut up with that?". Wutever.
