Watchmen is great, but the movie goes a lot better if you've read the comic, so if you haven't done that I strongly recommend that. Also, I watched Memento with my friend last night, really amazing movie! It's about a guy with short term memory loss and it shows the story in 5 to 10 min chunks, slowly going backwards explaining the story more. It was definitely well done. Also, still sick + school = I might have to miss a few classes this week if this keeps up. Darn, and I was trying to do the "Never missed a class for a whole year!" thing, too.

Hi! When I said spring break, I meant my mid semester spring break. My between semester break isn't till early May.

My first Monday in forever that doesn't include swimming...still not missing it, and never will. I will miss this break from it when it starts up after Easter, though

Hey.

Blarg. First day of softbally tryouts....I'm tired. Right off the bat we had to run 5 laps around the fieldhouse. I'm not sure how long each lap was, but it felt like Hell. I suck at running. I wasn't in absolute last (I was in the bottom 5 or so), so at least that's something. We then had to do wall-sits, "planks", "duck walks", push ups, and sprints. Finally, we got to the softball bit. Fielded some grounders, then I got to go off and catch for a pitcher (which meant I got to get out of fielding more grounders :D). Oh, and then they threw in another two laps, and some more sprints. Blaaaarg.

Good news, though. It looks like tough competition, but at the same time there are a few girls that I'm certain I'm better than (not to sound cocky). I still don't think I'll make JV, though. 21 freshmen are trying out. At least, there were 21 freshmen here today...I think. Man, if I have to go through this next week again for freshmen tryouts....blllaaaarrg.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I absolutely love swimming. I just don't like competitive swimming. That, and the practices were five days a week, two hours long. Not trying to sound like I'm complaining or anything (some of you probably have it off worse, like Saber up there ^) but I just don't like the sport. I only swim it to keep fit during the off-season.

Oh geez, that sounds brutal (Saber and Sira). When I was doing my lifeguarding course I had 4 hour lessons each week, I thought that was great but then again it wasn't competitive. Best aquatic game there is, get a 20 lb block, toss it in the deep end, dive down and bring it up. For nightmare mode, do a lap or two with it on your shoulder. It's not super tough but it's really fun!

Sira, off season for what sport?

Arg. Me arm hurts. It's not sore or anything (though my throwing arm will probably be sore tormorrow), but I had my physical today (you need to have had a physical within the past 13 months to try out. Got mine today :D) and I had a shot. Now me arm hurty. It's me catching arm, though.

Blaaarg. I hopes we dosen't have to do more wall sits tomorrow. Those make my legs yell at me. What they basically are is you stand with your back against the wall, and then you sit down on air so that your lower leg is perpendicular to the ground and your upper leg is parallel to the ground. Hold that fer a minute. Makes me legs very mad.

Well, I have an obnoxious conflict tomorrow. All Bands Night (which I am in for marching band and concert band) is at the same time as softball tryouts tomorrow. Me an' other marching band girls talked to her 'bout it, but I'll feel really bad missing tryouts. Gonna try and go to parts of it. With my luck, I'll be going there during the wall sits and planks. >.<

Drunk Duck....that was a long time ago....been two years since I had started there, maybe? Sprite comic-ed there for a good few months. Think I stopped some time around the end of summer. Me leg was broken at the time, and the site had just gone through a HUGE rennovation, and I hated the new site. Made compy go all slow. Been a while.

Yeah...I remember I started a couple days before my twelfth birthday. Or, at least I think so. Geeze, that would make it three years, wouldn't it? Woah.

I remember I randomly went to check up on ze comic a few days ago. Someone was all "are you dead?" or something like that. That comment was only made under a year ago, though, or something, so I was all "woah, someone cared about me after like two years of being gone?" I recognized the dude, too. Guess he didn't quit.

I was thinking of going on and being all "heyz, I'm not dead", and maybe start comicing again, but then I remembered how bad for my sanity it turned out last time. I gave myself an obnoxious work schedule. I had three comics. One updated daily, and the others every other day, with each comic alternating days. I felt pressured to make these comics, and finally I just said "screw it" 'cos it wasn't fun anymorez.

Well, there I go rambling. I really need to get some sleep...

Hey, do any of you know any tips on whot sushi to eat? You see, my friend might just invite me for sushi and I don't want to look like a total fool. I know that sushi is basicly raw or steamed fish wrapped in sea weed, but are there any other types?
