Well, the main post for this is to talk about games you've seen on TV, read in a game mag, or heard from a friend that havn't come out yet. It might help get some of these game some more requantion (sp?).

Like today. I saw the new LOTR: The Third Age game comming out for all the major sytems (including the GBA). That game looks very cool. It's like having the 3 others into one game but a diffrent game play from what I saw on TV. Anyone else seen it advertised?

I personaly am interseted in the next final fantasy, 12

I saw a trailel for it free on a DVD with Star Ocean, is it just me or is it the world in FF Tactics Advanced, with Judges and everthing!

Yes. Final Fantasy 12 is going to feature the races from Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. Also, just so you know, it's Viera, not Bunny Girl.

But its also the world name, Ivlance or something, its exactly the same, and again with the judges....

I don't know about any of that. The FFTA world was called Ivalice, named after one of the Kingdoms in the original FFT.

To quote the preview

Etc

Also, in the preview, you see a boss looking Judge and they go "More Exicutinoar that judge..."

and then theres this...

If thats not a judge I dont know what is!

Uh... I'm... not a Final Fantasy fan... the only game anything like that that I'm aware is coming out in the future is Kingdom Hearts 2... which my brother will be getting probably the day it comes out (He's obsessed. It's scary :blink: )

FFXII is in the same Ivalice as FFTA, they did say that at some point. Although XII takes place in different time period so I wouldn't expect any cross overs or anything. Seems kinda weird, reusing a world, but it has Viera, which is cool, and it looks really great so far.

For LOTR Third Age, here's what I've read. Major rip off of FFX's battle system (at least they chose the best) but the game is 95% fighting. No towns, no shopping, nearly no story. That made me lose some interest.

A few other things I'm looking forward to (not a complete list)...
Metal Gear Solid 3 (just a few more days!!!)
Growlanzer Generations (hope it isn't delayed again)
Kingdom Hearts 2
Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories
Xenosaga 2
Viewtiful Joe 2
(I could go on and on...)

FF12 looks cool - no random battles at all in it.

its going to be like FF11 - you see the monster and then you think - Should i go up to it and beat the s- out of it or should i run in the opposite direction.

I heard something about FF7 being re-released and a sequel movie coming with it.

They haven't said anything about rereleasing FFVII but they are making the CG movie FFVII Advent Children, the action game staring Vincent FFVII Dirge of the Cerberus, the Japanese cell phone game FFVII Before Crisis, and they also mentioned a FFVII spin off in progress for the PSP but didn't say what it's going to be about.

AS much as I love final fanatsy making all these spin offs is crazy

The whole point of each new game was to keep everything fresh, yet nostaligic at the same time, I dont know if messing with the formula is such a good idea, the whole thing is screaming 'cash in'. And as much as I loved FFX-2 I coulnt not help cringe at some points when it was clear it was a charlies angel type games fan grabber
possibly a good idea that will go wrong....
