Well, so far I've made one sprite.
The tunic looked terrible black, and I had some shades of green readily abailable, so I made it green, but I forgot that it makes her look like Link >.<. Prolly gonna change the colors for the shading on her cloak-ish-thing from greys to blues. I think that looks better. The shading also kinda sucks, 'cos I did it really quick.
Ah well. Too lazy now. I'll do ze other poses later....bah, I shoulda just done a recolor but nooo...I has to customize it myself...

Recolours with minor editing can be effective.Eg: putting that litle smiley mouth on it etc.
This is a regular Cyndaquil with the gold nicked from an Alakazam and the blue from the tail of the sample picure in the request.
I know it was a request for Saber to do, but It just sounded fun. Sorry. ^^
