Oi.
I was the only one in my school to pass this UM Math Competition test, and today I took the second one. To start it off, you get 2 hours to do 5 questions. That's not disconcerting at all.
So does anyone have an easy way to prove that a number, consisting of 2008 ones, 2009 twos and a five in that order as it's 4018 digits, is a perfect square? And getting the square root isn't good enough, you have to prove that it squared is the other number... Whatever that means.
Or prove that there is a power of ten has exactly 2008 digits in base two? or alternatively base five?
No calculators! Go!
Oh, and the other one is figuring out a 2 player numbers game. It was longer and more annoying.

Hi! The paper turned out ok, or at least I think so. Just have to hope that it had enough statistics in it to keep my teacher happy. Now I don't have to write any more big papers until...tomorrow. Then there's another one next week. And that's only the papers, there's other homework and things too. Fortunately, by this time next week things should be starting to calm down.

I have a project in Biology, and its the first in a while that I haven't been nervous about. We have to create a chimera human and give it abilities it would need to survive in a hostile future. To me it's just an excuse to draw stuff And it probably is.

Sure I get breaks, but master's is more work than undergrad was plus finals are coming up which, for me anyway, means lots of big papers and other projects that need to be done. Doesn't help that I'm working on a game project and some other stuff either.

Gulkyhulk... that is AWESOME! "bujh yb" see? I try to face type and I get something copletely unpronounceable! Yours is a word that's easy to say and and even has a sesne of onomatopoeia.. gulkyhulk.. sounds almost like someone hitting their face on a keyboard when I say it... YOU SIR ARE LUCKY!
