Hey.
Hockey practice was....interesting.
Y'know how a hockey rink is surrounded by little sections of glass? Well, the coach's son (who was forced to tag along to practice, I presume. He didn't look like he wanted to be there) shot a puck at the boards just as you normally would, but the glass shattered! First time I'd seen that happen in person, and I've been playing hockey since 4th grade.
And, my friend was theaching a new girl on our team how to hop the boards. So, my friend jumped up, I heard a scream and turned to see she had fallen backwards! All you could see were her gloves and her skates, cuz she managed to hold on for a bit. It was hilarious!
AND, before practice began, when we were chilling in the locker room, my other friend was in a really spaztic mood and took another girl on our team's stick and began riding it like a broom. But the stick BROKE! We were all on the floor laughing, even the girl who's stick broke. The bottom didn't snap off or anything, but there is now a huge crack near the bottom. A couple slapshots would probably take it off.
But, sadly, I got hit with a puck on where your leg meets the rest of your body (I stink at anatomy, or whatever). That happens to be the one little spot with no padding. It kinda stings right now, but I'll live.
May the Triforce be with you.

I still play Mario Kart 64 with my sis all the time! Well, it helps that that's the only game she's actually willing to play
Also, my essay's done in the nick of time! The writing centre here really knows how to help out Now all I have to worry about are my exams, from Dec 3-10!
Mario Kart Wii is excellent! Wi-Fi gives it endless replay value.
I would have preferred just Double Dash with online play.. instead they dump the two-character karts and character-specific powers, and instead give us even more stupidly unbalancing power-ups, because heaven help us if someone who's been playing Mario Kart for a decade beats a six-year old! And the characters really scrape the bottom of the barrel. (Baby Peach? WTF?) No thanks, I'll stick with Double Dash, Mario Kart 64 and Mario Kart DS because they are all much better.
Mario Kart DS makes me swear... *is ashamed* >.< haha
Hi! Thanks to Silver, the whole Chicago Manual thing seems to be under control. On a related footnote, I hate writing styles.
I finished my lit review yesterday, and I'm sure glad it's over with. Now only three more major research papers to go this semester... On the bright side, I can hold off on the others until after Thanksgiving so I can focus on the other stuff I have to do.
Red rings? Oooh, that sucks. My brother got that once, but luckily his was ensured and he got it fixed at Best Buy. Considering today's circumstances, I'm glad he doesn't have the coverage with Circuit City.
Tomorrow is my school's pep-rally and homecoming. Each grade decorates a hallway and bleacher area in the gym, in relation to their theme, and the best get prizes. My grade's colors are green and yellow, so our theme this year is Wizard of Oz. I wanted to help decorate, but I have swim practice.
Hey.
Just played an epic game of ping pong with my friend. It was AWESOME.
Oh, and our school has a pep rally next week. Not that I really care...
May the Triforce be with you.

sometimes I hate living in kudzu country. It's usually when it's snowing somewhere else and it rarely snows here. I welcome snowstorms when other people hate them.

HOW DO YOU LIVE?!?
I looooove snow! Winter is my favorite season! Man, I can just run around in the snow and fall over and be extremly happy. I swear, my best ideas come when I'm just outside in the snow. I've written TONS of poems on winter (very few of which are good, and I lost most of them).
I know I'm probably getting too old for it, but I still love going in the backyard and sledding down the hill. Last year we brought our ski poles and had an epic war (skipoles were swords, sleds were shields). We'd fight, and the loser was sent tumbling down the hill. This lead to sneak attacks, and awesome forts.
