Here's my sprites.
First up, my recolor. I decided to do a purple Jolteon. And, cause of the purple, I figured I might as well run with it and go for a poison pokémon type color scheme. And my Charmander mix. I figured I'd do it IPA style by mixing it with the first form of another three stage pokémon, Pichu.

Well, here's mine.
It's a Sneasel-Vulpix mix, just to clarify. Have one sprite at normal size, and the other is doubled.
Made sure to do another Pokemon with two evolutions, all IPA like.
Hrm…I had really liked it at first, but when I went back to it to do some finishing touches, I didn’t like it anymore. Found too many flaws. Tried my best to fix them, but I still don’t know. *shrug* I’m going with this, all the same. Just have to hope for the best.
Geh…on the ear thing, when I’ve looked at the Sneasel sprite, I’ve always thought the red feather thing was behind Sneasel’s ear, and that it just had a tattered ear but now that I look at it it kinda looks like it’s actually protruding from Sneasel’s head. Gah. I’ll just go with this.
Hey, can all of our entries be made into IPA? I’d totally be willing to make the next evolution. Then again…never yet tried DP sprites…er…yeah…
I’ll just stick with this for now.

What's with this posting 2x size versions of the sprites, anyway? It doesn't help me at all. You work with sprites in 6x or 8x magnification, not 2x. So I have to take the 2x version, paste it into paint, reduce the size by half, then zoom in to 6x or 8x. It would be easier if I could just paste it into paint and zoom in...
Anyway. I'll hold off on the judging until Cheesey's finished his entry, though I... think I've already decided on a winner and I'm not expecting Cheesey's entry to change that...
But coincedentally, the next challenge is to create an IPA, fully and completey - all evolutions, sprites, abilities, attacks, TMs, everything - and the winner's IPA will be released officially. ONLY the winner's, though. You're welcome to re-use these guys and start working on their complete information... but there aren't any limits on what you can use for that round, so you're also welcome to try something else.

"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."

Sorry, I figured a 2x version would be easier to see and all. You know though, you just paste it into paint at 2x and then zoom to 4x, which would give you the equivalent of normal size increased to 8x.

First rule of working with sprites: NEVER save them as jpg files.
For a quick rundown of the different standard graphic types and how they work with sprites...
jpg: will fuzz up the colors and blur the lines a bit (jpg is a great photo format, but horrible for sprites)
bmp: works fine but creates extremely large file sizes
gif: works well for sprites and has small file sizes but only supports a limited number of colors, other colors will be changed into a different color
png: full color support, small file size, the best format for sprites by far

Saving a jpg as a png won't fix the problem cause it was already screwed up when you saved it as a jpg the first time. You need to save a clean version of it as a png.

Paint doesn't have it's own file type. So unless you saved it as a gif, png, or bmp BEFORE you saved it as a jpg, there isn't anything you can do, short of remaking the whole thing.
