"Well," replied Marcus, "I am running low on essence of mushroom. With a name like Shroom Island, there's bound to be mushrooms over there. Unless, of course, the name's just to trick people running low on mushrooms so bandits can rob the poor fools who fall for it. But what are the odds of that happening?"

"Our goal's the Grand Line, isn't it? So go to whichever one's closer! I'm no map expert, but I think that means we wanna go up." Silver suggested, attempting to finger paint a jolly roger on their flag despite having just said he couldn't paint it. He stopped painting momentarily to point upwards - though what he meant was north - and in the process splashed white paint all over the room.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

"Remind me to teach you about directions sometime." Talene gave him a look. "I guess we'll go to Shroom Island then. If everyone's ready, let's set sail."

And so, after months and months of sailing... or maybe just a day or two, you never can tell... the crew arrived on Shroom Island. The place was just one huge, grassy hill - perfectly round, like the top of a mushroom - with a small town planted at the top.

Those deemed necessary for the mission - and Silver, because he didn't want to stay behind again - ventured into the town, which left a few people to stay with the ship, just in case.

Those that did head for the town imediately noticed something odd about the place, which Silver was the first to comment on: "It's really quiet around here, huh?" ...Not realizing, of course, that this was because the town had been completely overtaken and the townsfolk were being tormented by a giant swarm of... mimes.

((Yay, an update!))

"You've got that right." Talene looked around. "And what's with all the black and white? Not really most exciting color scheme in the world. So captain, what exactly are we going to, oof!" Talene stopped short as he/she walked right into what seemed to be an invisible wall. "What the heck is up with this?"

"What are we going to do, you ask...?" Silver grinned widely, as if he had come up with some brilliant plan... then proceeded to slam face-first into the invisible wall repeatedly. "This is great! It's like there's a wall here, but there really isn't!"

Marcus, who was getting used to Silver eccentricies, decided to follow the old saying; when in an ancient city, don't chase after stray cats, or something like that. So, by feeling around and looking uncannily like a mime in a glass box, he tried to find his way around the invisible wall. Unfortunately, he found that they acctually were in a glass box. "Uh, Captain, I should probably tell you that... Nah. I don't wan to ruin his fun."

Talene was trying much the same tactic as Marcus and, like him, also realized that they were trapped. "Uh oh... Captain?" he/she looked over at Silver, who was happily slamming his face against the invisible wall, and groaned. "Hey squirrel boy! I'm gonna give you a boost, see if you can jump over the top of this thing."

Meanwhile, Darryl was walking around the ship being bored. "Stupid captain leaving me on stupid guard duty with the stupid... Who the hell are you?" Darryl asked the mime that he had suddenly encountered on the deck. In response to Darryl's question, the mime remained silent and pretended to be behind an invisible wall, ticking Darryl off. "Go back to the circus, ya bloody freak-" Darryl was interrupted as he walked straight into an invisible wall. Cursing, he tried to find a way around the wall to no avail. "So that's how it goes, eh? Well, I'll bet that the reason you wear all of that make-up is 'cuz you're so ugly that when you go to the beach the tide doesn't come in!" Emotionally scarred, the mime ran away crying. "Guess I showed him..." Darryl murmured.

I don't mean to interrupt, but I couldn't find an OOC thread for this. Could I join this RP? If yes, I'll edit this with my character information.

((No OOC thread?
Post it there. But yes, you're welcome to join.))

"Oh! That sounds like fun! I'll try jumping over the pretend wall!" As Silver said this, he turned to his squirrel form and climbed to Talene's head. From there, it was easy to jump clear over the invisible walls. "Ok, now I'll try to get you guys out of that... hey, what's over there?" Silver's train of thought was interrupted by something shiny on a nearby building. So of course, the first course of action was to run over to it. Unfortunately, he tripped over some invisible object in his path and was sent flying.

A malicious looking mime appeared from around a corner and began cackling madly... and silently. Which was really weird.

"And I'm working for that guy?" Talene watched Silver run off, only to be approached by an evil looking mime. "Oh you have got to be kidding... I guess I'd better go help." he/she formed a fan of razor sharp playing cards and sliced them across the wall. Unfortunately the wall didn't appear to be damaged by the attack. Actually, being invisible and all, it didn't appear to be anything. "Ok then," the cards disapeared, "new plan. Hey Marcus, look down there!"

As Marcus bent to look at the spot on the ground Talene had pointed at, he/she jumped on his back and used the extra height to vault over the invisible wall.

"Thanks for the lift! I'll come back and free you sometime, if I don't forget!" Talene called back as he/she ran towards Silver and the mime.

Sira approached the village from the forest. She had found a decent amount of edible mushrooms...well, they looked like they were edible. She couldn't tell. If only the townspeople hadn't been so stingy with their money. The berris she'd made from playing weren't enough for food.
Lost in thought, she didn't notice the large group of mimes until she was fairly close to the houses.
"What the heck? They weren't here before. What, what's going on?"

"HEY! COME BACK HERE!" Marcus yelled indignantly and pounding the wall. "Darnit, why'd it have to do that?" he asked himself. "Ah well, at least I have my highly experimental and unbelievably volitle super jump pills," he said, and took them out of his pocket. "Hey, where'd it go?" Marcus was franticly searching his pockets(read: bringing them up to his eyes and looking around), but all he found was a note saying 'Confiscated for potential godmodding.' "Whoever does the laundry better not have thrown those pills or we'll have, uh, have... Darnit, what's the fish equivilant of jumping?"

"Here, I'll help you up guy." Marley said as he lifted up Marcus and put him over the wall. "Don't worry about me, I'll stay here and eat the grass. Maybe go talk to that mime."

It was lonely... you promised you'd write to me, but you never did... the months passed by, and I still thought of you every day, but you never called. I never got any letters from you.

So eventually, I started to lose faith... I thought you had been killed in that terrible, terrible war. Or maybe that you had forgotten about me. It's been so long, you probably found another girl over there... I never stopped loving you, but I didn't think you cared about me anymore, so welcoming you back just would have been too painful for me... I'm sorry. I'm glad you've come back home *sniff*
