Names don't all mean something, at least not anymore. Most names meant something originally (in all cultures) but said meanings are often lost or forgotten over time and the name becomes just a name.

Going off my last post, I should also point out that a lot of anime/manga/game names in Japan are plays on words. So, while her name itself might not mean anything, it might sound similiar to be written similarily to something that does.

-ban: a suffix meaning number (ie. ichiban: number one (x is number one!))

-tachi: a suffix that makes something plural (ie. watashi-tachi and bokutachi for we; not used very often outside of those two words since most Japanese nouns are both singular and plural in their normal form)
