ROM 3: Shadows of Souls

((Yeah pokchu, you can commed the Shadows of Souls if you want but leave the real Jeff alone. And no reviving Moen.))

"Silver?"

"Josiah, David, Virgo! Man am I glad to see you!"

"What happened?"

"An evil clone of Jeff attacked Shauni and then they teleported away."

"Damn it. We never get a break..." *Josiah sighed heavily.* "Well, we have no idea where we are or where they went so, as I much as I hate to say it, there really isn't much we can do right now. Let's fill each other in on what's happened."

*One quick explanation later...*

"So, these Shadows of Souls look like a pretty big problem."

"Well, we can't do much until we know where we are. Let's get back to exploring this village. And this time let's all stick together. We don't need anyone else to disapear."

"Gallo?"
"We are here"
"Where?"
"My masters den"
Shauni opened her eyes, she was in a dimly light room, sort of dungeon like, a thin bean of light entered the room from a small window on the door, the room smelt like something rotting
"This place is .....horrible...where are we..."
"The dungeon"
"Why...why here, have you tricked me?"
"No, it is here where I dwell"
"A dungeon?"
"Yes, my lord holds us here, makes us work for him, he treats us very badly"
"What are you to him?"
"We are his first"
"First what?"
"We are the shadows of Souls, my Lord has found a way to clone the darkness in any heart"
"Jeff's heart...that's why even your soul reminds me of him...."
"A soul....you say I have a soul...I am nothing, dead inside, only Jeff's pain I feel, his death is all I feel, like you do""......"
Gallo turned away from her
"Its why you are not dead yet, my Lord wishes me to mess with your mind, and kill you after a long time of suffering"
"Why?"
"The more you suffer and feel sadness, the more strength your Shadow gets, the weaker you are in mind, the stronger Unisha gets in body, it is the way my lord made us"
"Why are you telling me this?"
"He thinks he can use me to make you suffer more, but...the more I see you suffer, the more I suffer....as Jeff is dead, I dont draw on his strength any longer as he sees you suffer, I only feel his pain....it is like I am on fire...not even strength can quell it, I would defy my master by bringing you here, that way, you do not suffer, Unisha my not get stronger, but I will not get weaker"
"What happens if you get...to weak"
"I will die, that is why, you cant let them defect me shauni, dont let them hurt all you have left of Jeff, me"
Shauni looked at Gallo, he held the expression that Jeff held as he died, so full of pain and sorrow, even though shauni new better, her heart felt for him
"I wont let anyone hurt you"
She walked over to him and hugged
Gallo gave an evil grin that shauni did not see as they embraced
"Just as to plan my lord" he thought to himself

"Excellent, she bought it", The mysterious ruler of the dark realm said, peering through Gallo's security camera.

"Let's hope she doesn't see through it".

"Yes, let's toy with David now. All alone, vulnerable. Release his shadow of soul".

"There's got to be people around here somewhere..."

"We've been through the entire village. This place is deserted."

"Either that or everyone's hiding from us. We haven't looked inside any of the houses."

"Might as well check." *Josiah approached what should be Yomico's house and tried the door.* "Locked. Oh well." *He stepped back and knocked the door in with a single kick.*

"If someone sues us for that its your fault."

"Yomico! Are you here?"

"Over there!" *David pointed to a nearby door.* "I can hear something on the other side."

The group ran over to the direction the sound was coming from, it was Shaunis house in Oneet, Josiah gave it a swift kick and the door was noked of it hinges
"Wow, I never realisedI was that strong"
David came over and viewed the door
"Your not, look, this door is roted so much a push would have mad it fall over"
"............ <_< " Josiah gave a look at David
He replyed the look with his own :huh:
Virgo pushed pass them both
"Enough posturing, lets go in"
Josiah lead the way and they enterd the dark room
Insted of being greated by all the computers and hubs ehich had lined Shauni's hut in Orca, they were greated but a single figure sitting in an empty space, in the center of the hut
"...hello...are you ok?"
The firgure looked up, she looked just like Shauni
"Shauni!"
Virgo ran over to her and huged her, the others aproched
"Yes...it is me...shauni" :suspicious:
The others approched slowly
"Well...it looks like shauni..."
'Shauni' noded and stood up
"Yes, it is me"
This 'shauni' was actualy Unisha, sent by the dark ruller to trick them...

((no one will find out she is a shadow of Souls till later))

"We were worried about you, what happened? Silver said you you were kidnapped."

"After I was teleported I found myself here. I don't know why."

"Fudge crackers, that was lucky. That Jeff clone must have screwed up or something."

"I'm glad we're back together." *David glanced around nervously.* "But this town seems completely empty. I don't think we should stay here any longer."

"I agree. Let's head through the forest. THere's probably a copy of Vahallo out there. Hopefully there we'll find some people." *The others agreed and they headed into the forest. But as they walked, Josiah kept a close eye on Shauni. Something was strange about her, the way she talked and what she said... Not to mention that things just seemed too easy. First she was kidnapped and then she was suddenly ok? After what had happened to Jeff in the Cave of Reflections he didn't want to take any chances. He'd had to keep a close eye on her."

Unisha followed closly behind the others, her line of sight straght at the ground, asis transfixed on it
Josiah was even more uncetled by her actions, he stood slightly backwards of her, and watched her every movemnet, he thought shec could not see him, but she knew he was watching
"Dont you know is rude to stair"
she tured to looked at Josiah who had tured white
"but how did you..?"
Everyone else stoped walking
"Whats the matter"
Unisha tured to Daivd
"Josiah is staring at me, whats wrong Josiah? can you trust me?"
Josiah tured away from her "I dont actualy, youve been acting weird since Onett, and concidering whats been happening to us, you can understand why I dont beleve you are shauni"
Unisha smiled menisingly, her face looked freakish with it
"Never mind eah, I guess you cant be sure eather why"
Everyone now looked at her
"sh...shauni?"
she gaved at the floor again "Sort of"
The bottum of her feet began to turn to black mist
"I am Unisha, the shadow of shaunis heart, and I am the first shadow of souls you will engage in combat, but dont think you can easly win, I have the suffering that shauni has endured for my strengh, and beleve me...that is much power"
Josiah steped forward and went topull the zodiac sword from its sleath
"O, did you forget...you dont have that tooth pick you call a sword anymore"
"ahhh, fine, I will kill you with my bare hands!!"
Josiah dived at inisha, but a feild of light suddenly sprong forth from her and delected him back
"Well, that was boring, let use begin"

"Ha, let us see how full of yourself you are when

Suddenly Unisha stopped mind sentecne
"Later we will battle, something has come up that need smy attention, later"
Unisha disapered into the mist that had not even disated

Before the others could even coment she had gone

"ok....what was that?"

Meawhile Gallo was talking to Shauni, spining his webs of lies when a cloud of dark mist appred
"Ah, Unisha"
"what???"
"So, you got Shaunicoco I see, child, it is time"
"ti..time for what?"
"To murge with me"
"w...what???"
Unisha tranformed back into mist and quickly engoulfed shauni in them
"noo....noooo!"
After a mintue, the mist disapated and a figurefell back to the ground

'Shauni' stood up
Gallo walked over to her
"so, who stands before me, Shauni or Unisha"
"Neather"
The figure struck Jeff around the neck
"Ahh, so its Unicoco, what a pleasure"
Unicoco smiled and thew Gallo away
"Yes, it is I, Unicoco, the result of a shadow of Soul and a hero merging coding, I am more poweful than even your lord"
Gallo stood up "You mean OUR lord, He made it possible to merge with there coding, he is the one that would give you this power"
she tured to him "No, I MEAN YOUR lord, I will not serve those weaker than me, let your lord know, a Hearts Form is farm more powerful that a shadow of souls, I will return, in due time"

Unicoco disapered threw the door in light, Gallo looked on as the hybrid flew away
"My lord wont like this....."

((FYI, Unicoco is the merged data of Shauni and Unisha, the lord made the clones able to do that, so if you wont that to happnen to you, be my guest, secondly, in a merger, it is the more powerful mind that wins in the merge, making them good or evil, in this case, shauni lost....also, when they merge they form a 'hearts Form', which can take on any form you chose, and lastly, the result of a merge is uncertina, the lord expceted unicoco to obay him, but acspects of shauni won threw, meaning Unicoco wont lisen to the lord. The lord had no idea that Unicoco would not listen to hime, that hole thing with gallo was so Unisha would catch her of guard, and it worked, alos, Shadows of Souls are telepathic, thats why unisha went of, gallo told her shauni was ready))

"Who's there?"

"Don't you know? It's me...or you. It's Jeff, the one whose identity you've stolen."

"Impossible...you're dead...you can't be here.

"Oh can't I? Why not? This IS the Dark World after all. This is where restless souls go. But back to the matter at hand...reclaiming my identity. Your body looks quite suitable...think I could borrow it?"

*cuts away*

"What do you...ARRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!"

*fades out*

((oooooo, me likies that, I wonder what your hearts form will be))

Unicoco contuied to flie into the blackness of the dark world, to options lay ahead of her, Destry the Heros or Destry the lord

She contemplated her answer
"I wish to do neather...."
She landed in an area of the dark world that had taken on the from of the Dead wood, the heros would be here soon....

She sat down and looked up at the sky and began to convers with herself
"So, what am I now...I know I am powerful...but...which am I, I dont feel evil...but I dont feel good eather...I guess...I could be nutral"

She heared talking in the distance, the heros had made it to the area of the Dead Wood, started she hid and watched them
"A perfect test....what I feel now will determin...who more I am...."
The group walked past her and Unicoco was not spotted, she watched them walk past, no feeling at all entered her body
"My heart did no even race....I felt...nothing..."

"Hahaha. So Shuani has merged with Unisha, and now formed Unicoco. And she wants me destroyed...that's sad. If I find that poor thing come after me, I will destroy it. I should have known Unisha wouldn't be loyal. Well, she'll have to answer to 'me' if she decides. For now, I'll let her destroy her friends".

"Quite evil".

"That's the idea Daku. Soon, they will all be dead. Heheh".

"Indeed master Hellion."

"Heh. I love ruling an entire world. So...cool.MWHAHAHAHAHA!"

((Just for the record, with my sword missing I'd use my monsters, not my hands. Heck, I usually used my monsters while I had the sword. Oh, quick rule, no merging other people's characters, only your own.))

"I can't believe she just ran off like that. These Shadows of Souls are total wimps. They never stay and fight."

"Don't worry. We'll get them eventually." *Virgo tried to consoul him.*

"Quiet." *David's voice caught them all by surprise.* "Something's out there."

"Well if it wants to fight I hope it shows itself. I feel like blowing off some steam." *As if in answer six creatures stepped out of the shadows.*

"Holy fudgecrackers! I'd recognize those six anywhere!"

"The mutation monsters..." *David only needed one look. It was the six mutation monsters that had vanished after their battle with the electric chosen so long ago.*

*The monsters growled menacingly and advanded.* "Well it's about time! Virgo, power us up with Strength of Heart. Ice Queen Freezedown! Aquatica Acid Rain! Let's do this!!!"

"Well, at least he seems happy..."

Unicoco watched th mutaion monsters emerge
"So....they are in danger..."
As if an automatic responce she steped out from hidding and stood behind the heros, they didnt notice her, as she was as silent as the dead
"Are you friend or fo!" david yelled at the monsters
Hellfire (the phoniex mutation card) began to power up for its splinter attack
"I guess that answers my question"
The splinter attck quickly followed his remorak, but missed all of the gamers, insted hit Unicoco who stood behind them, she went flying backwords and smacked down on the ground about a meter away
"What was that!"
They all tured around to see the freaky fairy figure that was Unicoco pulling herself up of the sound
"ahhh...so...the lord sent you did he..not for them..but for me?" she yelled at the monsters
"Who the hell are you??" yelled Josiah in an angry rage "Another demon!"
Unicoco stood up "I...I am..."
She was stoped mid introduction as another Mutation attack, this time from Curroption, noked her down
"Ahh, thats stings..."
She stood up again
"se...she took to mutation attacks....."
all the gamers backed of from her, normaly it only took one mutation attack to know now a normal monsters, she was more powerful that she looked
Unicoco brushed herself of and glared at the mutation cards
"Thats enough"
She flew into the air and began to create a dark ball of energy above her head. When it grew to an enourmus size she launched it at the mutation card hellfire
"Snake Bite!"
The ball struck the hellfire mosnter and it was instenly vaperised
"WTF??"
The other mutation cards hunge back after this attakc
"I dont have time for weaklings....I need a strong apponent...."
Then, without a second thought for the gamers, she flew away in the darkness, leaving them to face the other 5 cards...alone
"O great....."
"Who the hell was that?"
"I dont know...but it seems she to has a grudge against this 'lord', lets deal with the mess she felt and go after her, we might get some answers.."
"Agreed"
"u guys, little help"
They tured to see silver backing away from the mutation leo card
"O right, the mutaion cards!"
they began there battle again

Meanwhile

Unicoco had landed about four miles away, in the tops of the trees
"So 'my lord', you send Shadow mutation cards after me, and the heros as well, trying to get two birds with one stone...no matter, I will come to you, after I have destryed everthing first...the shadow of souls...the gamers...everything you can throw at me, so help me I will cut them down..until I feel something in this hollo chest of mine...so I am not dead inside....."

"there is nothing in this world...nothing to fight for, nothing to cry for, nothing to die for. No heart beats in this hollow chest of mine, stone cold breath escapes my lungs...there is no life for one who is dead inside..."

"i am Unicoco, the hollow Heart Form one"

*stops suddenly* "Ngh... what's happening to me? Argh.... my body...." *drops to his knees, sweating profusely* "What the hell is this? *Jeff's body begins to transform.* "What is this... is this fur? What's going on?!?!?!" *The transformation continues, as he sprouts ears and a tail.* "This is too weird... this must be...the Heart Form Shauni was talking about. So this is it huh? Hmm.... I think my creator can wait. I have to find Shauni." *runs off*

"Whoa!" *Josiah jumped aside, narrowly avoiding Mutation Leo's attack.* "You're going down for that! Ice Queen Deep Freeze!" *Leo was frozen solid but broke free a second later. He roared angrily and smashed Ice Queen with one of his monsters claws, KOing her.* "Damn! Aquatica keep him busy, use Tsunami Force! Virgo, get behind him use Mecha Overdrive!"

"Right!"

*Leo swatted agrily at Aquatica, trying to spot her through the continues waves of water crashing into him. Meanwhile, Virgo got into posistion.*

"Mecha Overdrive!" *The legendary attack, hit Leo full in the back and he exploded in a flash of light.*

"Yes! Nice one!"

"Uh, Josiah! A little help?"

*Josiah turned to see the remaining four mutations ganging up on Silver and David. He quickly reached for another card.* "Sorry! Virgo, Aquatica, Mogalmel, go get them!"
