The world of pokemon...We all know how vast and beautiful it is. What we don't know is the greater mysteries that surround it. In the far away lands of Johto and Sinnoh, mysterious happenings have started to occur. Pokemon disappearing, people succumbing to a strange illness causing them to fall into a deep sleep. Rather than sit idly by. The Pokemon league entrusts a handfull of their Gym leaders to investigate these incidents. As junior trainers, it is your job to represent the gym you train under and put an end to these disturbances before humans and pokemon alike are plunged into chaos.

Right. The rules of this little RP are simple. As stated, each player character must hail from a different gym of Johto or Sinnoh origin. Characters from both regions will be unable to interact with eachother until a specified time. Until then, you may only interact with others from your region. Also as junior trainers, you must have at least one pokemon to represent the type your gym prefers.(Except for Legendaries) (IE:Ghost type for Ecruteak, Water type for Pastoria, etc) You are welcome to capture pokemon of other types, but you must always have a pokemon of your gym at your side. Now then. Before we get started, I'd like to state one final requirement...

If you feel like quitting while in the middle of something important, DON'T! You are welcome to quit when nothing considered "MAJOR" is happening. If you are confused on when is a good time to quit, PM me, and I'll tell you if it's okay or not.

Gender:Female
Personality: a subtle joker and dangerous to anger.
Hometown:Blackthorn City
Gym: Blackthorn Gym (Go Dragons!)
Starting pokemon: Dratini
Likes:Choclate, kicking butt, and solving mysteries
Dislikes: people who claim that they are an expert when she knows more than they do.
Backstory:Liv was just hanging out at the gym when she learned her twin brother had succumbed to the mysterious illness going around, which caused her to freak out, then Claire whacked her on the head and told her to calm down. Since the league said each gym could have a representitive in the case, Claire had chosen Liv because everyone else was staying to size up any trainers wanting a gym battle, that and she really didn't want Liv to be distracted in her training dratini.

Personality: He is usually kind hearted and listens intently at any myth or legend.

Gym:Eternia City Gym
Starting pokemon: Grotle, Gravler
Likes: The myths of creation, reading, Erika of Celedon City
Dislikes: cruel trainers, idiotic trainers, Gardinia leaving the gym
Backstory: After getting his starter from Prof. Rowan like most other trainers, Tony set off to get all the badges in Sinnoh and beat the Elite four. However, when he reached Gardinia, he couldn't seem to beat her. As it turns out, she saw something promising in him and used her full power on him so that he couldn't beat her and wouldn't be able to continue. For the past four years, Tony has been a junior trainer at the Gym, occasonaly battling some of the trainers challenging the Gym.

Alright, here's my character.

Age: 15
Gender: Female
Personality: Erika is absolutely brilliant for her age. Unfortunally, she's....slightly crazy. People find it difficult to talk to her sometimes, for she often thinks of something completly unrelated, and then stop paying attention to the current conversation, often thinking out loud. Despite all of her flaws, she is very upbeat and friendly, at least until she gets distracted. She also doesn't take very much seriously.
Hometown: Ecruteak City
Gym: Ecruteak Gym
Starting pokemon: Haunter, Drifloon
Likes: Mythology, books, ruins, legends and legendary pokemon
Dislikes: Distractions
Backstory: Erika was born in Johto, but only lived there for a few years or so before moving to Sinnoh to study the region's mythology. This was where she met her Drifloon. Her family then moved back to Ecruteak City to study the Burned and Tin Towers. Erika inherited her love of ruins and mythology from her parents. She also turned out to be very talented with pokemon, and began studying under Morty at a young age.

Gender: Male
Personality: Kyoushi tries to act all tough and cool, but he's really a sensitive wimp. His Pokemon aren't necessarily wimps, but as a human being, he's kind of pitiful. He's trying to be more like Chuck, though; whether I mean the gym leader or the Norris, you can decide for yourself...
Hometown: Cianwood
Gym: Cianwood
Starting Pokemon: Breloom, Mankey
Likes: His mullet, Chuck
Dislikes: People who dislike his mullet, Flying Pokemon
Backstory: Kyoushi's always lived in Cianwood... his parents, however, have not, because they were busy smuggling Pokemon illegally from Hoenn to Johto. Yes, they were a most unpleasant lot, but Kyoushi got a Shroomish out of the deal. And because it would eventually evolve into a Fighting type, the local gym kind of adopted young Kyoushi when his parents were arrested. They also hooked him up with a Mankey so he would actually have a Fighting type... and because no one else wanted it. It's kind of a jerk.

[Giga-Gar]

"Ok Grotle, use razor leaf!" Just as commanded, the Grotle attacked the Piplup, who was looking pretty tired. The little penguin never had a chance, and fainted with a thud. "Piplup!" it's trainer cried. She returned her piplup back into it's ball, and looked away in defeat. "Hey, don't feel too bad," Tony said. "My Gravler never stood a chance against that piplup of yours. When you come back, I want to see that Piplup and Starly of yours up a level or two." He patted her on the back and escorted her to the Gym's exit. He looked down and noticed that his Grotle giving him an expecting look. "Ok Grotle, Lets go back to our station. Just one one more battle and thenwe'll be able to look at the statues." Tony walked to a wall in the gym, and, making sure none of the trainers challenging the gym were looking, pushed to relveal a hidden wall with a healing unit like the ones found in Pokecenters. After healing Grotle and Gravler, Tony hurried back to his post.

[Atma]

@Gar:You are soon approached by a large bald man who seems to have been watching your battle for some time. "Not bad for a gym lapdog!" He says bluntly. "How about you and I have a go next?" Do you accept his challenge?

[Giga-Gar]

"Lapdog!?" Tony yelled indignantly. "Fine, if you want a battle, I'll give you a battle. Go, Gravler!" Tony threw the pokeball and out came the Gravler, which was cracking it's stony knuckles.

[Saber Knight]

"Erika! Erika!" Erika's head whirred around to see a man running toward her.
"Hey, Daddy!" Called back Erika with a smile. "What'cha want?"
"Erika, what are you doing here?"
"Why, studying the Burned Tower, of course." Replied Erika. "Really, there's no really good other reason for me to be here, now is there?"
"I mean what are you doing here now. You should be at the Gym at this time of the day!"
"Why? I'm fine here."
"Erika, at this age I shouldn't have to be telling you where to...." He cut off as soon as he noticed that Eirka was no longer paying attention. He sighed, and waited a few moments, shaking his head. "Erika, what am I ever to do with you?" Her father wondered out loud. Erika didn't hear him. In her minds eye she saw the magnificent Legendary birds soaring through the sky.
"I'll find them one day." She said with a grin.
"Right, but not today." He was ignored again.
"I'll see them! And get one of those beautiful feathers!"
"Erika!!" Shouted her father, shaking her.
"W-What?" She stuttered, shaken from her day-dream.
"Gym. Now."
"Okay!" She said cheerily and bounded off toward the Gym, her Haunter at her heels. Her father sighed once again and shook his head.

[Silver]

"Rick, you stupid little monkey! Get back here!"

Rick the Mankey ran down the Cianwood coastline, looking quite pleased with himself, with Kyoushi and his mullet not far behind. The Mankey seemed to be wearing a rather embarassing pair of heart-print underwear on his head, though it was hard to tell as he sped down the rocky beach. The trainer pointed angrily at his Pokemon and shouted, "I thought only traded Pokemon were alowed to be this stubborn! You were a gift... I named you and everything, dang it!"

Rick stopped running, and for a second Kyoushi though he was successful in his chase... but the Mankey jumped onto a rock and imitated Kyoushi's frantic yelling before continuing to run. "Oh, that's it... Rick, prepare to be Roll'd! Use Spore!" Roll the Breloom appeared from the Pokeball and unleashed a cloud of dust after the Mankey, causing it to fall asleep instantly. "Geez... you'd think the only reason they gave me this stupid Mankey was because they wanted to be rid of him..." Kyoushi mumbled as Rick disappeared into his Pokeball. "All right, Roll... we better get back to the gym... and don't hesistate to use your Mach Punch on anyone who even thinks of laughing."

Gender: Male
Personality: He's a fast thinker and tends to take serious risks with little forethought. He's fairly outgoing and adventurous though gets annoyed with others if they seem to be holding him back.
Hometown: Sunyshore City
Gym: Sunyshore Gym
Starting pokemon: Pikachu, Eevee
Likes: Battles, Winning, Action
Dislikes: Losing, Waiting
Backstory: Shane gew up in Sunyshore City but dreamed of exploring the world. Unfortunately, that cost money, which he didn't have, so he began to look for a job. He tried several things but, due to his general impatience and tendency to act before fully thinking things through, none of them worked out. Then one day he saw several people chasing a pichu through town. Seeing that they were having trouble keeping up with it, Shane offered them a hand and managed to catch it. It turned out the pichu had run away from the gym. To thank Shane for his help, and because the pichu seemed to have taken a liking to him, Volkner offered Shane both the pichu and a job at the gym. Since then Shane has trained hard, evolved pichu into pikachu, and gotten an eevee, which he plans to evolve into a jolteon soon.

@Gar:The bald man laughed with his belly shaking like a bowl full of jelly. "Ha! Too easy! Get em Donphan!" He cries as he throws out his pokeball. Judging by how it looks, this Donphan looks to be pretty tough. What move shall your Graveler perform?

@Saber:You see smoke in the distance. From the looks of it, it appears that a fire has broken out at the Tin tower. Will you investigate or will you ignore it?

@Silver:(I'm ignoring that pun ever happened)You receive a phone call on your pokegear. the caller ID reads "Chuck" Will you answer?

(@Jaffy:I don't mind. I actually expected Sunyshore to be one of the first choice picks.)

"Hrm. Now that's not something that happens usually." Erika observed as she stopped in her tracks. "I'm sure the Gym won't mind..." She muttered to herself as she dashed over to the now-smoking Tin Tower. "I hope this one doesn't burn too...that'd be no fun to have two burned towers."
