Ah, music takes up much of my life.
As for music I listen to, it's mainly musicals. Especially Wicked, Les Miserables, and Jesus Christ Superstar. I also listened to a bit of the Vacation Bible School music (yes, I got the CD) a bit ago.

Les Miserables was awesome.
Uh...lessee...I listen to a lot of stuff...
My iPod currently has songs by Linkin Park, Evanescence, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, The Used, HIM, Simple Plan, 30 Seconds to Mars, Senses Fail, background music from Ragnarok Online and Mabinogi, some songs from Tsubasa and Bleach OSTs, almost all of the Bleach opening and ending themes, one FMA ending theme, a lot of Bleach Beat songs, one random really old Chinese song, the Halo 2 theme, and I'm probably missing some things 'cause I can't remember my entire playlist.
In any case, I usually like songs in minor keys. In songs with lyrics, I like songs that are sad or depressing more than the ones that are happy. I guess my favorite genre is rock, although I'm not sure exactly what category a lot of the stuff I listen to falls in.

Five words: Show Tunes and Anime Music.
I'll pretty mcuh listen to anything... as long as it's in Japanese.
Or it comes from Wicked, Spamalot, or Avenue Q.

"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Show tunes all the way!
Oh, and Legend of Zelda music. That's my life.
Vacation Bible School music fits itself in there somewhere or other.

Re: Music Thread
Thanks to all the awesome CD stores in Japan, my music collection is now mainly video game soundtracks, along with some anime soundtracks, and a little bit of unrelated J-Pop. I also have a lot of 60's rock, some comedy stuff (mainly Weird Al), a bit of religious music, and small collection of the few modern pop/rock songs that I actually like. If people are interested, I can post a list sometime.
Re: Music Thread
Normally, I just listen to whatever my radio plays, and only change it to something else if something that I REALLY don't like comes on.
But, I always have liked Crush 40. I just love their style, their tunes, pretty much all of their music.
Although, my most prized CD is my Japan imported "True Blue: The Best of Sonic the Hedgehog". I waited about 2 weeks for it, and it contains remastered versions of most of the lyrical songs from every Sonic game.

Re: Music Thread
I have so much random stuff I couldn't list.
I'll listen to pretty much anything really.
Currently though, my playlist on repeat is:
Waka Laka song
Blink by Chameleon Circuit
I Can't decide- the scissor sisters
Life on Mars- David Bowie
Ashes to ashes- "
Song for Ten- (those of you who are familiar with 'the christmas invasion' should know it's the song that's playing during the 'chosing the outfit' montage)
Mmm mmm mmm- Crash test dummies.
Yes, that's random.
I couldn';t even begin to summarise my 'all music' playlist.
I have stuff from musicals, Japanese songs (thanks Kaida lol), rock songs, bubblegum pop.. you name it.
Haha, I have some Aqua right next to some emo music!

I sincerely hope the lyrical Sonic songs you're talking about are different from the ones in the US releases of the Sonic games, cause I really can't stand those.Simsmagic wrote:Although, my most prized CD is my Japan imported "True Blue: The Best of Sonic the Hedgehog". Yeah, I know. It's just that I think you're the first person I've heard say he really likes them.
