"Um actually it is possible to identify herbs in the dark, mainly by taste and the shape. But it is easier if you can see them." Kaida pointed out to Darryl. "Oh and you'll need this." Kaida said going over to Talene and handing him/her a bad full of Berri. "And I'll join you, I kind of have the money after all." She continued easily avoiding a stack of crates. "Ooo I wonder if there's anything valuble in these crates."

"Okay, I got one!" Darryl walked off the boat holding a lantern. He dug in his pocket for his lighter, then held the flame to the lantern. A circle of light flared into being around him, causing some hisses from the inhabitants of the town.
"Light!"
"It burns!"
"Shut up, you." Darryl turned to Marcus. "Alright, let's go. I need to buy food anyway... The pantry on the ship is empty."

Marcus started to lead the way to the market, but not without a couple of detours and a few wrong turns. "Finaly, where here," Marcus said. "Well, we would have gotten here sooner if you didn't stop to oogle those needles," Darryl retorted. "Well, I'm running out of them anyway. You never know when you are going to make a vaccene and you run out of needles to put it in Bob."

Jake heard the screams of the townspeople, and noticed the light. "Hey, a lantern. And from the looks of it, that's a ship. This is our chance to get out of here!" Jake said to the parrot on his shoulder as he approached the ship. Atticus simply responded by nodding.

"Yosh! I'm set!" Darryl was carrying several items of meat, fish, fruit, and spices. "Where are those herbs you wanted me to identify?"

Talene and Kaida left the group before Darryl found the lanturn. After running into several more things, and complaing a whole lot more about his/her hat, Talene found the right shop and began piling items on the counter (mostly charts but there was a spare compass, sextant, and the like too).

"That should do it." Talene surveryed the stack. "You said you're paying, right? Anything you want to get as long as we're here?"

After getting the desired herbs, hypodermic needles, and getting a poisonous herb for torture-I mean, experimentation, Dr. Marcus lead Darryl and Bob back to the ship. Leaving the chef and the other guy to their own devises, Marcus walked to the gally to put everything away. When he opened the gally's door, he saw a man and a parrot looking around the place. "Hey guys! We have another stowaway!"

OOC: Look, I may not be too familiar with the rp style of the PV forum, but when a rper is active, you don't control their characters. All I ever said was that he boarded the ship, and that he was looking around. And I quote:

There is no record of chasing or making a mess. I just nicely ask that you (and others who may want to) don't control my characters for me. I'll give notice if I have to go afk for an extended period of time. Thank you. I'll make a rp post once more people have posted, I don't want to monopolize the rp.

((Yeah, I was going to wait for him to steal the ship, then reveal a secret that I've been hiding for my character. Anyways Soul_Man, were you planning on stealing the ship or just stowing away? Bah, it doesn't matter anyhow... *Goes on a tirade about the general suckiness of life.*))

More OCC: I was gonna stow away or just ask the captain about hitching a ride. I didn't/don't have too much planned, but I don't think 1 person and a parrot could steal a ship the size of the Hamtaro Ship.

((This type of thing really should be kept to the OOC thread to avoid clutter. But anyway, just so you know Soul_Man... The way things usually work here is that we don't control active members' RP characters...much. Occasionally someone will give another person's character a line or a simple action or something for convenience but such things are usually pretty minor and not all that common. However, if you're not comfortable with that, that's fine.))

Suddenly everyone got sucked into a time warp. When they came to they had returned to the ship, though Bob had contacted some unknown person first. In addition, a carpenter had joined the crew and was quickly beseiged with requests to build things, including a gambling room. Silver had started work on the flag, when he suddenly realized that he couldn't paint, while Talene tried to decide where they should go next.

"A destination." Talene muttered as he/she studied a map. "Shroom Island isn't too far from here... Or there's always The Dukedom of Earl... Any opinions?"
