Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! It didn't sleet today...it's snowed and rained instead. Fortunately it didn't start until after I made it to work, which means that I didn't have to spend all day biking in the snow and rain, just a good chunk of it. On the upside, my copy of Super Maio Galaxy came today! Combine that with a case of writer's block, and ROM and MAI posts will have to wait a day or two.
*Glances at Silver's anime list.* I wouldn't bother watching any more of Big O if I were you. It gets pretty repititious plus the whole plot falls to pieces at the end.

Heso! Eh... I'm not particularly fond of mech anime anyway, but... they're showing it on Adult Swim, and since I'm already there for Blood+ and Samurai Champloo, I figured it couldn't hurt to follow it. Besides, the main character's voice actor is Steve Blum, and it's certainly been interesting so far with the whole lost history thing... ok so that just reminds me of One Piece (Where are the Poneglyphs when you need them?), but still. Steve Blum.Josiah wrote:*Glances at Silver's anime list.* I wouldn't bother watching any more of Big O if I were you. It gets pretty repititious plus the whole plot falls to pieces at the end.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Hi! That reminds me, I need to watch the rest of BloodPlus sometime (I`m on a school computer right now which has a Japanese keyboard and I`ve got no clue how to type a plus symbol). Gundam definately has the best mech anime I`ve seen (although it varies a bit by series since there`s so many different Gundan series, my current favs are Wing and 08th MS Team). Full Metal Panic is pretty awesome too (and something you`d probably like Silver).
What other mech series have I seen? The various Macross stuff isn`t bad but it`s no Gundam.
Evangelion is...really really weird. Starts out good but the ending is...well, makes no sense if you don`t watch the movies along with it. Then it makes perfect sense and explains everything...but it`s still not a good ending for reasons I won`t say cause of spoilers.
Escaflowne is good (the TV series is a lot better than the movie, BTW) and definately not your usual mech series (being set in a fantasy world).
Brain Powered was ok until I got to the end and realized it never explained half the important plot points.
Zegapain is a really good series and definately makes you think but it`s also extremely depressing.
I`ve also got some other mech series that I totally can`t remember the name of...but it`s fairly good.
Long as I`m talking anime, you should probably also check out Akazukin Chacha and Gokudo. Both are hillarious and both are shows that hardly anyone has seen (Chacha is available as a fansub, Gokudo did get a US release but it`s hard to find). And both have nothing to do with mechs (well, except for a couple of episodes...).

Heso! I'm one step ahead of you on this one!
Y'see... after the first season, Full Metal Panic got the words 'Kyoto Animation' stamped on it. Itsuki from that SOS Brigade I mentioned... is a horrible KyoAni fanboy. He has practically forced our entire anime club to watch Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu, Lucky Star, Clannad, and FMP; I can only assume Kanon and Air will follow shortly.
By clicking the nice little myanimelist banner, you're transported to a giant list of every anime I've ever watched in my life (excluding, say, Sailor Moon, which I'd never fess up to having watched as a kid... aw, crap). Careful examination should reveal that, not only would I probably like Full Metal Panic, but that I did like it when I watched it last November.Josiah wrote:Full Metal Panic is pretty awesome too (and something you`d probably like Silver).

Konbanwa. All the anime I've ever watched in my life amounts pretty much to:
~ Naruto (a few episodes scattered here and there, plus the first twenty or so dubbed)
~ Bleach (all except for the most recent)
~ Tsubasa (all, plus the first OVA)
~ Pokemon (dubbed, and probably less than half of the first season)
~ Yu Yu Hakusho (also dubbed, and only about five minutes of one episode)
~ Sonic X (first three episodes, dubbed, along with just the first in Japanese)
Pretty sad little list.

Warupala! I made a list of my own a while back on which anime I recommend to everyone. Here's a copy of it with a slight editing.
1:The latest Gundam series 00 has developed into quite an interesting story so far. Before it's airing, fans feared that it would be as bad as Wing. However such is not the case. (Except maybe for Tieria Erde, who's basically a robot anyway)Another complaint people have towards 00 is how unoriginal the gundam designs are. Which is a rather moot arguement if you take a look at some of the grunt mobile suits such as the Tieran and the Anf. In short:While the conclusion is still a long ways away, Gundam 00 still remains interesting for the most part.(Ali rules!)
2:Desert Punk = Epic and full of win.
3:Macross, Macross, Macross!

Yo! I watch most of my anime online in japanese, seeing as I dislike dubs (except for the FMA one, which rocked. The Bobobo one is pretty good too.) Anyways, here's my anime list...
1. One Piece: Currently watching the whole series on Veoh.
2. Law of Ueki: Somebody uploaded the whole series in subs onto YOuTube, so I'm watching the whole series of this as well (after reading the manga, which pwned)
3. Full Metal Alchemist: Watched about half the series before getting sidetracked by other stuff.
4. Bobobo: Watched the first 4 episodes dubbed.

Oh my god….there are four of them in a row….I just kept scrolling and scrolling and there were more and more. It’s a beating boobie army!
RUN AWAY!
Um, anyway, I have been lurking the forums for a while know, I’ve not disappeared, but for some reason I haven’t been posting so much * shrugs *
Think I’ll join in with my own anime list; these aren’t my favourite animes, just the one’s I’ve checked out recently in order of favourites
1. Murder Princess: Not something I would have thought of watching until it was suggested to me, but I checked it out on youtube. Very good series, very good indeed
2. Full Metal Alchemist: Have watched the first half of DVD, and caught the last half over Christmas on TV, just need to watch the middle eps.
3.. Hellsing: Brits kicking ass, what more do you want?
4. Oh My goddess: watched a lot in Japanese with fan dub, just starting watching it in English.

Don't worry Shauni. See? Harold likes boobies too (You'll see what I mean if you watch the video long enough...). Hehehe... Total Drama Island pwns. Shame it's exclusive to Teletoon (a Canadian-only channel) so none of you yanks can watch it. It's awesome. And Harold is my favourite character.shauni wrote:Oh my god….there are four of them in a row….I just kept scrolling and scrolling and there were more and more. It’s a beating boobie army!

Anyways, just ate at a Mongolian-style resturant, and the food was awesome! You pretty much take a bowl and get to pick your own meal from a bunch of ingredients (vegetables, meat, seafood, noodles, tofu, etc.), pick your sauce, and they fry it up and serve it to you. I got some green beans and broccoli with heaping piles of pork, chicken, and Asian noodles, and smothered it with teriyaki sauce. It's awesome! Teriyaki sauce is the best thing to come out of Asia since, like, rice. And One Piece.
