Slovenia is not a monarchy. The only time Slovenia was a part of a monarchy was before 2. World War, when we were still a part of Kingdom of Serbians, Croatians and Slovenes (that was the actualy name of the country which became Yugoslavia after 2. World War).
It is sad to see Slovenia is still taught about as a war-torn country.

No.
2 World War means that you speak of 2 World Wars at the same time without disclosing of which ones exactly you refer to.
World War 2 means you're speaking of the second world war.

*cough* I said 2. World War not 2 World War. As you can see, there is a dot there (which I bolded). "2." means second, right?
anyway, I'm not here to argue about that :P

Well, "2." means second if it's part of a numbered list.
1. First item.
2. Second item.
3. Third item.
etc...
So yeah, not to get on your or anything, but some people might have trouble understanding you if you're saying 2. World War. It's World War 2, WW2, WWII, etc. Or you could say the Second World War.

hah well, I am an Atheist, but it's not only that.
You see, we still celebrate Christmas as a family holiday. We are together, drink a bit, put up a christmas tree, watch a few good movies and all other. The only difference between your and our Christmas is that you give out gifts. Now, Slavic nations (By the way, word Slavic does not originate from word "slave", but from latin word "sclavi", which later became a synonim for slaves. This does not mean that any Slavic country should be considered as a slave, unlike Hitler thought) have a tradition on giving gifts on New year's eve (also, this traidition was highly venerated in times of Yugoslavia, when we still had socialism. As you might know, socialism is a heavily modified communism (modified in a good way, nobody was poor back then) which is only similar to communism in fundamentals. One of these fundamentals is that "religion will not be needed" (Marx thought that Communism was a perdect society, which it would be if not for some persons that exploited that system. He also thought that religion only exists because world is not perfect. Ergo, in Communism, religion would not be needed). This is why tradition of Christmas died and New year's eve traidition is still very much present.
Of course, there are some Slovenians that do give gifts on Christmas, but that is mainly because of globalisation and not because of christians.
(My hands kinda hurt right now, but you have a right to know)
