mizu: Means water. This is just the general term for water. You'd use it if you were asking for a glass of water but not when saying that you want to go to the ocean (although you could use it when saying that the ocean has a lot of water).

going from that, here's some One Piece vocab for ya...

umi - sea

This has been a gift from Opening 5, Kokoro no Chizu, which I've had stuck in my head since April. "Nana iro no kaze o kiri bouken no umi e"... And come to think of it, I can translate that whole line.

nana - seven
iro - color
no - of (although prepositional phrases are basically backwards in Japanese)
kaze - wind
o/wo - direct object marker
kiri - Well, Zoro tends to use it as 'slash' (as in, Onigiri = demon slash... or rice ball...) but in the case of Kokoro no Chizu it means 'ride'
bouken - adventure
e/he - towards
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Gah, missed more days...

yuki: Means snow.

sora: Means sky

te: Means hand. It's also part of a lot of words that you'd never think it would be. More on that another time...

sensei: Means teacher. It can be used as a noun or attached to names as a suffix. It's often used for teachers of some sort (school, martial arts, whatever) but is sometimes also used for people of other professions.

aku: Means evil.

warui: Means bad, like in "It tastes bad." Written with the same kanji as aku, proving that people who make bad tasting food are evil.

Akuma means "devil" or "demon". As in, the Devil's Fruit of One Piece are "Akuma no Mi".

kami: Means hair, paper, and god... Yeah, three really different meanings and if you can't see what kanji is used to write it you just gotta go by context.
