Origin of your screen name

Post by Celebifly »

So like, how did you come up with your screen name? If it's your name, say why you kept to use it, or how you got your nick name that you might use in real life.

Here's the history or Celebifly....

As you all know, I started off with Opal, but that's a way different story...that actually involves Golden Sun/Minum. But that's for another day. So anyway, I was using Opal as my name and screen name in MHO (before it got disabled) and here in PV, then...things started to happen....

I started writing the fan-fic about IP, and that time around, I really disliked Beautiflies because of Silver with his hatred against Swell-I mean suckows and I disliked Beautiflies because they're a rip off of Butterfrees, so I made a Celebi sprite with Butterfree wings, and I was thinking of a name for it one day when I was biking, and since Celebifree sounded weird, I used the suffix of '-fly' and Celebifly was created.

And then i asked Josiah over msn to change it for me since I was locked out of PV at that time. Bwah!

Imagine what Celebifly would of been like if I used Celebifree...

I, uh... I don't know, actually. Well, I mean, I used Silver here because that's my main roleplay character's name and it has been for over two years... but I don't remember how I started using it. For some reason I think I'd come up with it years ago to satisfy some weird eight-year-old immagination... but if I know me, which I should hope I do but you'd be surprised, I was creating the character for my very first neoboard roleplay, couldn't come up with a name, saw my Silver Version sitting by the screen, and thought, 'Oh! Silver! That sounds awesome!'

...Of course, if that's the case, my name probably would have been 'Simba', '3x5 notecard', 'Paperclip'... woah! That sounds a million times cooler! Why didn't I name my character Paperclip?!
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

I was bored one day in Biology class, and My mind was in a Matrix mode, and I could only draw kirbys. So I drew Kirby... gave him a jacket and glasses... Different poses...

ANd today... It has become an obsession...
Look at this signature. Isn't it the funniest and most hilarious signature you've ever seen?

I am the artist formerly known as Matrix Kirby.

I should totally get my username changed to Stevenson....taht'd be cool.....

Anyway, since that isn't going to happen, I opicked Mastermindmurray because, I like to think of myself as an intellectual. And Murray is a cool name and a cool character from the monkey island series.

The name "Shauni" was taken from the Playstation Two game named "Beyond Good or Evil" in which it was used as a pen name to write artical's for a Freedom Fighters News paper by the main hero, Jade.

I adopted the name 'Shauni' to use on the Pebble Version forum as I liked the irony of using a pseudonym as a username becuase a username IS a pseudnym (a pseudnym is another word for allies used when describing a pen name).

At the time Beyond Good and Evil was my favarte game, and I orginaly used a Picture of Jade (who uses the name 'Shauni' as the pen name in the game) from the game for my avi

"Shauni"or "Shani" means "red" in Hebrew

Well Neo has been a long time used name for me even before the Matrix movies came out. It was part of the name that my providence in the game Utopia that my kingdom used as a theme. Like Neo Darkwood, ect...

So the name has stuck with me for a long time. Zanther was acutally a name i made up myself though I'm not sure how I even manage to pull that off.

So for the past few years I've been using Neo Zanther as a game name and forum name :)

I asked to get my screen name changed....

And let me just say; Opal came from the name Opela. Imagine if I still went by Opela or even the name Hunter....
So thanks to the people who misread it and just went with Opal...mainly GS/Minum :)

The Baboon's an old character of mine. The guy was created somewhere... early in middle school, I believe. After... well, quite a while, he's become one of my most prevalent creations.
As for why I put him down for my screen name? Well, I've always had trouble coming up with names, be it for games, forums, or whatever. I probably spent upwards of an hour before simply deciding to borrow my favored character's moniker.
As an aside: I rarely use the same name twice for online stuff. I could be anyone! Bum bum bummmm...

I believe everyone might know this, but I first used this screen name for pogo, and it's just stuck with me. To neopets, and here, altough people comment about the overused numbers, and I understand why. That's where I got this name, and there are a few changes, but it's also used for my AIM too.

I took the name Atma, because it sounds cool. That and NOT only is it the name of a boss from FFVI, but it's also partly the name of the hindu god of death and rebirth. (IE:Atma Vaati)
