Professor Silver's Lab

Post by Silver »

Hello, there! Glad to meet you! Welcome to the world of CRAZY MIXED UP MUTANT IMPOSSIBLE POKEMON! My name is SILVER. People affectionately refer to me as PSYCHOTIC. This world...

Image
...is inhabited far and wide by creatures we call IP. For some people, IP are pets. Others use them for battling. As for myself... I splice and mutate POKEMON as a profession. But first, tell me a little about yourself. Now tell me. Are you a boy? Or are you a girl?

...Well, whatever you are, your very own IP legend is about to unfold! A world of dreams and adventures with IP awaits! Let's go!

We have Grass, Fire, or Water IP to choose from. When you've decided which type you'd like, just tell me or my Aid, Saber Knight, and we'll get you an IP to start your journey.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

I'll take Fire. And, if I have to use a Pokémon sprite as a base, this will do (bit of a rush job, but it should be good enough).

No, no that won't do at all! The outline is completely black... the color palette for the pants is too limited, so it looks like there's no shading... and the shape of your poor head! It looks like you have a beak! I shall fix it at once.

Hush now, little sprite... there there... Doctor Silver will make it all better...

Josiah gets special treatment because he's Josiah. Don't the rest of you hand me a rushed sprite and expect me to fix it! I'll use something completely different instead, ok? Good. Now, down to business...

So, Josiah, you're choosing the Fire IP?

Chimbra (Male)
Level 3
Type / Fire, Psychic
Abilities / Blaze, Inner Focus
Attacks / Scratch, Teleport
EXP / 300

This IP is really quite energetic!

Do you want to give a nickname to this Chimbra?

Thanks, Silver! Yeah, I wanted to spend more time on the sprite but I had too much work to get done so I decided it was "good enough". Definately not my best sprite work, or anything close to it.

Anyway, I'll be continuing my long standing tradition of not using nicknames.

An up-and-coming trainer enters the lab, cool and calculated yet unaware of the adventures ahead!
Imagehad I access to better image editing, this would have a translucent background. And yes, this resembles the real me very much.
I'm partial to Grass-types, myself, so I'll take that Grass IP!

Yes, that one will be just fine. Transparent background doesn't matter, I'm just going to be putting on a background anyway. And I still don't even bother with transparent backgrounds.

So, Blivsey, you're chosing the Grass IP?

Nice...I'll produce a Sprite in this post later (won't be my own work, no way of being able to sadly) but anyway, I'll start out with a Fire as well.

Kaida is a girl.

Kaida Chooses a fire Starter. Kaida will now need to go pick a sprite and possibly alter it. . .

*Edit*

So I attempted at altering sprites. And made a few, but I decided on this one.

I'm at a severe disadvantage here, aren't I, Ms. KNIGHT? What with all these new trainers choosing Fire-type IPs, and I have a Grass-type...

It's not just a Grass type, it's a Grass/Rock type. I think you'll be all right, seeing as trainer vs. trainer battles are rare anyway...

Also, Spoiler: first gym is Rock.

Also also: Enough with the fire types already! I'm gonna have to start giving doubles... and all of the water starters are so wonderful but no one wants them...
