beware, strong language afoot
He brings up a few good points, but at the same time his general thesis is broken. This is a comic with a regular, punctual upload schedule since '03. Of course it's going to have quite the backlog. 'Bout the only thing I wholeheartedly agree with is, yes, one thousand strips and we still don't know too much about the backstory. So yeah, I'd take this with a grain of salt. He's one of those guys who believes his point isn't sound enough unless it's backed by volatile language.

Ah. I've stumbled upon that exact same webpage before. I wouldn't say it's something to pay attention to. Lots of people will love Josiah's comic, yet there will be a few who hate it. Whoever made that page most likely hadn't even read all the PV strips up to date, which is why most of the claims he makes are false. People like this guy tend to make a lot of lame assumptions about things they don't like. We all tend to do that, and this reviewer of PV is just one of those people who do. All in all, don't worry about it, Blivsey. Most writers tend to deal with this type of criticism all the time, but I wouldn't consider that one reviewer a "critique" because of his fowl language and numerous misconceptions about the comic. You're exactly right, too. Trolls on the internet typically state their opinion, but need to use frequent cuss words in order to enforce their opinion, which is quite foolish.

I came across that a while back and I don't really care too much. If you look, that site has pages for quite a lot of really good and popular comics. I don't think they so much try to find and single out comics they think are bad, but write bad reviews of every comic they can.

Again, the only thing I agreed with is the whole "not much backstory development", and even then, there's such a thing as "they're the evil team behind the evil teams, so let's keep things ambiguous".
And, of course, I agree that Josiah is a pretty cool guy.
I think Pebble Version is a pretty cool guy. eh misses with pokeballs and doesnt afraid of anything.

Everything will be revealed eventually. The problem is, if I bring it out too soon there won't be any big reveals left for later on. But, now that Brendan and May have cleared five gyms, things are going to start picking up in that regard relatively soon.

Come to think of it, this is about the point in the games where the plot really picked up.Josiah wrote:But, now that Brendan and May have cleared five gyms, things are going to start picking up in that regard relatively soon.

Ah, I remember that page. SMH.
I remember when I wholeheartedly agreed with it, though (of course, I don't anymore) when I was... well, older forum members will know. Erm... nobody look at this...
