Sprite Movies
Sprite Movies
I'm not sure if this belongs here or some other forum, but I was wondering if anyone here has experience making flash movies with sprites. So far I've learned how to make a character pull out a weapon and make them walk across the sceen. Can anyone help?

Ok, I do have a few questions then :D I have so far made a character walk across the screen and pull out a weapon over and over and over again! 1. how do I add a background that lasts the entire movie instead of 1 frame, 2. how do I make a character stop walking at a specific point, and 3. How can I make them jump?(I think that's motion guiding, but I don't know)
Backgrounds are easy. Just make a layer with your background in your first frame then go to the last frame in your movie and insert a keyframe on that layer. Things will just sit there between keyframes if you don't have any tweens set.
To get them to stop walking just move them as they walk then stop them when you get to the place you want.
If you're doing sprites you might be best off just adding keyframes for all the jumping stuff (the process is probably similiar to how you're doing the walking and weapon drawing). You could add a guide (by creating a line on a motion guide layer and locking the figure to that guide then using a motion tween) but for a sprite movie just key framing everything might be a better choice.
