ROM 2: Zodiac Legends

A purple color began to cover Taurus and an explosion knocked it back. It wasn't near ready to give up yet, though, and came Charging at Toshi with Bull Charge. Toshi managed to fly up and out of the way in time, unfortunately the same couldn't be said of Ummie...

*A large group of ice shards fly towards Taurus, stunning him for a moment. Josiah took advantage of this and attacked.*

"Aquatica merge with my sword!"

*Josiah's sword began to eminate with a water-like glow.*

"Elemental Charge: Water!"

*Each connecting hit Josiah made caused water to splash everywhere.*

"RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!"

*The 'Zodaic Legend' was destroyed.*

"Two down. Ten to go."

"What's up with him? He always leaves?"

*The others shrugged.*

"So, now that we have some time how about explaining that whole message you send me?"

"Ok." *Josiah was walking a bit slower than usual and his clothes had several dark stains that looked liked blood.* "After you and I split up I began to hear about these Zodiac monsters that had been attacking people so I didn't some investigating. See, they're actually data from other games, mostly Final Fantasy Tactics I think."

"But shouldn't the purge two years ago have destroyed them?"

"Yeah, it should have but it didn't because something in this world took their data and converted it so the purge didn't destroy it. After that it used an old legend from this world as a basis to give them bodies and sent them out."

"You mean some one in controlling these things?"

"Yeah. Once I figured that much out I had a guess about exactly what was going on so I went to this hidden fortress to check it out. Turned out my guess was dead on so I figured if I could defeat the big bad guy I wouldn't have to waste time tracking down all the Zodiac Legends. Problem was, even in my best fused form he was too powerful. I sent that message to Silver right before I was knocked out. They threw me in a dungeon but I barely managed to escape. I flew away on Night Wing and ended up near Onett where I got swarmed by a bunch of Gremlits. All my monsters were KO'd already but fortunately Yomico showed up. She took me to the shrine then told me where you guys had gone and here I am."

"So, who's controlling the Zodiac Legends?"

"Ah... Well you see, two years ago we screwed up. We didn't really beat the game. We almost made it but then stopped after defeating the Electric Chosen. We totally forgot about the final boss."

"You mean, Moen?" *Shauni gasped.*

"Exactly. He's been biding his time over the last two years to complete his work on the Zodiac Legends but now that they're finished he's ready to launch his attack and take over."

"Well let's go kill him then. With all of us I'm sure..."

"No can do. I heard the guards talking. I caught everyone by surprise when I attacked but after that they put up a barrier. We'll need all the Zodiac stones to get through."

"We'd better get moving then. Come on."

"Good point... But you know what would make it perfect?"

*Starts singing* "On the road again!"

"Well, at least we know that's Silver..."

"So Jeff," *Josiah grew serious* "what do you think happened to Amhal? Even if he got attacked by one of the Zodiac Legends he should have been strong enough to at least hold it off long enough to escape. And is he really dead? Moen could have killed me back at his fortress but he didn't..."

*Jeff remained silent.*

"We'll find out when we get there I guess."

*Meanwhile at the palace.*

"...ngh...got to warn... Jeff...but...can't stay here...Teleport..."

*In a flash of light, Amhal teleported out of the palace.*

*On the other side of the palace.*

Vormav: "...do you understand?"

"Yes! We will destroy them. Do not worry. They cannot stop the both of us."

Vormav: I'll slow them down. Take this time to set up.

"Okay."

*In an instant, the sky turned pitch black.*

"There's one of them nearby."

"I'm here to slow you down."

*In the distance a human-like lion stood on a hill.*

"We'll see."

*Jeff rushes toward Leo with his sword.*

"Bull Bu..."

*Before he could finish, Leo punched him in the stomach and knocked the wind out of him. He proceeded to toss Jeff back towards his comrades.*

"That should be enough for now. Until later!"

*Leo teleports away.*

"Jeff! Are you okay."

"I'm just a little winded, that's all. Nevermind that. We have to hurry. He could be in danger."

*They make it to the palace. The head towards the throne room. Two young girls were standing in front of the throne.*

"It seems they are here, sister."
"Yes, but we have no bait anymore."

"That's okay, sister. We can defeat them without Amhal."
"I agree. They don't stand a chance."

"Where is Amhal?"

"Did you hear that? No manners. Well take this! OMEGA BLIZZARD!"
"I did sister. How rude! Well take this! SHATTERED SOUL!"

"Look out!" *Josiah's years of martial arts training allowed him to jump out of the way just in time. The others weren't so lucky and ended up incased in a large block of ice. "Damn... Dark Flare, thaw them out while I try to hold these two off!"

"You think you can win alone?"
"Two on one?"

"Well, guess we'll find out! Ice is weak to electric so... Electricutz merge with me to form..." *Cue fancy transformation effects.* "Electric Ultimate!"

"Mercury Meteor!"
"Shattered Soul!"

*Electric Ultimate dodged most of the attack but did get hit by one of the falling meteors.* "Tch, let's see how you like this. Omega Thunder!!!"

*The gemini twins were hit hard and fell but were up again almost immediatly.* "Not bad."
"But it will take more than a legendary attack to beat us."

Black Flare, with the assistance of Toshi who was frozen inside the ice, thawed the group out.

"Finally, I need your help!"

*Shivers* "R-right... go R-Rekilec!"

"Yeah, go R-Ragnarok!"
