Josiah - can you block certain words, like, you can make anyword blockable on the admin pad? If so - I have some sugestions to get rid of these spam bots

Hi!

I think that you should make certain words forbidden, NOT CENSOR THEM, instead make it unable to have posts with them in it. If for instance you try to say tramadol you'd get an error message when trying to post.

That's what I was getting at. If they post a word, we'll block them from posting (ei - porn, viagra, etc) certain words. So when hey post, they error message will pop up, making them unable to post.

Another alternative is to prevent new members from posting for 2-3 days.
The bots never stay long so it would work very well.

Hi! I've told Shadowman several times, the only thing the word filters do is replace banned words with **** or something to that extant, they can't block posts. There's also no options to limit when new member can post. Trust me, if I could do something like that I already would have.

So, this is the main moving day for me so I'll be pretty busy. Hopefully I can get everything done.

I'm trying to set up DS wifi (So we can have Pebble Version Battles) and I wanna know how to access that website where you can set it up...it has to do something with the router (MK explained it to me - but his web address is of course, different than mine) so how do I figure out the web address without calling tech support?

Hi! Unfortunately, I probably won't be able to get my DS online till I'm back in CO (a couple of weeks) since the internet at my brother's place sucks and I have no idea what it'll be like at my grandparents. But to connect a DS, if your wireless network is unsecured you just need to go through the connection deal on the DS. If it has WEP security you need to find out what your WEP key is (often involves looking in the router settings) and enter that when you do the DS setup. If your network is using WPA security you'll need to change it since the DS doesn't support WPA.

So, I have another couple hours of moving related stuff to do today then I need to take my last final exam. After that I can finally get around to some serious game playing.

You could make it so that you have to approve of new members, as bots usually use random letters for names.

Hi! I actually tried that for a week or so once. Two problems. 1: Sometimes it was very hard to tell if a new member was legit or no. 2: I just didn't have time to sort through all the new members. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad now but then there were a lot of requests and I had to sort through all of them to make sure I didn't accidently block a real person.

13 hour days are evil. This is the last musical I ever join... until next year, but I'll never play in the pit again at least. And the best part is, playing bass clarinet, I barely play half the time...
