Usually concert events happen late at night, towards the end of conventions... usually. At least they usually do at Otakon... I don't know about Miku though, since she's kind of a big deal they might try to get an earlier time for her, but usually they save concerts for the end.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Hi! That's what I'm hoping. But I think I'm going to hold off on deciding whether or not I'll go to Anime Expo until they announce the schedule. I mean, I'd like to go even if I can't see Miku... But I probably shouldn't be blowing a lot of money on non work related trips right now. I plenty of money, I just don't know when I'll be making much more so... But if I can see Miku, it'll be worth it.

Hey.

So, I've been trying to look at colleges because I keep putting that off... so I'm going on websites and such. But then I got on the websites and went "wait... what do I look for?" I'm so totally lost. I have no idea what I want to major in (Other than probably something sciency... like computer science or engineering or chemistry), and the campus isn't a big deal to me, I'm more interested in the academics... so I don't even know where to start. I've been looking at engineering schools in the area (Northeastern US) and other stuff like that... but I wouldn't know why one is better than the other, or anything. I don't know what to ask, or what to look for... gah. Any advice? I'm freaking out a bit considering school is a month from being over and I still have no idea what I'm doing...

Hi! Looking for a college is always easier if you have an idea of what you want to major in but, lacking that, here's some things to take into consideration.

1. Location (Do you want to be close enough to live at home? Do you want to be as far away from your family as possible? Is the school in a nice area with shops, restaurants, and the like nearby?)
2. Programs of Study (Does the school have degrees in subjects you think you might be interested in?)
3. Cost (How much is tuition? Are they any scholarships or discounts you might be able to qualify for? How much do meals and dorms cost? If there aren't dorms or you don't really want to live in a dirty little closet with some random stranger, are there nice affordable apartments nearby?)
4. Campus (While not neccessary, it's nice to have a campus with good facilities like a gym, public computers, a library, game room, etc.)
5. Reputation (What programs (if any) is the school well known for? Does the school have a good academic reputation in general? Do most of their graduates go on to get good jobs?)

You can find a lot of the above out via a bit of simple internet searching, although visiting in person always helps. And if you know anyone who attended or is attending a place you're interested in, talk to them about it and find out what they like and dislike (I, for example, could tell you about Mesa State, UAT, and Arizona State).

On a completely different topic, I remembered that one group is predicting the end of the world today and an odd thought popped into my head. Their end of the world deal is supposed to start around 6 or so, if I remember right. But how did they decide what time zone to use? I mean, I've got a bit over two hours to go until then, but then it's already past 6 on the east coast (the time zone they used) and in half the world the 21st is already over. Why the heck would God keep Eastern Standard Time anyway? I'd think if He followed any time zone it would be the one Isreal is in. But, going off of the weird formula they used to get that date and time in the first place, I'm guessing logic doesn't play much of a role in their thought process.

Hey!

Wow, how long has it been since I was on? Still quite busy with trying to drive and schoolwork. Wish me luck!

Peace out!

So I'm back. Took my finals about two weeks ago, got everything settled down. Pretty glad that heaven has decent wi-fi. All jokes aside, I'm glad to be back, and I should be posting regularly now.

so, any important personal events I missed, any consistant new posters?

I go to an awesome Christian camp called pine cove next week. The week after that, I go to a camp with my church. I'm starting summer with a bang.

Actually, I'm learning three years of Latin over the summer to catch up with my grade at the private school I'll be going to next year. It's gonna be awesome.

I also have an Xbox 360 and a PSP now. That means I have all current systems. And I'm allowed to play Halo (First M game that my mom let's me play.)

Also, back.

Hi! I spent most of yesterday doing a combination of errands and playing Dissidia. I was going to see Pirates 4 but got invited by some friends to join a tabletop game. It was a World of Darkness game based on Silent Hill. Supposed to be a one shot, but we didn't end up finishing it. I nearly got killed by the first monster. My character was the best fighter in the group by far but the first monster just happened to be one with super strength (not a good match for my melee fighter) and then I rolled a critical failure (dice don't really like me) so yeah... Anyway, weekend is over so it's back to work.

What happened here? It seems like a ghost town. Hardly any posts come through, new members are few and far between. Why, back in my day...

But yes, it seems that this forum has passed it's heyday.

Moi,

True, but do realize some people, like me, are going to be away for a bit getting finals over with.

Woo! Spring fest at my school is this friday! (spring fest is a day where the different clubs in the school get to open booths to sell stuff and other things happen. Most of which I am not familiar with since I'm only a freshmen.) My club, the anime club, is selling Pocky (which I just bought today), Soda, a kind of drink I'm not to familiar with called Ramune (I think that's how it's spelt), and keychains with different characters from several animes on them. Goodness, pocky is expensive in some stores, in stores around here that actually sell it, that is. At least I found a store that sold it and wasn't too expensive. I hope friday comes quickly. The pocky might not last 'till then. *noms on own box of pocky*

Someone's been playing the Song of Storms to much around here. We're getting T-storms every other day.

Hi! Things were pretty busy during KOTF, Gar. But yeah, it's been pretty dead the last few weeks due to finals and what not.

Hey.

Working on my 1776 project... bundles of fun. Love the music. Molasses to Rum from the movie cast is so ridiculously haunting... it's absurd. However, deciphering historical accuracy of some events is... tricky, to say the least. Can't find too many reliable sources. The director of 1776 apparently has notes that supposedly reference real historical documents... which several people have cited on the webpages I've found. However, then I come to another website that discredits that... so I'm having issues finding out what to believe. Should be fun.

Scores for the May SATs come out tomorrow. Being the nerd I am, I've been anticipating that all week. Ahhhh. Ahhhhhh. AHHHHH.

Hi! While it's nice that they have a guy come in every week to take care of the plants in the landscaping, does he really have to use a weedwhacker at 6:30 in the morning? It's woken me up every Thursday since I moved here. >,>#

Yes I have been very busy with stuff. But it's good to see things start moving again.

Not much else to report. Oh, Gar your Song of Storms comment reminded me of something :P. On the supposed day of the rapture one of my friends posted on facebook the "Dawn of The Final Day" title card from Majoras Mask. Funny how both were supposed to happen at six. Looks like someone played the Song of Time :D.
