Konnichiwa.
I poofed for a long while there, didn't I.
Basically, my life is kinda all over the place right now. I dunno if I mentioned this already, but I'm switching my major from biology/environmental sciences to art/illustration. ._.' It's a pretty huge leap, especially considering how I've been doing nothing but fanart for the last...I don't know how many years. And working with no other color medium except for Crayola colored pencils. @_@
So, I have a figure drawing class on Saturdays, a composition and design class on Thursdays, and a tutor on Wednesdays. I also go to a drawing workshop Wednesday nights for more practice drawing clothed models. My three classes all give homework, and my tutor has also suggested I borrow some books from the library about certain artists and examine their work for an idea of how to work in their medium (right now, that means watercolors). On top of all of that, my mom tries to keep me off the computer during the day, and only allows me at most two or so hours online at night to chat with friends.
...obviously this doesn't leave me much time to work on stuff like roleplay posts or even just casual posting in Saying Hi very often anymore...so that'd be where I've been for the last...two or three months... >.o
Since my mom's not in the house right now, I'll go read the RP threads and see if I can thrash something out, 'cause I feel kinda bad that I haven't posted anything at all for much too long.

Hey.
Anywho, Holiday Happenings in our town is tonight! Basically, the streets of downtown are closed to traffic, they have chestnuts roasting on an open fire, the show choir sings carols, stores usually have sales, and they light the town Christmas lights around 6:30. It's just a bunch o fun and I'm excited :)
Also... on Monday, there was an accident before school in my town where a freshman was hit by a car driven by another high schooler. Apparently, her car was so covered in frost she didn't see that the bus had stopped and lights were flashing, 'cos you have to stop even if you're not on the side of the bus, and the girl was hit when crossing the street. A couple days later, a new news article came out and listed the name of the girl in the car (which... she's a minor... you can't do that...) and it was someone I knew and I couldn't believe it...
On a lighter note, meeting with the DI team I'm coaching in a bit! I'm so excited to FINALLY meet the kids! Hopefully, they're tolerable :P
Yesterday, my friend sent my left-handed friend a text saying "Do people discriminate agianst you because you're a lefty?"Kaida wrote:I'm Kaida, and I approve this statement.PoisonWing14 wrote:Only left-handed people are in their right minds!
That's right, we lefty's are the sane ones, its everyone else that's crazy. Mwahahahahahaaaaaa.

Hi! You know, just when I thought the site was working fine again it went down on me for a little while.
But hey, once a week is a lot better than several times a day. Here's hoping it doesn't get that bad again.
Anyway, good luck with your new major, Mandi. If you're ever interested in a fairly serious drawing project let me know, I'm got some ideas I've been toying with...
In other news, my mom and I were looking for more things to fry (cause of Chanukah) so I ended up making fish sticks. They're very simple to make, through rather messy, and came out quite well.

Oh, My little Gar's growing up! I'm so proud! I was getting worried that he'd never find a girlfriend - still wets the bed sometimes, you know - but he finally found someone who'll take him! So? When's the wedding? Are you going to bring grandkids home for me?
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Hi! The Week of Randomness starts tomorrow! I've got some fun ideas for the daily themes so I hope everyone enjoys it. And I hope the site stops going down for me since I still have no idea what's causing the problem... Well, if I still have problems when I'm at my brother's I can at least rule out the ISP.

My dear friends of the Forum of Pebbles, forever long have I waited to express my love for you all. Though the largest of words or actions cannot nearly describe how much I love this forum. We each go a long way back since the day I joined, where I acted like a fool and showed no love to any of you. But no, times have changed between us.
Today, I went for a stroll in the snow. How joyous and gay (happy) it was. Tomorrow, I wish to go along with my wonderful friends, in which we've been for so many years, on another stroll through the snow.

Greetings, magnificent forum friends! Oh, how the wind blows and reminds me of how much I want to talk to you all! But, alas, when I am outside... the computer is not in my short reach! Being unable to speak to you is as sad as me loosing a glove when I was still wearing it.
Not seeing the amazing and witty posts that all my dears here make just drives me into a corner reminding me of depression!
The day was so dark and gray. How I hugged the sun rays whenever the golden ball of happiness shone out of the clouds! But the nightfall is terrifying... not even the brightest of stars can pierce through the eternal black sky. How I'd love to see the moon, as much as I love you, dear Pebble Version.
If only I can stay and chat for a bit longer, but there is something I must do. I hope to see you tomorrow, as much as I'd love to see the sun!

Ah, my beloved companions, my friends in arms... it pains me to say that the fact that this was the Week of Randomness entirely slipped my frail mind! Alas, for today has been the most busy of todays, as I was awoken early to attend church, where I was confirmed before the love of God! After that, I was whisked away by my lovely DI team to attend a meeting, and not long after I found myself swept away back to my church for Advent Workshop! There I did make a lovely gingerbread house and a heavenly wreath that shall be hung on my door for all the suitors that may stop by!
Also, I have come to the lovely decision that I am going to audition for Drama Fest--a lovely one act play that our school does where we complete (lovingly) with other schools for the marvelous chance to move on to higher levels! However, I am required to present two one-minute monologues, which I find myself lacking! If the lovely people on these forums could aid me in locating two contrasting monlogues, post 1950, I would be filled with even more love for them (if that is possible)!
Oh, and congratulatuions, Gar! Are you off to romantic, candlelit dinners? Cozy nights by the fireside? Or, perhaps, a stroll through a glorious, snowy night (which we have not had yet!! Sigh!!)? Ahhh, young love!

Ah, my beloved forum! I need your warm embrace to console me... for today, I have lost a friend. That friend... was my very first cell phone. So tragic was his departing! My Samui! His fate was sealed when a cat knocked him from his high perch... Although he would work just fine, No electrical charge would remain in his tiny body. Thus, by the end of the day, his strength was completely gone. My poor Samui! He was like a brother to me! Pebble Version, my love, I want nothing but to remain in your gentle arms until my sorrow subsides...

Hello my dearest. It pains me to say it but alas, soon the demands of the world will tear me away from your warm embrace. Though Arizona may seem like a far and desolate land, rest assured that we will not be apart for long. Though the journey may be long, I will hold you love in my heart and we be together again through the majesty of the internet once I arrive. I beg you to hold on for the hours we are apart and know that they will be as painful for you as they are for me.

Again, again you draw me into your warm embrace accursed forum that steals my voice to twist my words into this. I am truly forlorn and cursed as I type this, yet I must continue to do so. If only for today. I bid you greetings and goodbye as you welcome me and cast me away the next day. This cannot last much longer and so it shall not. In less then another earthly hour the spirt of my love will pass from this world only to be replaced by one kinder and gentler. Farewell.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
It pains me to admit that I cannot read this thread. I haven't the faithest clue what my love Silver is talking about, or the woeful tales of the far land you call 'Arizona'. I congratulate Gar for his newly found love, and wish for him that it last many moons.
This weekend I partook in a debate meet. The competition is full of heartbreak, with friend turning on friend as you fight for the judge's attention. I also went to a play of the inspiring tale of 'A Christmas Carol.' I yearn for this day to be over, as I grow weary of talking in such a way.

Oh wondrous Cheezdude, thank you for sharing your feelings and allowing me a second declaration of my hateful love for this day. I know all to well your pain of talking in such an endearing way. Hopefully the rise of a golden new sun will heal all of our broken hearts on this saddest of days. I bid you a fond farewell my friend as we enter a shinning new day. May my soul be mended as I bid this last farewell to the manner of speaking that has plagued me this last hour. Truly the romantic way of communicating has left me forever.
