Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hey.
Great to hear, Metal! :D
So, today, I had to go to my annual hockey 5-hour reffing seminar, even though I've gone the past two years.... then I had to book it from there to the on-ice practice since I had the first session, then I booked it to marching band practice to snag the last hour of practice (and they had learned like 5 sets of our last song... kind of improvised those and followed along, but I caught up quick), then jumped back in the car and booked it to PurplePrincess' birthday party, which was a TON of fun. It was me and a bunch of sophomores, most of which I only kinda knew, but it was still a super party :D We just kinda hung out and ate food and ran around and threw frisbees and balls and shoes... great time :) And the food was wicked nommy because her mum is an amazing cook. And she gave us a doggy bag of yummy Indian food. Yummmmmm
Now... I left home at like 7:30 this morning and got back at 8:30.... and... I haven't started homework >.<

Long time no see, Dark Gentleman!
I was feeling a bit tired today so I didn't have the strength to go running for training. Instead, I decided to play some old gameboy games. My mom invited me to watch an Olsen twin movie (which I resisted at first.) It turned out to be pretty good, actually. Did I ever mention how Ashley and Mary Kate are hilarious?
I will say, though, they were much better when they were kids until they reached their twenties.

Hi! Welcome back, DG.
Pikachu, this really isn't the right thread to post giant images in.
Yom Kippur went well. It's not exactly a fun holiday but the service was good.

...Really Pikachu? C'mon man, if you're going to post, 1) keep the pictures to a decent size, 2) put them in the right thread (in this case I'm guessing either Games or Wallpapers maybe?), and 3) at least try to explain why you're posting a gigantic, mostly empty picture of Starcraft...
Been a lazy weekend. Have to do another resume run tomorrow. Also, I got the new Sony Pocket Reader on friday! It's crazy awesome, the fastest one I've seen so far (and I've demoed a bunch while I was researching them). Gonna be a total Sony fanboy and leave this link here if anyone is interested!
I also went to see Machete with a bunch of friends, besides the all-star cast [Trejo, Seagal, DeNiro, Alba, Rodriguez (who is a totally amazing actress), Lohan, etc] and entertaining fight scenes, it actually has a really good storyline too! Definitely worth a watch - if you're into that sort of movie that is

O hai! Yesterday I had an awesome birthday party with some of my friends. There was pizza and ice cream cake, and afterwards we watched Escape From New York. Fun times!

Heso! Deleted Pikachu's post because it was annoying.
In other news... well, Pokemon Black. That's what I've been doing... and a bit of Harvest Moon. Just got "Hero of Leaf Valley" for the PSP. It's a remake of Save the Homeland, the PS2 game, which would have been my favorite except for the constant time resets and people forgetting you and lack of a marriage system. Which, apparently, has all been fixed in this one. Plus there's a better mining system, better fishing system, more crops, 7 new possible endings, some new characters... Yeah. The PS2 game, which I liked except for a few flaws... done right. Finally PSP's getting some attention again! I pretty much haven't touched it since Disgaea... too bad Pokemon's going to completely overshadow it.

"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Hi! The PSP has plenty of good games. Not as many as the DS, for sure, but between the Metal Gears, Square Enix games (Birth by Sleep is turning out to be pretty awesome, BTW), and Nippon Ichi games I've never really had a lack of games to play on it.
In other news, Car Washer is a finalist in the Intel Level Up contest! So is Spell Dancer, another one of my game designs, except I declined the nomination for it (not sure why it's still listed) since I realized that there's no way I'd be able to get a high quality demo done by the deadline. I kind of doubt Car Washer will win, but it's cool that it's a finalist.

Ironically, that... pretty much sums up my collection. I've got Disgaea, Dissidia, and Portable Ops... although I haven't touched that one yet since I haven't finished the other Metal Gears. I suppose there are plenty of good games, but... every time I go to Gamestop and look at the PSP section I can't help but think, "This is all crap, ports, and spin-offs!"

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! Actually, I have noticed that the PSP section at most stores kinda sucks. There are a lot of good games...they can just be rather hard to find if you don't shop online. Crisis Core FFVII, Birth by Sleep, and FF Tatics are amazing and all the Metal Gears are great (on that note, Portable Ops and Peace Walker should be played after MGS3, but can be played before or after MGS4, while the Ac!d games can be played whenever since they don't tie into the main story). There's also Nippon Ichi, Atlus, and XSeed's stuff (though about half of them are ports) and some good PS1 games available for download from the PSN store. I've also heard a lot of good things about Patapon and Locoroco, though I haven't gotten around to trying them yet.
