(-OOC I suppose I'm just used to dealing with an older, more experienced english speaking crowd. What you call creativity wouldn't be acceptable in any other rping situation I've seen. Getting creative means that if you do an attack, you take the time to make it look like more than just <pidgey uses gust> Being creative means writing at least [pidgey rose up and began flapping his wings fiercely to send a gust of wind at his opponent] That is what is called being creative in all the places I RP. Trying to make the story itself change direction to suit your whims is generally considered an insult to the writer. If its something small, like stopping at a shop or something like that, it makes sense. But adding plot devices that actually make the entire RP change is rude. And we're waiting for posts from the rest of the crew, like shauni and such. Wouldn't be such a big deal but I see posts happening from said people in other threads, which shows a lack of interest as opposed to being busy. But all of that aside, I'm also really not used to the spelling issues, but I'll chalk that up to either age or ESL. If you people want to continue with this said, I'll do it, if not...so be it /OOC-)

((Well if you don't like how we rp then fine, you might as well not continue this. If this is all it's gonna be I am DEFINITELY dropping out right now! We're trying to have SOME fun here, so if you want to do your Fancy-shmancy, no-nonsense, no-fun, one-person-only rps do them somewhere else. Or better yet, write fanfiction, because judging by that last post, you don't want us involved. Oh, and when have I made spelling errors?))

((I agree 100% with Silver, people stop writing cos the RP stops getting interesting. As for the ROM RP, it might have plot devices and the like but multiple writers and player imput on Plot keeps it fresh, we are on ROM three after all. and RPs do not and should not have a writer persay, writers mean fanfics or storys, not RPs, after all, is it not ROLE PLAYER? Meaning interactive? You can get situations and sercomstances, but forcing people to mold themselfs around a predetermand rout is boring. I'm dropping out of this RP, its not run anymore. Aslo, I am dyslexic, everyone here already knows that, if your spelling grip was at me
As for being insultive to you, well I was not being, you should have written a rule that said only follow what YOU write))

(-OOC Well Josiah or whoever go ahead and lock this up and throw away the key. *sigh* Some people really don't know how to discuss things. Can there truly be no statement of intent and impressions without flaring up and tantrums?

I do want to clear this up though: An RP can have a writer when the outcome is already scripted, I did try to say that I don't mind changes to the path, as long as the story didn't suddenly drasticly become something else...What good would it be if somehow through changes this became an RP about bellsprouts or the like. Feh...the point is, all the way to it's roots, Role playing has always had someone in the background that pointed which direction the RP is going, that person being the one whom had the idea for what is going on and what they want the end result to be or at least the general area of it. It's never the rout that is fixed, just the destination, whatever happens when you get there is anybody's guess, plans or not.

As was noted, obviously I prefer a touch more seriousness and quality than is common here, so I shall take the blame for even attempting this here. And just to clarify, I say none of this in anger, nor intent to insult nor anything else I have said. I simply make a calm observation on a pattern and sit back and wait.

Obviously I had no clue that anyone had a learning disorder and could hardly try and take it in consideration without that knowledge. My stepfather suffers from the same thing, according to him all you have to do is slow down and reread what you just wrote before sending out emails or whatever.(using spellchecker in another program helps too) His letters to me are always fine.*shrug* I'm not preaching or anything, just passing on what I recall him telling me about the situation a long time ago.

Silver...really, you should try and calm down, like you said...this is all about having fun, why get mad over it? We may have fun in different ways, but there is no cause to get angry...if it isn't working out, you simply stop and try something different...don't let it get to you, that's when the music stops.

Maybe I'll take Golden sun's advice and try this again later, after the concept of such RPing styles has had a chance to become less new and scary. Until then all I can say as despite it's quirks, chapter one was fun, though different. I had hoped for similar with chapter two (with a few kinks getting ironed out.) Too bad that didn't happen, but I have no hard feelings closing the book on this experiment, afterall, sometimes they fail. /OOC-)

Im sorry if I sounded mean....I wrote it at 8 am, and I was tired and iritable, reading it back made it sound a little nasty, not what i intened. Stick around Gebura, post on some other bored, maybe also next time post some rules on your RP telling us how to play it so we dont mis-understand each other, and as for my disorder, well, part of what your dad said is true, but if I cant spell something and the spell checker has no idea what it is the spelling is so bad, it gets frustrating, also, I do most of my posting when i'm at work, so I need to be quick, seeing as i'm supposed to be working, so sometimes I dont have time to check em. Please, why not join one of the others RPs here and see the way we RP, then maybe you will see if your RP is suited to us, who knows, you might even like some asspects of it, after all, we are all real people at the end of the day with different ways of doing things and can learn from each other, I for one would like to see all the different monsters you drew, mayne post em in the art forum? i'd like to look.

And yes, please do make more RPs, your ideas are very orginal and more interesting than 'so and so goes to Prof insert name here to get there first pokemon, and there where late'

((oh,and call me minum.its what everyone else calls me :thumbs up: but yeah,i saw this topic and thought it wouldn't be special.i saw chapter two and saw what i missed.or mabye it was because the rps were moving way to fast for me.cause when i come back there was nearly 2 more pages of RP...but yeah,this is a cool RP,and i'd like to try it if it comes back.and if you dissapear,i'll start it.but for now,

((Well, it's true that our most popular RPs here are more open in nature. Speaking as someone who has had experience with both types, they each have pros and cons. It's just good to say what type of RP you're making when you start it. As for spelling, well the forums don't have a spell checker but most people here are pretty good when it comes to that.

Stick around though, Gebura. I like both types of RPs and you certainly do good job of setting up the story.

One comment though. When you were talking about creativity, I don't know where you RP but that just isn't the right definition. Doing something like 'pidgy rose into the air and flapped its wings wildly, creating a powerful gust' is being descriptive and can demonstrate good writing skills but it's not creative. Descriptive does not equal creative. Sorry, as a writer I just felt the need to clarify that.

Now, if there are no more comments, I'll lock the thread.))

(-OOC I suppose the truest deffinition of creativity would be in how the attack was used as opposed to what it looked like, but in the needs of the conversation I substituted and/or combined the two seeing as in many cases they run hand in hand, but I do concede the point. Creative in my truest eye would be that same pidgey using just to rotate a turbine in order to generate electricity for a damaged pokemon center. Now go for it...close her up! I'll see what I can do about trying out this open stuff, but as I said in the begining...it feels very strange and at times wrong. /OOC-)
