I think furries are pretty nifty. They look cool, generally. Well, though I must say I like more subtle furries, like the ones with just ears and tails and such. Kinda fun to draw. Though, I draw more winged characters than furries. Wings are teh coolz.

Furies even appear where you wouldn't expect it. Take Mabinogi, for example. When you become a Champion you get wings.

well, ROM the comic has alot of furrys in it, so I guess my opinion on them is clear. I really like to draw animal features on human like characters, but I think just adding ears or a tail shouldn't count. It just seems to easy to do that and call the character a furry. Furry's should look like animals.

((Jeff isn't a furry for example in my opinion, he is a human with cat ears. Simeon or Moen would be furrys by this definition, as would silver.))

Wings do not make a furry.

It's possible to have a furry fetish without being a furry.

Wings don't make a human, either. And... who's to say that under that armor there's not loads of feathers? In other Paladin stages there's oddly-colored fur coming out between the plates of the armor... I always wondered if it was because they're furies of some sort. But anyway... getting off-topic so I'll end my statement.

I've noticed that television commercials often have furies in them. Like... those Fabreeze commercials, for example, and... the Gieco gecko. Whether a lot of people like them or dislike them, they do appear in commercials often... often as advertising icons.

Well, an origin of furries of which I am aware of is "cartoon animals." In fact, that is one alternate name for a furry, that is a drawn one. These were the less controversial furries in Aesop's Fables, and more popularly, Donald Duck and Bugs Bunny and their similars. In truth, anthropomorphs (the official name) have been around in many mythologies since the dawn of humanity. Now they are not gods, but they are usually comical figures, and comical figures make for good comercials. Plus, for some reason, animals are more amiable than nasty humans. That's why the "hang in there" poster has a kitten on it, not a baby.
