As Evrona began to move, Kai followed nonchalantly along with the group. She glanced around at the trees, focusing on nothing in particular. But her mind went came back to her previous questions concerning the dwarf. Spotting the cloaked figure that served as her shelter, Kai walked near until the dwarf came into her vision.
Hi. I'm Mano'kai. She stated. Her expression was neither friendly or hostile. It was rather blank, but with a hint of curiosity.I have not seen another dwarves around here, or in my life in fact. So, are you traveling far from home?

"Oh hello. Er... yeah I haven't seen any of the kin (er, I mean dwarves, that is) for quite a few years. I guess I'm pretty far from home seeing as I have no idea where I am..." She paused.
"But then I've never really had a home either," she continued. "I was orphaned at birth and learned some blacksmithing and whatnot from the village blacksmith, where I was found... but that's enough about me. What're you?" she asked, not unkindly.

I'm a mermaid. Mano'kai responded. I'm far from home as well, but I'm not lost, as I have no particular place to which I am going.
But I know that place will have a source of water.
She added silently as she again repressed her body's plea to be removed from dry land.
Hoping to help take her mind off of it, she continued her conversation with the dwarf. So you are a blacksmith. What weapons do you specialize in? I can see you have an attraction to swords. She nodded her head in the direction of Wodahny's weapon, not looking at Wodahny directly.

Kagetsuki, after flying for abit, soon caught sight of the group. It had grown slightly since he had heard about it. He spotted the Angles in the sky and started to head that way. For now he wanted to watch. Once he got closer he'll take to them.

After walking for some time, Evrona came to a halt. "Alright, so who here wants to go with me into the elven settlement?" she inquired to the group. "No angels--I'm not budging on that one. Wouldn't want you snooty-faces to cause any trouble."

"First Wing Boy, now snooty-face..." Gil mumbled to himself with a shake of his head. "What have I gotten myself into..."

"Well since Kauka here appears to have voted herself out, I could go," Wodahny mused, glancing at the blue-haired mermaid.Kauka herself at the moment had managed to get distracted by a nearby bird, standing stock-still and listening to its song with a happy smile on her face. Wodahny looked away. "I don't know if the elves will take offense to my being armed, though."

"I'm sure they'd understand that times aren't exactly the best for members of any species to wander about without some means of self-defense," Iah pointed out. He didn't appear insulted by Evrona's choice of nickname for angels.

"Okay yeah, there's that..." Wodahny sighed and bent down, gently tugging her weapon free of Inha's grip while taking care not to accidentally injure the dwarf with the blade. "I might need this back; you can continue looking at it later, alright?"

"Sure," Inha replied quickly to her 'shade'. "I don't know if I should go... dwarves aren't always the most accepted race but we do seem to remain pretty neutral among races... it's up to you, I guess," she directed at Evrona.
She then turned to the mermaid again. "Mermaid? Where's your tail? And I don't really specialize in much anything. Anything someone might need fixing, I'll learn about. Although my own weapon of choice is probably my daggers." Upon saying so, she happily patted the small curved daggers hanging from her belt.

Mano'kai was slightly irked at the dwarf's question. Hm. Wouldn't you know it. The one topic I was trying to avoid...oh well.
Addressing the dwarf, she said: Mermaid are able to walk on land like other races. Those whose spirits are more attached to magic may keep the form longer, while crafters cannot go without water for long. She paused a bit to see if what she had said made sense. When she was satisfied, she bent down to examine the daggers. They're nice. She said, nodding. I like them.
Mano'kai then turned to Evrona. I will go to the settlement. She stated.
Having said her fill, she turned to contemplation. This person is very agitated. This must be important. I should ask what exactly we are doing...perhaps later. Her mood isn't ideal right now.

Zlli was wondering what was going on as a small group stayed behind and the rest went into the village. She was also wondering if anyone noticed her, but at least she kept her distance of over half a mile away. She was just interested in this group that were traveling about. Something about elves, but to her, every kind was not good, nor bad, but she didn't like either one. Her thoughts were confusing to figure out, but Zlli just ignored it and continued to watch the group. But to keep up with the group that went into the village, she had to get closer.

Taking steps to the left and forward, she was able to keep her distance from the small group and keep another eye on the other group. She just wish no one would find her, or she would be unhappy. This was so exciting for her to be like a thief. Ready and willing to hunt and go for the kill. At least that, and she would be all in black, without the tail shaped like a heart, and features that didn't go with anything normal. I wished she wasn't a half-demon, but life is life, can't change that, Zlli thought to herself.

"A small party should be fine I'd prefer it even... " Evrona said, mumbling the last few words under her breath, but just loud enough for everyone else to hear. "You can come, short stuff, if you want to," she added, looking at Inha. "Dwarves generally have a good reputation for being neutral. You guys are just obsessed with your rocks and making pointy stuff with them. Other races kinda don't care one way or the other 'bout you folk."

"Make sure to get some supplies while you're there, as well as a map," Gil said with a frown. "I'd be happy to pay you back for any purchase you make, unforutuneatly, I wasn't quite prepared to go on an adventure today so--"

"Yeah, yeah, quit your blabbering," Evrona grumbled with a roll of her eyes. Gilantias looked offended, but kept his mouth shut. "Well, we're off, set up camp, or just do something to make this lovely patch of earth a bit more... home-like." With that, Evrona headed toward a forested area.

((So, it's Evrona, Inha and Mano'kai going to the settlement, unless someone else wants their character to tag along.))

(I was intending to send Wodahny in, but that's fine. Maybe she saw sense in what Gareth said and decided to stay behind also. Or she's feeling self-conscious about her missing arm.)

Grumbling slightly, Wodahny seated herself on a large rock outcropping. "Didn't I see you earlier today?" she asked of Kagetsuki. "I seem to recall you flew off shortly after Gil here revealed my position-"

A delighted squeal from behind Wodahny made her wince and cut herself off. Kauka was, predictably, thrilled to see the newcomer. "A griffin!" she exulted. "I've never seen one of those before!" Before anyone could stop the reckless mermaid, she had run up to Kagetsuki and was beaming up at his beak. "I'm Kauka! Nice to meet you, Mr. Griffin." She paused. "I don't suppose you could shake hands? Since you have paws and stuff."

Wodahny rolled her eyes and glanced at Iah, who was standing nearest her. "One of these days she's gonna go running up like that to something hostile and get mauled," she muttered. The angel made no reply. He was busy sending glassy, ribbon-like strands of air among the trees. Shortly afterward, he gently reeled the strands back in. The other end of each was wrapped around a recently cut branch of dead wood.

"Does anyone know how to start a fire with these?" he asked, placing the branches into a stack at the center of the clearing. "Not much sun makes it past the foliage here, and perhaps some of us are more accustomed to well-lighted areas."

Gareth watched curiously. "Well, seeing as you haven't eaten or harmed Kauka, you must not be some wild beast... otherwise you would have reacted to her," Gareth said to the griffin.

Glancing up, Zlli saw that this part of the trees were well hidden in dark, and she decided to get closer to the group. Slowly getting closer and closer, Zlli was about 300 feet away from the group standing under the trees and giant rocks on their sides. Just as she was to take cover, a griffin flew in and landed. Great, that is just perfect, Zlli thought as she had to stay where she was or be spotted like a creature in plan sight. Even if she couldn't move, Zlli had to keep quiet because griffin's also had good hearing and they also knew if danger was around. Well, she could do anything but if she had to, Zlli would turn into a Undead Black Dragon and fly as fast as possible.

But she had to get down when the griffin was distracted with the group activities. That might take awhile and Zlli could stay in the position that she was in.
