Mirari

It was an artifact that was sought by all kinds of creatures. To even set eyes on it was enough to corrupt even the purest minds. It became a coveted item. People wandered the world searching for it, only to pass away without little but a clue.

But one planeswalker found it. Though, it wasn't a good thing that he did. You see, this certain planeswalker was a master of Black magic, specializing in corruption.

Now he wanders the world, using its mighty power to corrupt the world, shaping it the way he wants.

There is one way to stop him. A planeswalker must wander the world and gather mana from all the mana sources, and master the art of all 5 colors of mana.

Agorg stood upon the dragon roost he called home. He looked out onto the nearby city, Vesrikra. For years, he and the dragons watched over the city, protecting it from invaders.

Though, all defenses break some time...

Maiev sat on her workbench, goggles down, crafting the most basic of artifacts, the ornithopter.

She sighed and leaned back in her chair, wiping the sweat from her brow. Though, she was covered in oil from head to toe. She turned to her 'partner' across the way on the other table. Slobad. "I think this is almost done."

Tal cracked the nightmare lash, attempting to hit a daughtie jackal. The beast growled as the lash struck its paw. "You're not going to take a bite out of me.", he said as the beast lunged at him. With another swift crack of the lash, the beast fell to the ground in a spray of blood. Tal didn't spare a second glance at the corpse as he turned to look at the structure in the distance. He could just barely identify it as the Vault of Whispers, the fortress of the warlord Geth, current ruler of Mephidross. "Some day... I will gain entrance...", Tal said.

A roar pierces the air as a bear is pinned under the green mass of a thallid devourer. Smiling, Kethis walks towards the two creatures and brushes his hand against the thallid. "Yes...this breed is exactly what's needed." he thinks to himself. Walking to the front of the thallid, he stares darkly past the ancient trees to where he knows dark waters and rotting trees threaten to appear deeper inside the forest. "One day, I'll rid my forest of this swampy plague that haunts these kind trees, even if its the last thing I do..."

Slobad was also at a bench, but he was much less neat looking-he was using a hammer to repetitively beat something barely resembling the beginnings of a goblin cannon. {{http://ww2.wizards.com/gatherer/CardDet ... ?&id=48215}}

"Finish or wreck, I don't care. I make this. First piece almost done. Many more to come." he muttered at a near-incoprehensible speed.

The peaceful citizens of Vesrikra were going about their day, happily. The ground began to rumble as cracks began to appear in the ground.

Agorg lifted a brow, kneeling down and grabed his No-dachi, whistling for one of his dragons. He climbed upon its back, and flew down to the town.

Maiev lifted the last piece with her tongs, goggles at full zoom, leaning in closely, and carefully trying to put the piece in. Suddenly, the ground rumbled, and the ornithopter fell apart. She stopped moving, and slamms her hands on the table, raising her goggles.

"Every time!" She cried out. He sighed, grabbing a few spellbombs and chromatic stars., heading outside.

Tal went on alert as he began to feel tremors in the damp earth beneath his feet. Deep fissures ripped through the ground, disturbing the swamp waters and causing many dead trees to fall or crumble. The shaking was so intense that Tal was cast off of his feet and into the shallow edge of one of the swamp pools. He glared as he regained himself, now covered in thick slime and moss water. "All right... Someone is going to pay for this...", he muttered, getting to his feet and cleaning his form off as best as he could manage.

A deep rumble passes through the forest, causing Kethis to fall over. Slowly standing up, he looks around and sees a tree that was just starting to get sick from the plague had fallen over. "No..." Anger flashed along his face. "Anything that hurts my precious forest is an enemy." He jumps on the back of his Thallid Devourer. "Let's go find out what happened. It felt like it was coming from around the mountains!" he shouts as the Devourer charges through the forest towards Vesrika and the surrounding mountainside.
