I understand, but, uh, can someone clean up the mess Atma just made?
I feel for you. Someone pretending to be a different gender is, well, can be, just wrong. I've known a few people who do it and are just fine.....
Anyways, sorry for the trouble with Aelita. Feel for you man.
Avast!

Meep. Methinks I wouldn't feel clean after hearing it...if I got the meaning of 'graphic' right.

Jambo! Wow, this topic is 400 pages long...
One of Laura's friends says she's a guy on neopets... a gay one, but still. She's not completely... ok that would be lying. She says I look like a giraffe.
And Opal, I don't know what happened, nor do I WANT to, but it sounds really crappy none the less.
Huh... I have enough English homework to fry an egg, and I had to watch this movie about 'the man whose arms exploded' in health class (Now THAT was nasty... I swear, if anyone even considers using steriods after watching THAT...) but I suppose it wasn't an worse than a normal day at Hell High School...

"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

No physical contact, but she did show me her picture, so it would be hard to beleive. Not to mention she told me her real name. So right now, I'm kinda in the gray. On one hand she could be a ratfink liar that played me for a fool. Or she could be innocent and it really is her cousin just sneaking on and I just don't know what to beleive until I get word from her again.Celebifly wrote: Well, did you have any physical contact? 'Man that's really crappy!'
But I can't because it's a little graphic....
Meep. Hi.
I hope it's the latter, because I don't want to be alone again.
I was noting that Silver was being a jerk.Ibun wrote: EDIT 2: I don't care if Pokchu comes back. Heck I wasn't even here when he left, so I don't know what 'bad blood' he has with others. But if he is going to start trouble like he did in the past couple of pages, then we shall have a problem.
Then his cousin flamed me.
Then I stated that people's signatures were too big, and the quality of the comic had been deteirerating.
Then I was accused of flaming everything.

And then you said we were full of ourselves.
And then you called us childish.
*waits for pokchu to see the light* a hypocrite, maybe I am, but an idiot I most certainly am not.
Okay, so that's a bit out of order, but it's still true.

I meant the general theme of the forum; but then again, that was probably a step too far from my real opinion.
I didn't call you an idiot.

Well excuse me! I should have known better than to attempt to use humor around the supreme logic of pokchu. <_<

Hiya.
Ah yes, the complexities of online relationships. It's a tricky subject, isn't it? Unfortunately, this is the kind of thing that you always need to be wary of. People sometimes just aren't who they claim to be. It can be extremely disheartening.
Okay, so, worst case scenario. It is some jerk who's just messing with your head. This would, understandably, be more than a little depressing. And, since saying "just get over it" would not only be bad advice, but also incredibly rude and hurtful, I'll say this: don't get too upset if that's the case. It may seem like the worst thing in the world at the time, but time heals all wounds. Chalk it up to experience, and learn from it. Don't get bitter or distrustful, just... understand that it can happen, accept it, and move on.
However. As I said, that's the worst case scenario. It is possible that her cousin really did get on her computer. Talk to her, weigh the evidence, and make a decision. It may turn out that your fears are for naught. In which case, hooray, you're in the clear.
...I do feel like I need to say this though. Internet relationships don't usually... well, they're generally doomed from the start. Now, yes, sometimes it does work out, and the couple gets to meet, and they live happily ever after. More often than not, though, it eventually falls apart. I guess what I'm trying to say is not to put too much stock into online relationships. If you can somehow make it work, however, then by all means, go for it.
One final thing. Don't think that being 'alone' is always a bad thing. Simply looking for someone to be with just for the sake of being in a relationship is usually not a good idea. I know this may sound a bit corny, but being alone can be a fantastic opportunity to find out about yourself. Evaluate your life, decide what's really important to you. And then, maybe, go out and find a significant other if you still feel so inclined. But try not to fret over it too much.
I hope I don't sound like I'm preaching. I'm really not trying to tell you how to think or how to live your life. That's just my take on it, and I'm sure you have your own. I guess, ultimately, the best advice I can give is this:
Don't worry too much. Everything works out in the end.
...
Now, then. Everyone...
I don't usually get involved in this kind of thing, but I think I need to say something. This recent jump in hostile activity is, to be honest, rather depressing. Pokchu, I'm not going to flame you, or call you names, or even judge you at all. But you do seem to be... well, looking for trouble, to be honest. You are entitled to your own opinion, of course. Absolutely. You are allowed to not like the comic, the forum, or anyone who posts here. But if you do sign in and voice these thoughts, you have to expect opposition from those of us who do like this place. That's just the way the world works; people defend what they like, and bash what they don't.
I'm not going to put the blame all on you, though. I have seen several instances of people egging you on, being hostile right back, and we should all know better. Two wrongs don't make a right, as it goes. Please, everyone, don't respond when you're angry. Sit back for a few minutes if you have to, and think before you type. Reckless responses will only lead to more and more flames.
I've said this before, but I think I'll repeat it now. I like this place. And you know why? Because 99% of the time, there are no flames. For the most part, everyone is nice to each other. That is an unbelievable rarity. That's probably why I keep coming back. I know I'm not really one of the major posters, and most of the time my posts aren't even that interesting. But this is the only forum, ever, that I've stayed at as long as I have. C'mon, folks. I know we're better than this. Let's just put all of that anger and irritation behind us, let bygones be bygones. Let's not talk about the previous flaming anymore. Start fresh.
To use a favorite phrase of mine... can't we all just get along?
...Please?

I never said you were. And if I did, it was after a mod said you were. And heres the thing aobut mods.
They define flaming. If you say something, even if it's "IO live in a house" and they say it's flaming, then that goes. Yes, it's an odd example, but it's sort of true. You have no right to dissaggree with mods. I aggree, we should stop arguing. However, I'm making sur you know the parameters within we operate here. Josiah and Shauni already warned you for flaming, or at least pointless insulting, which *in my opinion* are the same thing. Hence, you must have been flaming, or insulting without a reason. I don't want anyone banned. So, don't do anything to get yerself in trouble, eh pokchu?

And even if I did toss out an insult or two, it's all the standard 'eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth' thing.
But since Silver meant to be joking, then that's cleared up.

Baboon, never. ever. post that much again.
Ok, well, seems like no one here is getting along, aka; Stevenson and Pokchu. This is excatly like what happened at lunch between two guys, and this is how Sean settled it...
