Hi! Unfortunately, Kickstarter isn't quite that easy (said from personal experience). I mean, if she happened to have the same name as some old video game designer or something then it would probably work. But she doesn't and, according to the rules, Kickstarter projects have to be for the purpose of creating something. "Support my life" type projects aren't allowed. Fortunately, 3DS's aren't all that expensive.

ALSO Fire Emblem is one of my favourite series ever and I am so crushed that I can't play Awakening because I don't own a 3DS. I've played every English FE (excluding Awakening) and some Japanese ones. I am also crushed that I cannot play New Leaf for the same reason I cannot play Awakening.
There seems to be an obvious solution to your problem

If its the expense, try to look on Ebay for a preloved one. I'm sure you could find something in your price range eventually.

Fire Emblem is good though, so you won't be wasting your money on it. Then you will have a 3DS for Pokemon X and Y too.

Moi,

Ah...New York. Twenty minutes ago, it was sunny and humid out, now there's thunder n' lightning and it's down-pouring. So hard in fact, I can barely see outside. Lovely, isn't it?
Also, some higher-up guys in my lovely county thought that it was a great idea to have a good portion of the main North-South roads have road work done on them, thus causing traffic jams galore. Well...this is why, around me at least, there are, pretty much, two main seasons: snow and road work.

Yeah, so, enough about my amazing town. I haven't been doing much, though this week and next, I'll be going to summer classes at a college near me, RIT. I'll be learning about stuff like basic programming, animation, and other things. So, yeah, that should be fun, and, if not, it'll at least keep me occupied for a bit.

So...yeah, that's about it. Stay radical people. Peace off!

Hey.

Or, y'know, wait for a birthday or something.

But they're both freaking awesome and you won't be disappointed~
I mean, I DO have a job... but I just bought my shiny new keyboard that, despite the fact that my folks are covering part of the cost as a late Christmas/birthday present, still leaves me out $600 what with paying for the board itself along with a stand and a chair, not to mention the nice headphones (so that I can play the pianos at all hours!) I've yet to purchase and I have to deal with paying for rent in the fall and it's really only those two games I'm dying to get (still haven't played Pokemon Black and White... eheheh). I shall have to consider for some time yet.

ALSO POISON I was at RIT for a conference a few months ago! WE WERE SO CLOSE YET SO FAR

The UK has gone and gotten one of those rare heatwaves everyone else seems to get all the time....so very hot. Not complaining, got air-con at work and its a nice change from rain.

Hi! I wish Japan's summer break times matched up with the US. I mean, I still have fun doing stuff by myself, but it'd be nice to do more with friends. Unfortunately, the friends I have here in Japan are usually busy with either school or work (or working in school, in the case of the ALTs).

When I was in Japan I noticed kids in uniform going to school every day, even Saturday and Sunday. Even in the UK I don't think we have club activates on a weekend were you have to ware the uniform. Poor kids

Hi! Classes are limited to Mon - Fri, along with Sat morning for some schools. Though there are occasional special events on weekends as well. As for clubs, they can meet as often as every day (depending on the club), though I don't if they can really require the members to wear uniforms on weekends. Maybe if the meeting is on school grounds...

All I know is that is was Sunday morning in Kyoto and school girls where dressed in uniform heading for the station with an adult, they looked pre-teen. It was like 7 or 8am as well, so I'm guessing it was school related. TBF they didn't look depressed so it may have been a nice reason like you said, an event or fair or something.

Moi,

So...anyone else experiencing a major heat wave? For the past week my area has gotten highs of at least 90 F every day. For someone who's gotten use to cooler weather from living in the NE all their life, this is horrible. The worst thing is, around here, we don't get dry heat, no sir-ee. We have humid heat. The kind of heat where you feel like you can't breathe. The kind of heat that makes stepping outside to get the paper feel like walking into an oven...
But, enough of my lovely local weather. I'll move onto my recent going-ons.

I'm still taking those summer classes at RIT I was talking about. Quite fun so far. I've made a few walk cycles in Photoshop (2/3's of which are skateboarding tricks), written quite a bit of code in Adobe Flash, and am working on making a short, simple flash game. Should be interesting, though coding it so far has been a bunch of trial and error. Hopefully by Friday I'll have a short, though working, game.

Well, that's all I have for now. I'm going to get some water and do...something. Something not outside.

Stay radical, people! Peace off!

Edit: Oh, I also got my hair trimmed for the first time in...well, I can't even remember...let's say, a long time. I only got a inch or so taken off though, so it's barely noticeable...and still absurdly long...Yup.

Hi! Less than a week left here in Japan. It's been fun! Wish I could stay longer (or at least didn't have to return to work in less than a month), but that's the way things go. And it'll be nice to have larger place to stay, get caught up on TV shows, and all that.

My Kigu I won back in March has finally turned up, with only two days to spare before the Manchester Comic Con. i'll post some pictures of it tomorrow.

I know what you mean about Japan, I'd go back again in a heart beat if I could afford it and could get the time off work LOL

Hi! Flying back to the US tomorrow. I'm gonna miss Japan, though in some ways it'll be good to get back.

Hi all, life is being busy lately. Work, and Uni started otday, had a friend staying with us for the past month while she finds a job and home, both of which she's done. Helping her move today. I have cosplay to work on too, really great timeing Uni wise because I'm doing my first textiels uni this semester.
Also I need a new keboard, some of the keys don't work, and it likes to spaz out randomly.

Oh and I'm housing a Japanese student for 12 days, he's coming over as part of a student exchange trip. The school I did my prac at needed more familys to host the students so we volunteerd. He gets here in two weeks. Soooo Excited.

Also FE Awakening is amazing. Nuff said.
Redback, Funnel-Web, Blue-ringed octopus
Taipan, Tigersnake and a Box jellyfish
Stonefish and the poison thing that lives in a shell

Here are some photos of the Kigu I won back in March for this entry http://shauni-chan.deviantart.com/art/S ... -357644888 into the Ni No Kuni Design a familiar contest. I ware it a comic con in Manchester for a while, but due to a heat wave in the UK at the time I had to take it off. Thank you very much Bandi Namco and the Kigu company that made it!
