After years of absence...

I return.

Oh! You wanna know how I'm doing? Well I managed to get my own webcomic up. It's gotten fairly popular (I know. I'm shocked too). Also been going through a few rough patches here and there, but nevermind that. I'm back, and need to re-establish my reputation as the local troublemaker.

MAAARLEEEEEY! Look what you've done! LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE!

You've activated your skills as a necromancer and revived a zombie under your command! And now he's going to wreak havoc on our forums. I hope you're happy!

Coincidentally, I'm not sure if this should disqualify you from the bonus challenge... or give you an automatic victory for your success. can you write another one for Shadowman and hope it has the same effect? Because that would make this much more interesting.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Hey.

Atma! Good to see you, dude. Hope life's been good to you since you last were around.

It's early and I should get back to getting ready for class, so I think I'll go do that. Ughhhh sleep why must you elude me

Wha? Necroman-NO! I'm here of my own volition. Marley has no control over anything except Owen Wilson. And no. Bringing Shadowman back would not make this much more interesting.

Better than ever actually. I have become popular outside of this forum.

Don't ask me how. Even I'm baffled at it.

THAT HAPPENED TO ME, TOO it's like what?! Apparently my particular brand of bad-joke making, loud voice-ness, general shouting and slight social awkwardness is a recipe for making friends in the Cornell marching band. Like what? You mean to say I'm NOT a social outcast and that I'm instead regarded as a generally well-liked person? That's a joke, right? Must be. No other way about it.

Hi! Welcome back, Atma!

So at work, it has beenr revealed that I need an advisory comittee for my program. It's some sort of government regulation (state school and all). Naturally, I wasn't told this until the last minute. Also, the school is still working out their rules for how exactly those comittees are supposed to work. Despite that, I need to try and get something together and have a meeting before the end of the semester. The other problem, it needs to be made up of local people and north central Florida isn't exactly a hotbed of game development. I may have to resort to asking a manager from the nearest Gamestop. -.-

Hey.

So recently I haven't been feeling listening to music with words. Been listening to everything from dubstep to video game music to classical stuff to marching band arrangements to some of my old concert band pieces. Oh, and LOTS of Gustav Holst, because that guy is freaking brilliant and why did the BRMB have to do a show where we played Jupiter LAST YEAR when I wasn't here yet I WANNA PLAY JUPITER and OUR RECORDING SOUNDS SO COOL and WHY do we no longer play our our arrangement of Mars because I know being in 5/4 is difficult and everything BUT IT'S MARS and here is some more PERIODIC CAPS LOCK

Also, Stravinsky's Firebird suite. At least we play that one in marching band BUT NOT IN PEP BAND SO I HAVEN'T PLAYED IT SINCE FALL AND I WANNA.

Wah. Also missing Agincourt Hymn from concert band last year and 1812 Overture never ceases to be badass.

And I should be doing homework while listening to the music but somehow all I end up doing is conducting and getting judgemental stares from my dormmates IT'S NORMAL I SWEAR

Edit: God, 3:00-5:00 in Jupiter is so very beautiful.

I got a job? Target Canada... I'm part of the machine now. I am the guy who asks you if you need help finding anything. For $11.50 an hour, why the hell not?

www.sledisland.com oh my god oh my god oh my god The Jesus and Mary Chain and Swans and Explosions in the Sky ahhh

I'm reading Kurt Vonnegut's biography which is made up entirely of letters written by him to others to outline his life. It's at once really interesting and really creepy to be privy to that stuff. Everyone, name your favourite 'classic' novel. I've got to go with Gatsby, myself.

Moi,

Wow, what happened while I was gone? I was barely gone for a day, and suddenly, people!

Uh, yeah, so...hi to anyone that is returning after being gone a while...and stuff.

So, you know what I find annoying? People who misuse or mix up references. Especially references that I get. For example, today in my math class, my teacher said something along the lines of "Make it so, Obi-Wan." After hearing that, I, the quiet kid who normally speaks not much louder then a whisper, spoke up and corrected him with "Actually, the phrase 'Make it so' is what Captain Picard from Star Trek: The Next Generation used to say. He normally said this to Commander Riker, or as he used to call him, "number one"." After saying that, my teacher realized his mistake, thanked me for doing so, and a guy who sits somewhat close to me gave me a fist-bump. I don't really care that I gave away the fact that I'm a total nerd, it felt so awesome to correct someone about something like Star Trek and they actually understand what I was talking about.

Actually, today was a pretty good day in general. Seems weird, considering that I don't think I have ever been more tired during school then I was today. Maybe the sleepiness is making me giddy. Whatever the case, I'm getting to bed early tonight.

Stay radical people! Dif-tor heh smusma (Live long and prosper).

Hey.

One of my favourtie quotes ever is from Gatsby. Let's see how well I can remember it off the top of my head. "He had one of those rare smiles that had a quality of eternal reassurance to it that you may come across four or five times in life. It faced--or seemed to face-- the whole external world for an instant, then focused on you with an irresistible prejudice in your favour. It understood you just so far as you wanted to be understood, believed in you as you would like to believe in yourself and assured you that it had precisely the impression of you that, at your best, you hoped to convey." As far as more "classic" books go, I also adore A Tale of Two Cities. Vonnegut is wonderful. I've read a few of his short stories as well as Slaughterhouse Five and I love his writing immensely.

Also, had to explain to a semi-large group of people yesterday the concept of bisexuality and being bisexual and the difference between emotional attraction and physical attraction and just generally my experiences as a non-straight person. This time six months ago I was still terrified about the idea of being bi. Yay progress!

Moi,

Oh, sorry Cheez, I forgot to answer your question! Hmm...Favorite 'classic' novel?...Would A Clockwork Orange count? If so, that'd be it. It's kind of creepy, fascinating to follow along with Alex's life and thoughts, and the "lingo" (I think it was called "Nadsat") of the future is very cool. I've found myself using some of the words on more then a few occasions, like "moloko" when asking my dad if we have any milk and calling my friends my "droogs". Some of the words, like "appy polly loggy" (apology), "oddy knocky" (on one's own), or "horrorshow" (wonderful, excellent), I would love to use at some point in normal conversation. I think the reason I like using these words is a mixture of liking the way they sound, and enjoying the utterly confused looks people give me.

Anyway, I need to go bedways. Stay radical, people!

Hey.

So I'm doing this thing called Trumpet Survivor where current trumpets from the band as well as alums have been broken up into 4 tribes and we're given challenges and stuff and winners get immunity and losers have to vote someone off their tribe a la regular Survivor.

So our current challenge is to complete this trivia thing about past trumpets. The idea is to get us to talk to some of the alums who decided against joining Trumpet Survivor... but some of these questions are hilariously ridiculous. I mean... "Which trumpet actually hooked up with a cheerleader at the infamous Trumpet / Cheerleader Happy Hour of 2001? In whose bed(s) did the make-out session occur?", "Which trumpet vomited in a hotel elevator at Brian and Shayna’s ((a trumpet alum)) wedding?", "ShardZ once kept a pet hamster in Haus. What was that hamster’s name?", "Tori never got to be Drum Major in high school because one of the flutes in her year was the Drum Major three damn years in a row. What was that sh**ty flute’s full name?"

Oh band alums. You so cray.

Hi! I tend to take a love it or hate it approach to classic literature. Does Sherlock Holmes count? If so, it's my favorite. If not, I'm not sure, though I like a lot of Mark Twain and Charles Dickens' stuff. Then there's the Illiad and the Odyssey... Not a fan of Gatsby though, sorry (though it does have some good phrases). I tend to dislike those "and he failed and died, the end" type stories.

Hey guys! How you all doing?

Ok, I'm kinda happy right now! Why you ask? Well, minus a few revisions to make it flow better, which will take maybe a hour and sending it to the creator, I will have completed the first script for a television series! And I'm not doing it just for fun! I'm legit hired as a television script writer! That's pretty awesome! Aaaannnndddd My Bio homework is looking at me like: And what about me? Ugh, whydid I procastinate on it? Anyways, yeah, I'm almost on cloud nine right now, so yeah, I said my bit and now I'm going multitask and finish both! Multitask away!

Hope you guys have an awesome day!
