I'm officially an old woman. I got my knee wet on a night out last night, and with the cold weather, the cold has got into my knee joint and I can't bend down with my knees.

Hi! I safely made it to Hawaii, with no problems other than a brief flight delay. That said, I'm exhausted. I got around 5 hours of sleep last night, and must have woken up every 30 - 40 minutes during that. Add that to the very long day of travel (and my inability to sleep on planes) and the five hour time difference, and I really just want to crash for the night.

Hey.
So I'm healthy and alive again! Yay! Also back home in Massachusetts. My girlfriend came to stay a few days with me, which was really amazing. She just left about a half hour ago, so I'm still feeling a bit down as a result. I'll feel better once I know she's safely home... the drive's really long and I feel really bad that she has to go through it by herself.
MEH BUT ENOUGH OF THAT I'VE BEEN TOO GRUMPY/ANGSTY LATELY
Currently my life is pretty unexciting. Getting back grades from first semester, and so far I'm thoroughly pleased. Only a little lower than I'm used to, which, considering Cornell, is something I'm totally okay with. Also, I need to see The Hobbit. And Les Miserables when it comes out. Better be good.

Hi! A friend of mine from Florida just happens to be vacationing in Honolulu right now too (she's visiting her dad started a business here). This is her first time here, so I offered to show her around a bit (as a note, she's just a friend). So we plan to meet up a bit later today and walk around. Last night, she messaged me and said that her dad's the over protective sort and decided to tag along with us. This could be awkward... 
I also fail to see the point. I mean, I understand the whole over protectice father thing, but she's completely without supervision at college (lives in the dorms and everything), so watching over her here on vacation doesn't do much.

Hi! Hey Blivsey, nice to see you back. You know, Silver, if you're going to dissapear, you've got to do it right. Set it up to look like you got kidnapped by some weird cult or aliens or something. Make a mystery out out of it.
Hanging out with my friend yesterday turned out ok. Overprotective or not, her dad had to work so he only showed up briefly and he seemed like a nice guy.
In other news, my mom, brother, his girlfriend, and I are going snorkling today, so that should be fun.

ARG. I've been so inactive as of late. I guess you could say that I disappeared for a bit there...yeah, sure. Let's go with that.
...Well, my real reason for disappearing is that I have had so many tests this week, as well as projects to finish. Teachers just love setting these dates as close to break as possible, don't they?
And...I'm a bit annoyed at the weather in New York so far. It's been cold, it has, but there's no snow! Where did our lovely snow go? All I've seen is rain, rain, and more rain! It feels more like late March then mid December. My area is flanked by two of the great lakes, so we should at least be getting some lake effect snow. I mean, really? I want my snowy winter!
Oh, and the apparent end of the world is tomorrow. I am planning to listen to fitting music all day tomorrow. "It's the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine)" by R.E.M. I will also be wishing everyone a merry Mayan New Years tomorrow, so if I end up disappearing for another period of time, A happy Mayan New Years to you all!

Hi! I'm sick and tired of all that end of the world stuff. I mean, even the Mayans say that's not what the calendar means. 
Today I went on a snorkling cruise with my mom, brother, and his girlfriend. It was pretty awesome. There were tons of fish, sea turtles, and spinner dolphins. And, while we didn't snorkle near them, we saw some whales from the boat. And tonight we got sushi.
But yeah, fun day.

Aw yeah, holiday break! I can finally rest up, stop thinking about school for a bit, and eat some delicious candy and baked goods.
Also, I'm not going to be writing a whole lot right now. I have a very annoying migraine. The entire left side of my head is in pain. I do wonder what effects mingrains have on the brain though. Since the left side of the brain is the more logical side, does that mean that you become less logical and reasonable when you have a migraine? Does the creative right side of the brain take over? So many questions to ask, but right now, thinking makes the migraine worse. I think I'll lay down and eat some candy canes.

Hi! I believe I mentioned that I applied for a job writing a short story (more of a novella, actually) that ties into an upcoming video game. Well, while the contract won't be finalized until early January, it looks like I got it! Unfortunately, I can't really say anything else right now. Hopefully, in a few weeks I'll be able to tell you what game it is, though no guarentee. But anyway, it's pretty cool. It'll be a bit of extra money but, more importantly, a good way to help get my name out.
